I finally got to cook on the beach! It was kind of drizzly and windy and exposed but we made it work.

We prepped some vegetables and fish at the house and brought them marinating in salt, oil and lemon juice.

Dragged some rocks around to build up the area around the bbq.

So I charred the courgette, tenderstem broccoli, tiny asparagus tips, mangetout, greenbeans and whole spring onions. Before cooking the fish - we picked up some monkfish and scallops from a fishmonger in Cellardyke, sadly they had no oysters though -_-

The monkfish was skewered on rosemary sprigs and I barbecued it and the scallops together.

We made a dressing of lime juice, parsley, evoo, garlic, chilli and spring onions. And toasted the bread on the grill too.

And we ate while drinking a Seaweed Gose beer from Futtle that we picked up in St Monans the day before :)

the smokehouse isnt open during the week this week for whatever reason, id been trying to book it. we went to crail for lobster instead. i was just in st monans this afternoon too looking at Futtle brewery and bottleshop...

Fictitious Celebrity Wife and Ambiguity with my Real Wife

        Morning of July 27, 2020. Monday.

        Dream #: 19,579-02. Reading time: 1 min 40 sec.

        Scene 1: My waking-life identity is extant to the point where Zsuzsanna and I are in a unique version of our current home. Her sister Judy has bird flu. Zsuzsanna has a bowl that looks as if it contains chicken soup. (Judy had a chicken that died recently in waking life.) It is one of many medications Judy will be using. (I do not consider that if it is Judy's medicine, why would Zsuzsanna have it?) The room seems to correlate with the one that two of our sons share, though it is empty and feels like a porch (which would indicate a lesser level of liminality and is my most common indicator in this mode with this level).

        Scene 2: In this part, less waking-life identity and less correlation with Zsuzsanna's present waking-life status unfolds. Zsuzsanna says she will test the medicine by putting it in her eyes, near her tear ducts (at least partly co-occurrent with instinctual awareness of being in REM sleep and a witnessed attempt to bring clarity to the dream state). Even so, she stands behind a low-set wooden fence, a fence being a typical indicator of the virtual divisions of liminality.

        Scene 3: My waking-life identity is absent. I am married to an actress called Suzi Futtle. I look at a newspaper where her photographs appear on several pages. I read the information about her career and celebrity outings. (Recently, reading in my dreams has more stability and clarity than in some previous times.)

        Scene 4: My waking-life identity is present again. I am telling Zsuzsanna about my dream (within my dream) in a typical false awakening. I even show her the newspaper from my previous dream segment (without realizing how ridiculous that is). However, there is now only one photograph of Suzi Futtle. Each photo is of a different actress, one much older, and none have a similar appearance.

        Notes:

        My false awakenings usually share the same attributes, the first being that I am writing down my previous dreaming experience or describing it to someone. Additionally, a false awakening is usually far less vivid than the dream before it.

        Knowing that much dream content is simply the result of instinctual awareness of the transition from sleep atonia to myoclonus and its anticipation, I still had brief puzzlement about the primary causal factors here until I realized the connection.

        "Futtle" is a distortion of "Tuttle" from 1985's "Brazil." That is the flight association, as well as its association with the surreal nature of dreaming.
