I had a new idea for a request but first here's a question, do you write about mk11?

If do to I have this....Okay what about old characters (not old old but old age y'know 😆) reacting to fem reader reader calling them "peepaw" and "Daddy"? In that way yk yk 🥴like this day she called them peepaw and another called them daddy, How will they react? (Raiden, hanzo hasashi, Kuai liang, shang tsung, fujin, old man johnny Cage, kano and erron black) they are all old Daddy's y'know😏

Raiden

The god has dedicated his entire existence to the preservation of Earthrealm since its inception. So, as you can imagine, he's old as shit. But Raiden never paid mind to this though, he never put much into anything concerning himself, to be frank. It is a miracle that the two of you even got together considering how busy he is.

The way you switch from "Peepaw" to "daddy" is so strange. Truly You Earthrealm mortals are so strange yet fascinating at the same time. Raiden always looks at you weirdly when you say this.

When you call him things like "peepaw", he finds it odd to hear that word. Especially since it's coming from you. You say it lightly as a joke, but he help but get into an existential crisis. He is old isn't he? He was here since the beginning of Earthrealm, before you or you family tree even began.

(If you're mortal) You will eventually grow old and die, but him, he will still be here until the end (unless he is killed of course). He uses this as an excuse to remain distant from you, he'll outlive you, so why bother if you're going to die anyway.

When you call him things like "daddy", he finds it even more weird. He is not your father, why would you call him such a thing? Unless of course there's something you're not telling him.

Do you mean this in a sexual manner? Why? If you find it arousing to think of him as a parental figure then he is deeply concerned about you. But, while saying that, it makes him feel...something else as well. He wishes you would address him as a "Peepaw" instead because he finds these feelings worrying.

The moment you do this, Raiden always falls silent. He doesn't know how to react, the idea of viewing him in that light makes him feel so flustered and...and...

"Um, Raiden?"

"I-I Must consult with the Elder Gods!"

Honzo Hasashi

This man has been through a lot. From the murder of his family and clan, the years spent as a Spectre, and his latter years as the new grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu. He was aware of his advanced age, but he had never cared. He in fact was grateful that he lived so long. And he's grateful that he met you.

So, when you call him "Peepaw" he is amused. Yes, he is old, isn't he? He has lived his second life far longer than he has ever anticipated to be here so long. A younger him would've been much more offended by this remark, but he's a "peepaw", not so young anymore. He spent so long angry and revenge-seeking, everything seemed so silly and embarrassing looking back at things. He takes your joke with pride gives a slight smirk and a chuckle and moves on.

Now, when you call him "Daddy", that is a whole 'nother response. The man was married, rest assured he can very much understand most sexual teasing and such. He thinks it strange that you refer to him as a father in such a sexual manner, considering he also had a kid. He wants to find it attractive, but the fact that you know, father, that is very difficult.

Whenever you go to him and call him that, he tries to play along. He attempts to get flirtatious but then the image of his dead son flashes before his eyes. It makes him feel gross as a result. He also feels guilt, for he remembers his wife, Harumi, he can't but feel like he's betraying her by doing this with you. "Y/n, please, never speak to me like that...ever..."

Kuai Liang

Though he is the youngest brother Kuai Liang has grown in many ways that exceed his brother. He was Cyborg, rebuilt the Lin Kuei, and saved Earthrealm from the Kotal Kahn attack. As he has gone on these adventures, you and him met.

It was obvious that he was an older man and you were much younger than him. But you never really much of a fuss about it. Actually, you joked about it quite a lot, calling him "Peepaw" and other things pertaining to his age. He takes being called "Peepaw" very well.

He smiles and shakes his head as he tries not to laugh that much. But he's very cute when he does.

His brother Bi-Han would've been much more offended by this, but Kuai, as we know, is a very cool and level-headed man. The way you joke about your relationship actually makes him take the age gap less seriously. He prefers you call him Peepaw as opposed to Daddy.

When you calm him Daddy he immediately gets taken by surprise. The man is gagged. he can only just stare at you, still processing what you just said and unaware of how to respond. He tries to retain his composure as he attempts to give you a stern expression, but he fails to fight off the blush on his face or put to together a cohesive sentence. He is at a loss for words. Finally, he just gives up and laughs.

Shang Tsung

The sorcerer has been known to have his age fluctuate many times. Sometimes he's young, other times, and most of the time, he's an old man. He is an old man most of the time and he hates it. You and him met when he was an old man, you were with him when he revitalized himself. He hates whenever you bring up his older body but he also loves the age gap between you for some concerning reason.

He has always been a smug man, it takes special skill and understanding of him to make him lose his cool. For him, it's calling him anything that involves looking down on him or calling him old. He doesn't appreciate you referring to him as "Peepaw". the moment those words leave your lips is one of instant regret. You watch his calm face scrunch into one of anger and disgust

"PEEPAW!!!" He said, snapping his neck to you. "Pee...paw..." rage boiling within him. You back away in surprise and growing fears build up within you. You try to laugh it off and explain that it was a joke. Tsung is usually a cool man, hiding his true feelings under a heartless and apathetic persona. But when it comes to comments like this "Pipsquek" burns him like a blazing iron. "Call me that again...and I cannot ensure your safety...I'd hate to disarray such a lovely form"

Now Daddy, on the other hand, he quite likes that. The moment you say it, he turns to you with a grin and raises an eyebrow. It is both charming and amusing to him. His arm wraps around you as his hands are down to the small of your back. "That's right, and you'll be a good girl for Daddy, won't you?"

He prefers you call him Daddy from then on. Just never call him Peepaw ever again...I'm serious...don't.

Fujin

Despite being here for centuries, Funjin still retained quite a youthful appearance as opposed to his brother who chose a more mature form. Also opposed to Raiden, Funjin has a very light-hearted and fun personality.

You met while he was travelling, he enjoys being around mortals, watching them live their lives, something that feels so short and delicate. You intrigued him, with your smile, your gentle skin, your naughty nature.

