They had been writing away for what felt like forever in their journal. Their latest dream had been far too detailed to not have some type of reasoning behind it so that very morning, Juno made their way towards the bakery to indulge in some croissants and gather their thoughts. What had started as bullet points earlier that night as they screamed themself awake, was now a full own ten page description of everything that occurred. They still had no idea what it meant, but at least they could come back to it over the next few days.
Juno wasn’t sure just how long they had been sitting there, but by the time they glanced up their eyes almost burned at the light. Off in the next table they spotted an older male with a book they recognized and so Juno took the opportunity to approach and ask a question, “How do you like it so far?” The author took a seat across from him, not bothering to ask ahead of time as their focus remained highly fixated on his current read. It wasn’t every day that they found someone with one of their books in hand, or near enough to ask questions. Juno simply sent the books to be published and moved onto the next.

With a lot of travel coming up for her soon, Kat was grateful for the chance to take a lazy day out around the spring festivities just to enjoy herself. She'd spent the day so far bouncing around activities and catching up with friends and was now with a few moments alone to go get herself a snack. Heading towards the rather lengthy line, Kat spotted a familiar face right towards the back of it. "Theo Andreas Bailey!" she yelled out, letting a loud whistle follow after. "How the hell are you? I haven't seen you in too long, gotta change that. Treat me to a free sample?"

Leila wasn't completely sure at what point in the night she had managed to acquire two drinks in hand, but somehow as she wandered over to find herself a spot to sit, both hands were grasped around glasses of a red looking drink that undoubtedly had more alcohol in it than she would have guessed initially. Plopping down in the first seat she could find, she offered a crooked smile over at Theo as she sat the two drinks in front of her. "I don't think both of these are for me, but I have them. Do you want one? I don't know what they are, but they are red...which is on theme. And they look fruity, which is good."

Music doesn’t stop with Nightmares on Wax, Corinne Bailey Rae, Theo Croker and James Lavelle
Music Life Available now 30 minutes
George Evelyn - AKA Nightmares on Wax - Corinne Bailey Rae, Theo Croker and James Lavelle discuss their creative relationship with music, the presence of social issues in music, and the pros and cons of the digital age.
Musician, record producer and DJ George Evelyn, aka Nightmares on Wax was born in the city of Leeds, UK, and is now based in Ibiza. In his youth, he was greatly inspired by the likes of Quincy Jones and Curtis Mayfield, before discovering hip hop. He originally formed Nightmares on Wax in 1988 as a group project alongside John Halnon, with Kevin Harper joining later, but after one album it became solely his project. He debuted on Warp Records with A Word of Science in 1991, and has since released eight studio albums, various mixes and DJed countless gigs across the globe.
Jazz trumpeter, composer and producer Theo Croker is known for his adventurous playing and determination to expand the horizons of jazz. He took up the trumpet around age 11 after being inspired by his grandfather, the legendary Doc Cheatham, and has released seven studio albums.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae shot to fame in 2006 with her self-titled UK number one debut album. She’s known for her soul-rooted indie sound and has collaborated with everyone from Mary J Blige and Al Green to Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder.
Electronic musician, DJ and label owner James Lavelle is best known for his work under the Unkle moniker. He started the band in 1992, and in the same year founded the influential trip hop label Mo’ Wax. As Unkle, he’s released eight full length studio albums, most recently Rōnin II.

