Furtography

Furtography is based in Christchurch, New Zealand and serves clients throughout New Zealand and worldwide.

Craig has been working as a professional pet photographer since 2001, with dogs being his specialist subjects. In 2009 Craig left the beautiful island of Guernsey, where he grew up, to seek new adventures and opportunities on the other side of the world. Craig and his husband settled in Christchurch, New Zealand and Furtography was born.

Light Painting Photographer / Long Exposure Photographer

Peter Solness

Peter Solness is an Australian photographer who specialises in light painting photography. His work uses long camera exposures between 4 - 60 seconds. These long exposure times means that he can hand illuminate his subjects to create images seen in the photos.

Peter Solness has given me inspiration for my summative photos, I want to incorporate light painting into my work for the Night Owl side. The top right image with the red and blue lighting is something that I want to experiment with, to create the same coloured lighting I am going to use cellophane over lights and shoot with the colours, rather than editing in colour filters afterwards.

I don’t think I ever showed off our Furtography canvases so here they are along with the photos themselves! (which I know I’ve posted before but you can’t see the canvas that well in the picture so in case nobody has seen them before...) Beautiful high quality pieces. :)