You never realized he was a god or his age until he casually revealed it one day. One day you were just hanging out and he was just like "Oh, right, I'm a god by the way." And after that point, it's been weird between you two. You realize just how powerful he is and how important he is to the universe...as well as the fact he is centuries older than you.

Fujin doesn't take this much seriously and it takes you some time to get used to it. Afterwards, you start to joke about his age a lot and Fujin has always found it adorable when you did it.

So when you refer to him as Peepaw he immediately finds it amusing and smiles at you. His smile is filled with life and charm despite his age. He might be old, but at least he isn't an old stick in the mud like his brother. "I find comfort in knowing that I am your favourite peepaw."

Fujin finds "daddy" a strange thing. It's both used to address someone as "father" but also can be used to mean...other things. The moment you call him it, he gives a confused look as he gives a light chuckle as his cheeks begin to flush. "I have been a woman as well, so I am a mother too," he says with a chuckle.

Johnny Cage

This actor's beautiful face has graced the silver screen for years. He is lauded across multiple countries as amazing and hot even after all these years, the man has aged gracefully though there have been rumours that he had work done, but these are obviously bogus.

You two met while on set for one of his movies. He didn't know what you were doing and he didn't care, he liked you so you started hanging out.

He was considerably older than you. He had a daughter that was no doubt closer to you in age than you were to him. And there has been news coverage talking about this age gap. But neither of you seemed to care about this, you just loved spending time with each other.

When you call him things like Peepaw Johnny can't help but laugh. Neither of you took his age seriously so you both have a good laugh at this and and move on. He might have an old accent to play off your joke. He is saying stuff like "You want some special hard 'candy'?" Whether or not they work varies.

Now, Daddy has a very different response. The moment you call him that he gives you a cheeky grin. He has been called this multiple times, all he needs to do is post a picture of the most random thing and his comment section is filled with thirsty comments.

He loves being called this, it never seems to get old for him. But while saying that, the way you call him daddy makes it feel like he's being called that for the first time.

What happens next is a barrage of you going back and forth with flirty banter. He looks at you with a hunger in his eyes as he bites his lip. "Well the, baby, why don't come show daddy some love."

Kano

This old crook has lived a long time, an unfortunate thing for many of his victims. His life has been spent either running from the law and Sonya or committing war crimes and terrorism. Doesn't he sound like a dreamboat?

Anyway, he is aware of how old he's got but doesn't care a bit. That's a thing about him, he has a careless and reckless nature that seems to draw many people in. You were one of those people. You two had met while he was on the run and you were cool with his life of crime, he liked your sweet and calm nature, and just like that you two were a thing.

Since this is Kano we're talking about, one of the things he likes about this relationship is your age gap. It's sort of a kink he has, and that's probably why he's also on a watchlist.

You find yourself amid playful banter. Like this one occasion. Kano called you baby. You called him "peepaw". Kano chuckles at this and rolls his eyes. "As if, no peepaw could do you like I do," He says with a naughty grin.

Normally, Kano likes to be referred to as "Uncle Kano". But on this occasion, whenever you call him daddy" he'll allow it just based on how hot he finds it. He really likes it when you call him this, I mean he really likes this. The moment you call him this he licks his lift as he stares at you. "Why don't you come here show Ol' Daddy Kano some love, eh?"

Erron Black

A man from old wild western times, Erron found whole changed when he was visited by Shang Tsung who bore a deadly deal: assassinate an Earthrealm warrior for him and he'd live forever. So he did it. Now he's been alive ever since.

You met during his time serving under Kotal Kahn. He really liked you so he started flirting with you. He was doing his best lines and you didn't understand a damn thing he said but you really liked his accent. And just like that you started hanging out.

The man has lived for decades but sometimes he acts like he is still in the Wild West. But you learned to get used to it, though you found it kinda funny when he'd talk in old Western slang. You did like to tease him, calling him "Peepaw" and stuff. Erron just laughs and rolls his eyes. He used to call his elders that, he never thought he'd be called it one day. The mere thought makes him laugh even more, so much to the point that you're concerned about him.

Erron hasn't been on Earth for quite some time. He was out exploring the realms. So when you call him daddy he is immediately confused in a very concerned way. Are you his kid? HAS HE BEEN KOCKING BOOTS WITH HIS DAUGHTER THE ENTIRE TIME!?!?!?!

After you finally calm him down and explain Erron shifts from concerned and scared to ver cool and seductive, in the was only he can do. "My such a dirty girl...perhaps you need a good spankin' to get you right."

In which the Traveler and Paimon unknowingly come across a mysterious adeptus by the name of Sky Weaver while the two are exploring near the sparsely populated cliffsides of Mt. Mingyuan. Or; In which the long-forgotten tale of the adeptus Sky Weaver is uncovered by Aether from the lips of the various Adepti of the Nation of Liyue and the people who know them.

“Now that we've helped Fujin tend to the soil, Paimon has noticed that it's a lot prettier in Chenyu Vale.”  

The floating fairy-like creature chirps as she hovers along the dirt path by her blonde companion's side.

“Speaking of prettier things. Traveler, did you notice that the sky here in Chenyu Vale is much different from the skies in the rest of Liyue?”

The golden blonde next to her stops and turns his gaze onto her, raising a brow of skepticism. His eyes then raise to the darkened sky that hangs above them and take in the sight.

What Paimon said was true. The sky truly was different from the rest of Liyue and any other region that the two had visited so far. As it was night, the sky was a deep midnight blue with swirls of violet and turquoise that seemed to glow from within the cotton-like clouds that partially obscured and circled the shining white moon. Stars speckle the suspended landscape of night haphazardly, their droplets of white add an almost otherworldly quality to the already ethereal scene. And, of course, the faded silhouette of Celestia looms ominously in the distance, creeping north ever so slowly. It truly was unlike anything that Aether had ever seen before.

“That's–… how did I never notice it.”

The golden blonde mumbles as he looks up in wonder and amazement, but also confusion. 

Why was the sky in Chenyu Vale so drastically different from anywhere else? What was so different about this place? How was the sky this way in the first place? It was strange; like the sky was altered by something to be this way, and although Aether wanted to think that something like that was impossible, his expectations have been demolished and rebuilt countless times since he descended into Teyvat.