&Wanted Plots
Alright so under the cut is a list of wanted plots inspired by songs. I’ve listed which of my characters could fit for each muse. So please hmu if you wanna pick any of them.
OPEN
CRIMINAL - BRITNEY SPEARS
Muse A is not a good person, either it be because of murder or just general criminal activities. But regardless, muse B cannot help but to be into them. As for muse A, they have a certain interest in muse B, and drags them into their own business.
Muse A could be Eisheth Pentland, Sebastian Bernal, or Theo Borges.
Muse B could be Genesis Ferrer, Kian Byrne, Lydia Marsden, Maureen Grey, or Nathaniel Bailey.
DEMONS - ALEC BENJAMIN
Muse A has always had a darker side of them, a pull towards something bad. Really bad. But then, muse B found them, and since then, they’ve been muse A’s anchor to reality, keeping them from going completely insane.
Muse A could be Alvaro Garza, Eisheth Pentland, Evan Rosenfeld, or Theo Borges.
Muse B could be Diane Abbott, Jaiden Atkinson, Kian Byrne, or Meredith Berkeley.
FRAGILE - GNASH FT. WRENN
Muse A has always been stoic, never showing much emotions. And when muse B finds them clearly shaken, it’s a side of muse A they’d never seen. They fully expect the other to tell them to kindly fuck off, but instead, muse A practically begs for muse B to stay; they’re just so lonely.
Muse A could be David Jenkins, Eisheth Pentland, Evan Rosenfeld, Finlay Ainsworth, Genesis Ferrer, Max Macmillan, Sebastian Bernal, or Theo Borges.
Muse B could be Alvaro Garza, Ariana Rizzo, Diane Abbott, Kian Byrne, Lillian Rieka, Maureen Grey, Meredith Berkeley, or Nathaniel Bailey.
HEAVILY BROKEN - THE VERONICAS
Muse A has had a rough past, and is still trying to get over it. Some days feel worse, and they feel like there is no hope. And that’s when muse B comes in, trying to help them find some hope.
Muse A could be Ariana Rizzo, Evan Rosenfeld, or Theo Borges.
Muse B could be Diane Abbott, Jaiden Atkinson, Kian Byrne, or Meredith Berkeley.
RESCUE ME - TOKIO HOTEL
Muse A was the only one that knew the darkest thoughts of muse B. So when they broke up, muse B felt like they were losing the one thing keeping them on the right track. They still often find themself reaching to muse A.
Muse A could be Genesis Ferrer, Lydia Marsden, or Osvaldo Montoya.
Muse B could be Evan Rosenfeld, or Theo Borges.
THE KNIFE IN MY BACK - ALEC BENJAMIN
Muse A was head over heels for muse B. At least, until muse B turned on them. They don’t know what happened between them exactly, but they’ve never felt so betrayed. *would have to be platonic in some cases
Muse A could be Ariana Rizzo, Diane Abbott, Kian Byrne, or Nathaniel Bailey.
Muse B could be Eisheth Pentland, Sebastian Bernal, or Theo Borges.
TAKEN
IF I KILLED SOMEONE FOR YOU - ALEC BENJAMIN
Muse A and muse B have been friends for a while. But when muse A is in danger, muse B doesn’t hesitate to kill someone in order to protect them. It can either lead to the friendship growing a little closer, or just breaking apart.
Muse A could be Ariana Rizzo, Kian Byrne, Lydia Marsden, Meredith Berkeley, or Nathaniel Bailey.
Muse B could be Evan Rosenfeld, Finlay Ainsworth(&Honor Rainier), Genesis Ferrer, Maureen Grey, or Theo Borges.

My 2018 CryptoArt/Music ReCap
I decided to focus full-time in this space towards the end of 2017. Seems like a decade ago now.
::::Signal Warning::::
I think it’s important to note that as an independent creative, I have the luxury to speak freely and I don’t have to tailor my thoughts to appease a venture capital investor or boss. I’m a Bitcoiner. I play with Ethereum too, but mainly because that’s where much of the cryptoArt experimentation has moved to over the past year but I would love to help some more Bitcoin-specific art/music projects get on their feet as well. (I’ve also fiddled with Waves, EOS and Tron but not enough to incorporate their protocols into my work yet.)
So, I’ve recapped my contributions and content last year and hope to expand and continue learning more in 2019.
Art On The Blockchain Podcast (AOTB)
AOTB is the crypto-art and music education- focused podcast brought to you by Cynthia Gayton and myself. They are generally 60–120 minutes long and I produce and edit each episode with all of my own original music and try to keep it in line with the feel from my DJ mixtapes. Hopefully, they come across totally different than what you are used to. Episodes 9–26 were all recorded in 2018. That’s an average of 1.5 podcasts per month of conversations with some of the vanguards of the cryptoArt space. A big bump from our 8 episodes in 2017!

On top of these long form episodes we also briefly branched out to FM radio with a bi-weekly 30 minute live radio show on WERA in Arlington, Virginia. For this show we focused on news and on local DC-area artists involved in cryptoArt. We had short interviews with artists like Vesa, Coldie and more. Although the show was a lot of fun to to do, we decided to discontinue it as it was hard to gauge how much it was being listened to and we could only repost to the archaic MixCloud website. Sometimes it’s hard being located in the cryptoArt-sparse Washington DC! lol

2018 A3C Festival in ATL
Educator, Speaker and Panelist
I found myself looking to educate people more as the conferences and panels in cryptoArt took off after the historic RAREAF Conference at the top of 2018. I participated in a number panels, discussions and even a teaching gig. In 2019, my goal is to continue on this path by educating, learning more and discussing in this niche and exciting space. Here’s a list.

Writings
I’ve always enjoyed writing and have a lofty goal of one day cooking up a novel. I started writing on cryptoArt in 2016 and I added a few more pieces in 2018 to the catalogue. Writing more will be near the top of the list of 2019.

