Juliet of the Spirits by the B-52s

From their incredibly underrated 2008 album, Funplex (and yes this is where I got my username from). The song gets its name from a 1960s film about a woman who's trying to work up the strength to leave her cheating husband, but I think the song can also be interpreted as a more general one about moving past whatever is holding you back and living the happiest life possible, which totally speaks to me.

what b-52s songs/albums would you recommend? i think i just know rock lobster and love shack.

i would 100% recommend their stuff from 1983-1992, especially in the albums department. my top three of their albums consists of “whammy!”, “good stuff” and “bouncing off the satellites”, that’s if you wanted something specific

as for songs, i recommend “revolution earth”. it’s my favorite song by them, and i would definitely love to hear your thoughts on it. some other good songs are “private idaho” (another hit but whatever), “song for a future generation”, “dry county” and “theme for a nude beach”!