The small bob-haired fairy floated in front of his face and waved her arms about to attract his attention.

“Hey, if you're curious about the sky, why don't we head back to Yilong Wharf and ask the locals about it? Maybe if we're lucky we'll run into Cloud Retai– uhm… Xianyun again; she might know too!” 

Paimon suggests before turning and floating further down the dirt road toward their new destination.

“Hm.”  

Aether hums, giving a curt nod as he follows his guide back to the wharf.

“Uuugh! Paimon is so tired! Why is Chiwang Terrace so far from here anyway!? It's already daytime!”  

Paimon whines as she slowly floats along with her blonde companion at a snail's pace in a slumped-over position.

“How about we head over to Jiulue Teahouse? We can sit down and eat some of the local dishes then we can start asking around.”  

The outlander chuckles softly as he reaches over and pats the floating girl on the head in sympathy before grabbing her and carefully holding her under his arm. Paimon only sighs and gives her friend a nod as she's carried off in the direction of the teahouse. 

On their way over to one of the nearby stalls, Aether spots a storyteller on the outside stage; maybe this storyteller has a few tales about the skies here. Though, after a short deliberation, he lets his floating companion go and buy food for the two of them while he goes and speaks to the storyteller; with a reasonable allowance, lest the girl buy out the stall's entire stock and empty his mora pouch.

Once the two part ways, the golden blonde sees the older man leaving off the stage, seemingly emptied of his arsenal of tall tales. So he waves the man, who he learns is named Jiewu going by the nearby chatter of patrons, down.

“Excuse me! I know that you just got off the stage, but I was wondering if you had any stories about the skies of Chenyu Vale?”  

He asked straightforwardly; getting a comical sweat drop from the older man at his bluntness.

Jiewu mutters a bit as he pinches his chin between his thumb and forefinger; his crow's feet becoming more pronounced as he squints his eyes in thought. The older man takes a glance up at the magnificent sky with a bland expression, as if it were the most mundane thing that he'd ever seen before. It was almost as if he didn't notice anything significant at all. Strange.

“I can't say I have any stories about the sky, young man. I've no clue why you're interested in something like that, there's nothing very spectacular about the sky.”  

Jiewu confusedly drones out; raising a thick brow at the blonde and taking another glance at the sky above.

“Was there anything else you needed, young man? If I'm not home soon, my wife will have a fit”  

The older man asks in a still polite but slightly rushed tone, making it clear that he wanted the conversation to end quickly.

Aether only shakes his head and allows the man to take his leave. Turning around, he sees Paimon floating toward him with bagged food in hand and an annoyed expression on her face. He raises a brow at her, silently asking what was wrong.

“Paimon asked the stall owner about the sky while waiting for the food, but he only looked at Paimon with a weird face and said ‘there's nothing really special about the sky, is there?’. And the other people Paimon asked said something similar!”  

The floating girl loudly complains before digging her hands into the bag, pulling out a skewer of food and angrily chomping on it; letting out muffled mumbles about giving the stall owner an ugly nickname.

Aether only sighs as he motions for his fairy-like companion to follow him.

Their next stop: Mt. Mingyuan!

As the traveler scaled the cliffs of Mt. Mingyuan, he kept hearing the sound of a paper bag rustling and the unmistakable munching of food. A metaphorical vein bulged out on his temple as he whipped his head around to look at his floating guide.

“You— Paimon, give me the bag! If you eat everything again, I swear I'll feed you to a cryo slime!”  

Aether growled as he recklessly took one hand off the cliffside to swipe at the bag in Paimon's hands, the girl dodging every time.

Unfortunately, all the wild movements made him lose his foothold in the cliffside and sent him plummeting towards the ground below. In too much shock to deploy his wind glider, all the golden blonde could do was stare upwards at the screaming Paimon who too was frozen in fear. 

But then… on the wind, he heard a faint whisper of droplets landing on the surface of water…

From beneath him, Aether felt a soft embrace pushing him upwards; the quiet sounds of shifting waters made him look back. What he could only describe was a small cloud of heavy mist with a ring of water swirling around it. The strange cloud lifted him, and Paimon when it reached the height she was at, up and over the cliffside, where it then came to a stop and seemingly patiently waited for him to get off. 

The golden blonde shakily stumbled off of the helpful cloud and fell on his bottom on the grassy cliff top. His heart beat erratically and his whole body trembled as the adrenaline finally caught up with him. He didn't even register the tearful apologies of his floating friend as she hugged him and sobbed into his chest.

“...One did not think that mortals had become so foolish over such a short time…”  

A gentle voice softly whispered from a place that Aether couldn't locate.

“...You shall consider yourself lucky that one was present to witness your fall, lest you no longer be among the living…”  

The voice spoke familiarly; it reminded Aether of how Xianyun and the other adeptus spoke. Surely this voice must belong to another adeptus that he just hadn't met yet.

“...Descend the mountain and return to a safer location, the cliffs of Mt. Mingyuan are no place for young mortals like yourself…”  

The voice spoke again, this time though, it seemed to be coming from the cloud that saved him from his fall. With every syllable pronounced, the cloud of mist gave off a faint but ethereal glow in a medley of colors. Colors that were reminiscent of the night sky that he had seen just yesterday.

Breaking from his adrenaline-fueled trance, Aether shakily gets to his feet and takes the still-sobbing Paimon into his arms. He spared a glance back at the cloud, tempted to stay and ask it about its possible connection to the mysterious skies that he had been wondering about, but one look at the disheveled companion in his arms and he knew his answer. He'd have to worry about that later, his dear friend needs him right now.

“Can… Can I ask you for your name?”  

The golden blonde asked, almost sounding as if he was begging with how his voice trembled.

“...One's name should be of no concern to you at this time; you must go now…”

The ‘cloud’ softly answered back, as if it were trying to coax a sleepy child back into a dream.

With that answer, Aether nodded and headed down the mountain with careful and measured steps, occasionally giving quick glances down at the sleeping Paimon's tear-stained face. He sighs, perhaps he can just ask about this mysterious adeptus another time, he has much more important things to worry about now.