Crypto- Themed Artwork and Tokenized pieces
In 2016/2017 I made a bunch of Counterparty (XCP/BTC) related artwork in the form of Rare Pepes. I made mostly hip-hop and Crypto-themed Pepes. As some in this space know now, I have an opinion- that the Rare Pepe Trading Group ignited this space faster than anything else. In 2018, as cryptoArt exploded, the Ethereum communities got behind the movement and hundreds of platforms seemed to pop up as you can witness in real time at dappradar.com. The Ethereum community is big on NFTs, (I personally dislike the name “NFT” to describe these collectibles but this article is not about that) crypto-collectibles and hackathons. I began experimenting with a few of these platforms but ultimately ended up mostly issuing my Ethereum-based art tokens through SuperRare. I really hope to try out Rare Art Labs more this year as well. I also continued using my go-to Counterparty platform to issue tokens using the Bitcoin blockchain.
Bitcorns sprung up around the beginning of February and I’ve really enjoyed that community. Even met my fiancee through the community (Tinder is for boomers.) KaleidoscopeXCP is one of the most innovative dark corners of the blockchain space and I really enjoy what goes on there. They basically use cryptoArt to break stuff or make you think. I also issued my own, and what I believe to be the first of it’s kind- Proof Of Work tokens to help facilitate my music- meme marketing for “Can’t Smoke A Bitcoin” and “I Wear Gucci.” This tokenizing experiment is certainly an interesting rabbit hole and I look to dive deeper this year!
Bitcoin Honey Badger (prints soon)
Bitcorns.com- CNTSMOKECORN (sold out in a day) & CORNTANGCLAN (some still available)
SuperRare.io- I WEAR GUCCI (sold 1/1), CANT SMOKE A BITCOIN (sold 4/5), FACES (sold 1/1), CLOCKWORK GREEN (sold 1/1), MUH BAGS (unsold 1/1)
Proof Of Share (XCP Tokens)- CANTSMOKEBTC and IWEARGUCCI One-of-a-kind tokens that were both airdropped to wallet holders that provably helped promote the release through twitter. They are basically game-ified swag badges using Bitcoin.
dada.nyc- I really like digitally finger-painting on this unique social media artist site, although I have yet to tokenize any of the pieces on there.
Digirare.com- Cool website to monitor stats and artists using XCP

DJPEPE
Maybe the hardest thing to explain to my friends and family is that I am a manager of a Bitcoin frog meme. It all started in 2016- Watch the 60 second video I produced in 2017 here. It escalated quickly on January 13, 2018 as I somehow conjured up a 6 foot cardboard cutout to speak on a panel with industry professionals. As much as Kat knew she was supposed to be taking it easy after a bit of a rough encounter during her last trip, she’d never been good at it. She was moving a bit stiff, but still finding reasons to get out of the house. That afternoon it was a trip over to the records store with Theo to shop for some new tunes to play at her place in the evenings. “What do you think, look chill enough for a bonfire party?” she asked, lifting up one of the records that had a beach scene on the cover. Kat added it to the basket of potential buys, even if she was not at all sure who the artist was. “What’s new with you, though? Feels like I haven’t seen you in ages, my guy.”

If there was anyone that she felt it was appropriate to blame for her choice of outfit, it was Theo. He’d poked fun at her at the Halloween party over her lack of costume and now, there she was, dressed up as the mummy that he’d teased her she should have been. It had been a stupid, spur of the moment decision to mess with Asli and show up dressed like a grotesque version of a mummy and Kat hadn’t regretted it for a moment. Of course, she had a nice dress prepared to change into after a bit, but she was going to have her fun first. And, of course, that fun came in the form of hiding behind a corner to jump out at Theo as he walked by. Timing it just right, Kat waited until he was just at the edge of the corner before she hopped out and grabbed onto him with an eerie zombie-like moan. “Theeeeeo.”

After a full week of activities, Kat was ready to enjoy the last day of everything going on for the spring festival. She’d gotten up relatively early to head out to the farm and had been wandering around taking it all in. She’d grabbed some food, chatted with some old friends, and was just about ready to head up in one of the hot air balloons when she spotted Theo. Quickening her pace, Kat jogged over towards him, tackling into him from behind with a bear hug. “Come ride up in the balloon with me, it’s embarrassing if I go by myself,” she grinned, nudging her shoulder into him softly. “I loaded up on all the free snacks, so it’ll basically be a picnic in the air and you can’t tell me that doesn’t sound amazing.”