Okay, imagine brothers Lin Kuei, Raiden, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, if their son was chosen as Earthrealm's champion and had won his first tournament.

author note: put these two requests together! gn!child. Anon don't listen to Bi-Han! Family is people that love and support you and help you out when you fall. Blood relations have very little to do with family💫

Bi-Han: -He'll never treat you as his kid, but at least you have enough education not to bother him too much. -Bi-Han will treat you like one of his ninjas. You are either perfection or nothing. -When you get chosen as Earthrealm champion, Bi-Han was proud, but mostly green with envy. -It should have been him or at least a true Lin Kuei. -It's good that you won the tournament because it brings more honour to the Lin Kuei, but don't expect much from him, at maximum a pat on your shoulder and a "you did your job well".

Kuai Liang: -He treats like you share the same blood; you are his kid. -But Liang doesn't make preferences! You'll have to train as hard as everyone else. -At maximum, Liang will be the one to clean your wounds, something that the other trainees won't have. -You being chosen as Earthrealm champion made Liang really proud. But he also is pretty worried. -"Be safe" He tells you, looking straight into your eyes, then kissing the top of your head. Liang has complete trust in you. -Liang isn't the one for parties, but you won, so the entire Shirai Ryu needs to celebrate!! -Liang is really proud of his kid.

Tomas Vrbada: -Oh, he knows this situation way too well. -Tomas is really soft with you. He doesn't want his child to suffer. -You'll have to train mostly with Liang and Harumi. -Tomas will be super proud when you get chosen as Earthrealm champion. -But he is also really worried! The chance of you getting hurt is so high. -For once, his usual vibes will match the ones when he works. Liu Kang feels a shiver when he accompanies you to Outworld. -Tomas gets drunk at the party when you come home as a winner. It's not like he ever doubted your skills, but damn he is so happy for you.

Raiden: -He doesn't have a family either, just Fujin, so Raiden will welcome you with open arms. Honestly, meditation helped you a lot when ugly emotions started to overcome any other thought. -Raiden will smile, hand landing in on your shoulder, full of pride. "I know you had the skills to become next Earthrealm champion." -He is not worried for you, and even when he is, Raiden starts to meditate. He doesn't want to send you any negative vibe. -Raiden won't throw a full party when you return home as a winner, but he'll gladly pay you a meal at Madame Bo! -Just for you. Kung Lao will try to sneak in. Make sure he'll pay his own meal.

Kung Lao: -It will be harder for him to treat you like you're his kid, but no way Lao will leave you alone! -You'll learn all his techniques. You'll be not only Lao n1 trainee but the n1 of the entire academy. -His chest is puffed out like a turkey one when you get chosen as Earthrealm champion. -"Obviously I knew you were going to be chosen. You had the best teacher, after all!" -Even happier when you come home as a winner. "Let's celebrate at Madame Bo! Raiden will pay for all of us!"

Liu Kang: -He knew you would have come. Liu Kang waited for this moment. -Honestly? Liu Kang always wanted to become a dad, and he knows you have a bright future in front of you. -He trains you, patch your wounds he is always next to you when you need it. -Feel free to tell him to back off. Liu Kang will nod, understading your feelings. Obviously, he was proud to announce you as Earthrealm champion. -And he will be even happier when you'll win the tournament, smile from one ear to another. -"Have you seen my kid! They are amazing, aren't they?" He'll carry you around, showing you off like the proud dad he is.

Kenshi Takahashi

-Okay so if it's before the blinding incident he would love to watch you perform your favorite tricks. -If it's after that, it would sadden him that he can't enjoy the performance completely. -But using Sento he can somewhat enjoy it as he did before. It doesn't feel the same though.

Raiden

-He thinks you are so cool. Like he admires you. -Will be your biggest fan. Might fight Kung Lao if he says that. -Would make a shirt or three of you performing. It's one way He supports you.

Kung Lao

-He wants you to teach him. He takes this seriously. -Will brag to everyone about how amazing he thinks you are. -When attempting to learn he would most likely hurt himself somehow.

Syzoth

-Is intrigued when you first tell him about your profession. -Once you show him some of the things you can do he is amazed. -Would ask if you could teach him some of the basics.

Liu Kang

-Remembers seeing something about it in a prior timeline. He thought it was interesting at the time. -Would like to watch you practice. He finds it cute when you are enjoying something you love. -Would tell Geras about some of your performances he has seen.

You met Shang through Fujin. It was when Fujin needed shelter and you welcomed him as usual. Nightwolf and Shang Tsung ventured with him, and Shang Tsung caught your eye.

He’d spend hours explaining Outworld to you, he wasn’t gonna lie, he did like the amazed look on your face when he explained the Outworld and Earthrealm. He would’ve explained his position until Fujin dragged him away, warning him not to do anything foolish.

“Do I look like the kind of man to do anything so foolish?” Shang Tsung asked.

“No.” Fujin answered, “You look like the kind of man playing at people’s hearts just for the fun of it.”

When I say Shang Tsung is the most private man you’ll ever meet, he’s VERY private. It took months to even realize that Shang is a sorcerer, let alone a soul stealing sorcerer. He intended to keep it that way, not wanting to scare you off.

Slowly, he’d court you. A harmless compliment here, advice there, and Fujin watching his back. But why did he want to court you? Fujin wasn’t wrong… Shang tried to put distance between you and him but it made things worse, he hated it when Fujin helped you, he hated it when you asked Nightwolf for advice. You should be coming to him! Not them.

Shang Tsung loves your curiosity, your calmness, the care that you gave him who was a total stranger to you. His heart ached at the amount of chances he got to steal your soul, but not once did he try.

You clicked your tongue, a dying rose laid in your hands, “Aw man.”

“What’s wrong?” Shang Tsung asked, kneeling by your side.

“The rose is dying.” You sighed, “I know it’s normal for them to die after a week or two but… I really liked this one.” Shang took the rose before you could toss it in the trash.

“Well, I find it quite beautiful.” You can expect to find a few bouquets of roses on your table.

You can imagine the horror when you finally understood all of that. And Shang Tsung understood that you needed time to process everything, but he wasn’t a patient man. He was at his breaking point, especially since Fujin scolded him for getting so close to you.

“You knew your secret was going to be revealed.” Fujin started, “What did you think was going to happen?”

“Shouldn’t you be their knight in shining armor?” Shang Tsung growled at him, “Humans are so sensitive.”

“I would but all they do is miss you.”

Shang Tsung is careful the next time he meets with you, and he is going to continue being careful.

Now for some actual headcanons. Like I said before, Shang Tsung is very private and he loves his privacy. But he also loves taking you to private places like a small pond, or a walk through one of the dangerous forests. Don’t think about enemies because this man will protect you with his life.

Shang Tsung prefers wilted flowers, from life to death, everything dies, he thinks it’s fascinating. But it’s also due to how you could use wilted flowers, framing them, making a Potpourri, he likes watching you craft stuff.

He does want to take you into Outworld, he really does, but sometimes he believes his powers may not be enough or if he turns his back for a second, you’ll be gone. Fujin will most likely try and kill him if he did in fact lose you.

He loves, loves, LOVES spoiling you. If he wasn’t so worried, he’d show you off more. But finally when he does take you into Outworld, you’re welcomed to a staff of your own.

Comfortable and lavish, calm and relaxing. You love his palace. Even when you have a throne of your own, you find his lap to be more comfortable.

Shang Tsung always has his eyes on you, whether it be his guards protecting you, or you alone by yourself, he always knows where you are at all times.

Everyone knows this man lies, he adores it, it’s his talent! But he ain’t gonna be lying to you, he would rather kneel to Raiden than tell a lie to you, even when it’s for the greater good.

You have Shang Tsung’s heart, his entire being, he’ll do anything to keep a happy face on you. Even when he has to danger himself to do it, he loves you too much.

Shang Tsung is a mixture of all five love languages, it’s not often he gets to spend quality time with you when he’s out attending Shao Kahn, but it’s when those restless nights where you’ll take a walk into the forest. He loves giving you the most expensive jewelry made, he loves it when you do use his lap as your own throne, even when you do have your own servants, he’ll be there to get you anything.

This man is a shifter, he definitely uses it in bed. He can easily satisfy your needs, all you need to do is beg.

Liu Kang would be a bit hostile to you due to your personality but when he discovers your honestly want to (try to) do good, he eases up a bit.

Liu Kang is interested in your abilities; how your able to power a non loving thing.

That is, until he discovers you have to use a living things heart.. though, you may use mice/rat hearts or pigeon hearts..

He is amazed that the dolls actually work when you put the hearts inside. (Just to mess with you, you sometimes make the dolls fight him.)

Fujin

Fujin thinks your an interesting mortal. Despite your cold personality, he is calm with you.

He asked what your hobby is and you said stealing peoples hearts… “pardon me?” “I said I make dolls.” “Ah.. okay..”

Fujin pretends to not hear the first thing you said and asks what type of dolls you make. You disregard his question and say you make dolls. You ask him if he wants to see you make it and he says yes.

You make the dolls and they are kind of.. disturbing but Fujin doesn’t say anything about it. Fujin is about to ask why you make the dolls when he suddenly sees you hold a mini mice heart.

He asks why your holding a heart and you don’t say anything. You put the heart in the doll and it suddenly starts moving. You whisper some things to it and you give it a biscuit. It holds the biscuit and walks towards Fujin. It hands Fujin the biscuit.

He is surprised but grabs the biscuit.. he asks if you use hearts to power the doll and you look at him and ask if he did not just see what you just did.

… He doesn’t say anything but he is interested in your powers.

Kitana/Jade

For some context, you wanted to 𝚋𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚘𝚠 Jade’s heart for your medium sized doll. You made a conclusion that her heart is healthy and full of delicious blood. When she pinned you down, she asked you why you attacked her and you said you wanted to 𝚋𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚘𝚠 her heart and you would give it back.. safe to say, she was shook.

Jade took you to Kitana Khan for punishment. Kitana asked Jade what you did and Jade recited what happened..

Kitana is shook as well.

Kitana decided to spare you so she can see what dolls you make and why they need hearts. Fast forward Kitana, Jade and you are all sitting on a chair by the table and your making a small doll.

Beforehand, Jade caught a rat and you dissected it’s heart. You use tweezers to pick up the heart and you insert it in the back of the dolls body. The doll comes to life and you give it a knife.. you whisper to it and you lean back.

The doll attacks Jade and Kitana.. and they fend off it. After they defeat the mini doll (which was suprisingly hard to do so) they go to confront you but..

your already gone.

Raiden

Raiden felt a disturbance in Earthrealm so he went to investigate it. After a while of searching, he found you, discerning some unfortunate human dead body. Raiden quickly sends a lighting bolt at you and you quickly move at the way.

Then, you calmly go back to what you were doing. Raiden is part of the shook gang. He sends another lighting bolt at you and you move out the way again, before walking to the body and ripping the heart out. Raiden thinks you’ve killed the person so you two engage in combat..

Whilst in combat, you quickly insert the heart into the doll and it comes to life, which makes Raiden pause in shock. (😭) The doll attacks Raiden and he fights the doll.. Raiden destroys the doll and you call him out for destroying your property.. He asks you why you needed the human heart and you said it’s for your dolls.

Raiden asks if your good or bad and you say you aren’t neither. Raiden suggests you join him to defend Earthrealm and you decide to do so.

Perhaps you’ll get more hearts this way! And more hearts equal more friends.

Kung Lao

Kung Lao has already known you for a while. (Honestly, I have no idea how to write how y’all meet so.. you just did lmao)

Kung Lao knows that your able to make dolls but at the cost of a livings things heart. He often asks you to make training dolls when he sees your bored.

It’s very enjoyable to see Kung Lao get beat by some dolls. Sometimes, you make a separate doll and you both bet who’s going to win.

Or, you tell your doll to go extra hard on Kung Lao.. for the frost time in a while, you and your doll literally laugh y’all’s ass off seeing Kung Lao get terribly beat.. (poor him)

Kung Lao cannot lie.. your laughter is kind of dry.. so he slightly cringes when he hears it but he would say anything. (He knows if he were to mention it, he would get jumped by your dolls)

Kano

Kano would definitely want you to make a doll army for him. He would make his men kill about 100+ people so you could take their hearts out and use it to power your dolls.

Although, you are a bit harsh on Kano, saying that you’ll do it if he gives you the amount of money you want. He asks how many money you want.. and you say “only 10 million.. per doll made.”

Aha, Kano choked on his spit. “How about $500,000 for all the dolls?” “No. I want 10 million dollars. If you cannot supply this, I will not make the dolls.”

Now, Kano has to somehow find 200 million dollars. He should be fine. I mean, he is the leader of the Black Dragon. It shouldn’t be difficult.

…

When Kano does give you the 200 million, you tell him that he has to give you $2000 as a late fee. Kano, a bit frustrated with you being a damn hustler, gives the $2000.

You make all the dolls and afterwards you bury the bodies.

(Only thing you didn’t tell Kano was that you made the dolls weak.. so basically, you just robbed him 💀)

Kotal Khan

Like Kano, Kayak Khan may ask you to make some dolls.

Since Kayak is a.. lion? or tiger, err whatever, he would bring you bodies of killers or thief’s.

You would be a bit mad with Kayak because he would often bite down on them a little to hard.. the heart has holes in it.

Kayak is intrigued by your ability to make living dolls from a heart.

(In a AU (alternate universe,) you took Mileena’s plush and put a heart in it. You made it pretend to be dead and when Mileena let her guard down, the plushie attacked Mileena and killed her)

He was amazed by how wonderful you were with not just fighting but many other things that make him wonder how someone as wonderful as you being so beautiful and amazing at everything even just smiling

He noticed how you felt going out in public so he would gently squeeze or rub your hand when your anxiety just rises and rises slowly feel yourself calm down

One day you and him were sparring taking a break and sitting on the beach when you decided to actually talk "Thank you for everything Liu" he looks at you with the biggest smile on his face

Soon after you started dating you noticed a change in your thoughts, feelings of life, and living life as well after being together

He never minds that you don't talk much or you don't go out a lot especially if you're alone or going real fat for awhile

You were walking together on the beach when you told him how you had felt for the past while since being together "I love you fujin you changed everything for me" he smiles kissing your forehead

You talk a bit more than ever as your relationship went on and sometimes talking to your friends as well which helped you deal with your inner demons

Kung Lao

He had really become a close knit friend right when you met each other always helping the other when they needed it

You both got together after a long while of flirting and moments of talking and opening up to each other about your pasta before being fighters

He was a source of comfort to and for you when you felt overwhelmed from fighting and being anxious which he would melt away with his understanding and patient ways

The both of you just understood each other even without any words said between you one of you knew how the other felt

He took naturally to helping you with your ADHD and anxiousness around others slowly building a group of people you trusted and felt safe with

The two of you were watching the sun near the Shaolin temple when you opened your heart to him "I know I'm not the easiest person to care for and about but I am really grateful for you and I love you" he smiles kissing you as you smile with him before going back to the temple

It's time! With our campaign concluded, and our energy replenished, let's do a final campaign tally and look at all the amazing contributors that helped make this fundraiser an astounding success. First of all, the final numbers: as you know, we raised $9,258 from 170 backers, 309% of our goal for an average of more than $50(!!!) per person. Our most backed tier was "Mandarin Seed" with 41, followed by Lime at 34. (hope you enjoyed all the citrus-y references 🌱)

For the high level tiers, we got 4(!!) Bronze Fujin backers at $250+ and 1 Gold Fujin at $1,000. There are no words to quantify our gratitude for this amount of support. But there's a sponsor wall on which we'll soon showcase our generous patrons' names (or not, as they wish)!

For add-ons, the winner is "Additional Sticker Set" (SO glad you love them as much as we do), followed by the "Shipping on Company Time–AO3 edition" sticker. This was our "target audience"-bait stretch goal, so we're glad to see it worked! FujoBoards are also ever-popular.

Even here, a lot of long-term collaborators, some in their first foray with git!

For the art (once again, have you tried moving the browser windows on the site?), we have two amazing artists to thank: @brokemycrown, our FujoGuide KS art director, created the "web" trio pics, while the rest is the work of @ymkse, with us since the very first Boba-tan art!

As you know, more goes into a project than coding and art. Between writing, proof-reading, alt-texting, cat-herding, pep-talking, and "running around getting things done" so many community contributors pitched in! We're still confirming who wants public credit, but here's a few:

@enigmalea, without whom so many of our projects wouldn't exist in their current form, did a bit of everything: from styling, to design, to wording, to typing... not even technical difficulties can keep her down!

VCat, without whom our website wouldn't have shipped in time

@starfieldcanvas, at their first big projects with us, gets the credit of "first volunteer to write a @bobaboard retrospective" (rather than founder @essential-randomness), which alone would be an incredible feat. However, Dove did a lot more, handling all our newsletters through the lead up to the campaign, thus making it possible for the team to make everything that needed happening actually happen. She also helped with design, FujoVerse copy, and even picked up coding (!) and GitHub (!!) to help update things here and there!

@elendraug picked up everything that needed picking up! From the humongous task of adding all our collaborators to @fujowebdev, to writing most of our alt text, to proofreading, to helping with drafts...

@xieliansbignaturals who took care of alt text, proofreading and cheerleading

@tarantasina, who kept the team on track and delighted us all with their Signature High-Spirit Emotional Encouragement™

@thebiballerina, who gave us social media wisdom, help with proofreading and wordsmithing, and other invaluable support

...and then me, @essential-randomness, who has written most of the posts delighting your days, manned an inordinate amount of social accounts, did everything-not-done-by-others, and somehow managed to get a company started on the wings of being a fujoshi–the highest of achievements.

With all of this said, the plan for the future: this campaign took us months to prepare on top of working on our other projects. We're now going to take a deserved couple of weeks to rest, then regroup to discuss next steps and priorities.

Formalizing all this into a company won't always be straightforward, and there will be decisions to make we haven’t even encountered yet. Our first priorities will be finishing FujoGuide Issue 2 and producing + shipping the rewards for this campaign.

Alongside this, we'll start contacting the lawyers you all recommended (seriously, thank you) so we can begin hiring with confidence, and continue the work making @bobaboard's governance independent so we can finally onboard more volunteers and push the project forward.

There's a lot to do (as you can see), and it will take time to realize the full potential of what you've helped us launch. We're incredibly excited to get to work, even more so now that we have some seed (money) to help lighten the load. And with this, we say (a temporary) goodbye.

Thank you everyone who supported us, and thank you everyone who's been at our side all along, and everyone who is joining our journey for the first time.

He enjoys showing your costumes off at any event or convention you guys go to

This man will melt if you cosplay as any of his movie characters. He just thinks it’s so cool and cute that you took the time to put an outfit together

Kung Lao

Once you explain what cosplay is to Kung Lao, he takes immediate interest

He has many questions about the characters you cosplay as

Lao doesn’t know much about tv shows, video games, etc., so this is a fun way to learn!

As you show him your past cosplays, you give a mini lesson on who the characters are, what media they’re from, why you like them, and why you chose to cosplay as them

He enjoys watching you put your costume together, wether it be you buy and commission pieces to be made, or you make your outfit yourself

As you show Lao your favorite tv shows, movies, and games, he’ll probably pick a character he likes and ask you to help him cosplay as them

He’ll most likely pick a character who wears a hat so he can incorporate his weapon into his cosplay

If you wear something revealing he may start to malfunction so here’s your warning

Fujin

Fujin my beloved <3

Just like Kung Lao, Fujin uses your cosplay to learn more about Earthrealm media and your interest in it

He’s in awe when he sees you cosplay

You just look?? So amazing?? And CUTE??

He loves how you express yourself through this hobby

If you just happen to have the TV on one day and he walks in, he’ll point at the screen and say you should cosplay as the character on screen

Even if it’s some stupid company mascot

The prettiest smile would be plastered on Fujin’s face if you make one of those ideas into reality

If you make your cosplay, Fujin would like to help out as best as he can. Cutting fabric, helping you take measurements, and all that jazz

Can i make a request please? Fujin, liu kang, kabal, kitana, and jade having a crush on s/o who can program and manipulate reality like its a video game and they sure their power as support for them (like healing, buffs their speed/strength/defenses/ect) but they dont really fight much and likes being the support. And how will they react when she ask if they want to play with her.

(As fun as the meta idea reader is a "gamer" I'd rather keep it lore friendly and simple as "reader is a jack of trades with magic and prefers to support rather than directly fight"

Although if they're in mortal kombat then outside influence isn't allowed, so their support would be limited to before or after a mortal kombat battle.)

Magical support reader

Fujin:

Fujin is amazed that, despite centuries, there is very few healers amongst mortals who involve themselves in mortal kombat. But even fewer who not only heal but amplify abilities. Of course, magiks is forbidden in an official mortal kombat tournament. But not in a personal challenge, so long as it is not during. Not that fujin would ever even need help in the first place, it would be over kill. But even gods can have trouble in certain situations so fujin appreciates the help. Although his pride will get in the way and he'll try to politely decline at first.

Liu kang:

This monk is so relived you're on the side of earthrealm. Even if you can't fight out of personal reasons or because in mortal kombat such magiks are limited anyways, he is grateful for your help outside of tournaments. An interesting proposition raiden offered was using your abilities to further the earthrealm warriors training, to prepare them against foes in an "unfair" advantage by buffing the opposition. Needless to say you made liu kang's training go to a whole new level of challenge. And may let himself get hurt on purpose so you can tend to his injuries.

Kabal:

Kabal doesn't think much of your enhancing magiks despite thinking they'd be very useful. As kabal is the type to use up valuable resources at the last minute. So you'd have to sneakily boost his abilities or outright tell him to get your help because this man outright forgets how useful you are even when you're not the one usually fighting. Not that kabal thinks little of you, far from it. Kabal just doesn't want to rely on you too much to make it a habit, he's closer to you than you would ever know, and its better no one knows how much you mean to him. Less enemies and headaches to deal with.

Kitana:

You are so invaluable there are no words in the edenian dictionary to describe. Even if you cannot fight in mortal kombat with your abilities, personal or divine rules aside, the fact you can not only heal others but provide great boons is fantastic. Regardless if they may be temporary. Kitana wants you by her side to help her if ever she finds herself in a predicament where someone gives her a personal challenge, that way you can give her a much needed edge if the opponent will be tough. Such as mileena or shao kahn, or her mother sindel if she's feeling particularly disagreeable that day.

Jade:

Like kitana, jade shares the same sediment. There are healers in edenia and many realms, but they are more rare to have such natural magiks devoted to such a dominion. So to have you in the pockets of the edenian court is highly favorable. Jade keeps you close by, although she may be more reluctant to not want to rely on you out of warriors pride. But elder gods help the poor opponent when jade is enhanced by magik that gives her either strength, endurance, and or speed.

📔FujoGuide Spotlight #3: Zine Demo📔

With the cast spotlights out of the way (find the links at the end of the thread), today we want to focus on the actual product we'll be putting in everyone's hands: our Version Control zine.

If you're just joining us, you can get this zine in your eager fujin hands (and help us reach our stretch goals) by backing us on Kickstarter.

Before we go into the nitty-gritty details, we chose Version Control as our first topic because, while working with both beginner and experienced coders, they reported it as the most life-changing (but intimidating) skill they gained. It also helps them join open-source projects!

Remember: all you see here is a work in progress, and things may and will change in the zine. Our campaign is a love-letter to Japanese productions like otome games and "cast full of hot boys" anime. Similarly, our zine calls back to Japanese fan productions, a.k.a. doujinshi.

As you likely noticed, we pride ourselves on committing to the bit. This zine is no different. For example, Boba-tan, pitched as the revolutionary brain behind our educational devices, is both its fictional author and protagonist. After all, who doesn't love a good self-insert?

After this, the zine follows a simple pattern: a comic explains the current plight of our protagonist, a new character/technology is introduced, and then we dive deeper into concrete examples of how the technology is used in a practical workflow. We keep it light but useful!

Fear not! Terminal has a simple solution, which we fully endorse: Boba-tan, meet Git! (bonus HTML cameo 👀)

Next is Git’s character introduction featuring @brokemycrown's amazing art. This page serves a double purpose: it adds depth to the character (and some laughs), but most importantly it's a memorable way to help the core concept immediately stick in the reader's brain.

And now we finally reach the core of our offering, that is our actual educational material. The current version (remember, a work in progress) was planned by @essential-randomness, written by @enigmalea, and reviewed by our technical writing consultant wiredferret.

After the campaign, we plan to work closely with backers to deliver material that truly works. But while the content is in flux, you can see the landmarks of our experience: simple explanations that don't shy away from the technical details, with hot men sprinkled all around!

Fun fact: we also used Git & GitHub to collaborate on the zine itself! Thanks to Vivliostyle's powerful tools for typesetting with code, @essential-randomness and @enigmalea were able to use the techniques we're teaching to iterate together without stepping on each other's toes!

MK Lads Looking After Sick Reader

Johnny Cage

If he hears you sighing and groaning, he'll peek his head in the room and laugh because he thinks you are being overdramatic.

When you start coughing and wheezing and leaking phlegm from nearly every hole in your face he feels bad, and will cringe in sympathy.

If you're so snotty and coughy that you can barely speak or sleep, Johnny gives you his famous cure-all, a whisky mac (whisky mixed with spiced wine).

It won't stop you from being sick, but it will help stop you from caring about it. He advises that you don't mix it with anything like nytol though unless you want to be out of commission for the next 15+ hours.

Raiden

He'll act exasperated that you're sick, but that won't stop him from looking after you.

If it's wintertime (or otherwise cold) then he immediately thinks about how to keep you warm, especially if you're suffering from fever chills. That might mean indoor heating, layering you with blankets, or lighting a fire for you.

If you're well enough to stand/move about, Raiden will encourage you to take a hot bath/shower, the water will help warm you up and the steam will help ease your congestion.

Ultimately Raiden will focus on making sure you are comfortable and rested until you begin to recover.

Fujin

Fujin is the kind of guy who drops EVERYTHING when someone he cares about gets sick.

So you better believe that Fujin is gonna dote on you, which for him manifests in asking as many questions as he can to make sure everything is to your liking.

Are you too hot? Too cold? Are you hungry? Do you have enough pillows? etc etc.

Tries to make you some stew to help ease your symptoms but because Gods don't really eat it doesn't come out quite right.

Thankfully you can't really taste or smell anything so it's basically edible. Fujin is so relieved that you aren't completely disgusted by what he's made.

Kung Lao

Now my boy Lao probably wouldn't make a great nurse but by golly, he is gonna try his darndest to look after you.

He wants to be helpful so desperately but your sickness is also quite gross, so despite his best attempts he will gag a bit while cleaning out any used tissues or sick buckets you have on hand.

If it's something that is highly contagious, like the flu or COVID, he will ignore all safety protocols and still hang out/isolate with you so you aren't lonely.

If your sickness is really bad and he wants to avoid it, he will wear PPE so he can still cuddle with you. Full face mask and gloves, he still wants to snuggle.

Lao isn't the best chef so I hope you like microwavable things and pot noodles cuz that's about all he can manage. He does, however, brew excellent teas.

Liu Kang

Unlike Lao, Kang would make an amazing nurse, he's kind, patient, and attentive, but will be firm about things you might not want to do that would help you recover.

He knows you feel like shit, but he'll still make you get out of bed, brush your teeth/shower, and have a little walk around or do some stretching for exercise.

If you're staying indoors to avoid spreading your sickness, Kang will help keep your mind occupied with things like scrabble or mahjong, so you don't go slowly mad.

When in doubt, Kang may encourage some traditional Chinese medicine treatments for you, which may range from some tai chi practice to taking some gui zhi tang.

i’m having feelings

so im stuck thinking about rain just gaining like 40lb and getting nice cushion around his muscles and the healed wounds new scars au. rant in the under cut.

like he looks nice as is, but like give a him more of raiden build, then it wouldnt take all his weight to knock someone over (see mkx and kotal fight). also him being raised by raiden and fujin meaning hes alot more calm and not fighting to prove his bettter than everyone else, validation via fujin, discipline vis raiden in perfect balance.

of course when he eventually gets to help raise liu kang and kung lao, hes their favorite cousin, bad influence helping them sneak out and do dangerous training, him and Bo’ rai cho don’t really talk or get along cause Bo’ rai cho is vulgar and rain is more proper. doesn’t mean that the first time Rain got his heart broken by his favorite mortal that he blessed died he did ended up drinking with the man. during his training all rain could think of is becoming the raiden of outworld to help all but meeting shao khan made him think it might be better to just kill the khan out right and give the throne to his daughter but he was out voted by the elder god, sad day he did a lot of training to cool one of the few times his temper acted up.

hes sassy and spite filled when push but all around nice guy on normal days, he has a soft spot for lao, no i’ll not go into this.

he did fight with raiden when he wanted to leave cause raiden was sure he wasnt ready for the real world he was proven wrong. that being said he was guilt tripped into staying longer by kid thunder cause “whose gonna look out for me!” weakness is unbecoming but kid thunder cried, hes not stationed at the temple of the elements after fujins defeat at the hands of Bi-han. he fucking hates it cause outworld needs him. kid thunder does live with him there against raidens will. 

argus is still a banned word around him cause its a 100% way to active his temper that he has an amazing handle on, full on lighting storms when him and raiden fight and or spar, fujin banned them fighting anywhere inside. hes also not around the jjinsei chamber alone he must have someone with him. jokes on them he hates that place. 

massive hatred for shang tsung and quan chi, jade is cool and kitana should not be left alone with him. hanzo is cool though why no one knows.
