Iron Hatch resembles Blissey and carries Pokemon eggs in its fortified body. Initially believed to be an incubator from the future, none of the eggs have ever been seen hatching. Iron Hatch has been known to steal eggs directly from well-guarded Pokemon nests and using the nozzles that line its body to spray a strange fluid that seems to cause eggs to fall dormant. A suspicious magazine states that Iron Hatch were sent back in time to conserve certain Pokemon species after a coming catastrophe wreaked havoc on biodiversity.

I still have a ton of ideas for Paradox Pokemon, but as soon as I came up with a punny name for this future Blissey form it shot to the top of my priorities immediately. That's just how it is with me

My Defense of Violets Paradox Pokémon

So maybe it’s just my feeds and timelines but it seems people are really negative about the future paradox pokemon

Essentially calling them just robot version of their main counterpart

And as someone who liked Miraidon over Koraidon since announcement I feel the need to defend their existence lol

My quick summarized point is that Pokémon aren’t just animals and the future paradoxes reminds me more of the cyborg or robot companions in other media whether droids like r2-d2 in Star Wars or Cyborg in Teen titans and in those ways they can be better than just having a pet animal like Pokémon

From what I gather part of the dislike of the future paradox pokemon is mainly lack of change design wise, that they no longer appear as the animal companion certain people enjoy a lot, and they don’t make sense

Design wise

People feel they just put a metallic shine over them whereas the Scarlet paradoxes stand out more

And I think it’s either both or neither

You can say they just put a metallic shine over them but I can just say they made one part of the scarlet paradoxes more exaggerated like flutter wing just has bigger eyebrow wing things, scream tail made the hair ok jigglypuff long that it’s a tail, roaring moon a more feral mega salamence

Just as without scarlet paradoxes you can point out the notable ones like how Slither wings is on the ground

Can say similar things for something like Iron Valiant and how it mixes Gardevoir and Gallade

And obviously some are more standoutish like the recent paradox beasts

With violets paradox’s the thing is less than the scarlets is that the silhouette is the same as their originals

Iron moths might have disconnected solar panels as wings but it still has the same shape as Volcorona

Iron Bundle head can almost detach its head and its tail bag is now like a gun but silhouette the same as Delibird

Because it’s partly why Brute Bonnet is one of the least popular ones

But lastly for this point I think people pick and choose as people love Iron Thorns because of Tyranitars connection go Godzilla but Iron Thorns is one the ones that is most like it’s original Pokémon but then say theIron Swords are lazy saying it’s mostly just the same

Companions

Even though Pokémon are literally pocket monsters most seem to see them more as animals for one reason or another

This ties into the Pokémon are seen as pets narrative to a good number of fans and its like similar logic to why some don’t evolve their cute little *insert cute pokemon* and they would want ___ as a pet like how people like different breeds of cats and dogs and such

And it’s partly why people don’t like a lot of object Pokémon like garbodor, the vanilite line etc…

And while scarlet paradoxes just exaggerate the pokemon features

Violets mskes them closer to the object mons that some fans dislike

This is subjective of course it’s like asking whats better Piplup or Garchomp, one person might say Piplup due to the anime, cute design and etc but another might pick Garchomp because of competitive pokemon and how cool it looks

But I kinda view violets paradoxes to when people are friends or friendly to the non-human characters in sci-fis

Like in star wars the droids like r2-d2 and c3po are like pets but also have a companion feel to them that you can argue more along the lines of they’re slaves but that’s another discussion

In other media a character can become a cyborg or android and sure they might not look the same ans maybe have visible metal or etc but I think theyre just as much companions as a cute furry animal if not more depending on context

Back to star wars it’s like saying would you rather have R2D2 or loth cat (rebels). I think while loth cats might be cuter i would much rather have R2

Making sense?

Even though it’s in the name of paradox, people still don’t understand or can comprehend why the Pokémon are “robots”

As the branding is past and future versions, scarlet’s can get away being prehistoric due to things like fossils, regional forms and the Hisuian forms, let alone other things like Mega evolution

Where future paradoxes are more like cyborgs which has different implications

First the future paradox Pokémon are still living creatures as they can eat and such, robots implies they’re not alive, it’s small but does mean something when you consider characters like Cyborg in DC, 18 in DBZ and etc as cyborgs as they’re not robots hence why 18 can have a kid

I think the issue is people look at a Pokémon like Iron Treads and wonder how did Donphan go from this to that

Where with scarlet most can just be explained that they got more domesticated or natural evolution and etc

And honestly both options don’t sound great as it’s either Donphans were “enhanced” to the point of looking robotic or evolution made everything resemble robots and as a human that’s disconcerting to see natural/organic stuff disappear

But I think this is where the paradox part comes in as paradox aren’t just Pokémon from the past and future but different timelines and dimensions

Paradoxes can come from a world where it is as dark as it can sound or they can come from a place where everything was always that way or anything you can think of

Generally I think people are more worried and hesitant about cyborgs than cavemen for comparison which ties into the current AI dilemma irl but again different discussion

So that’s my rambling of a defense for Violets paradoxes

I didn’t even go into the types and how the names aren’t as big of a deal since a lot of machine inspired keep it consistent like how an iPhone is iPhone 15 or IPhone X or IPhone SE, iPhone is the equivalent or Iron here but oh well

I’m not quite done with the dlc yet in Violet as I haven’t discovered Iron Crown and Boulder yet for reference so maybe my point will change when I get more information on the paradox pokemon

Aight so i wanna talk about something

Why the fuck is this thing called Iron jugglis?

i saw this and asumed it has something special regarding its neck, heck my friend @shieras-gallery​ (follow her for amazing art) thought it has an extending neck, but recently i checked its animations, no, none of its battle animations and no! its neck does not extend.  PLUS 

the japanese name says Iron HEAD, so its confusing, what is the point of this thing’s name

Every other language is neck, exept korean which is specifically cast iron necl, and theres french, whis is iron HEADS, and chinese is iron nape, i got no clue what a nape is, im gonna guess it relates to neck or head most other future paradox pokemon have interesting twists on the original pokemon design, like iron moth with its solar sail wings, and the way they disconnect to form shields and other various arrangements to do attacks, or we got iron bundle, with its extending neck (hol up) and its, also extending, titiular bundle, which is full of water. an extra example, a more subtle one. there’s iron thorns, with its thorns being lazers, and a cool twist is how “ it is said to be coolheaded and prefers to avoid unnecessary fights.” meaning the hyper agressive tyranitar grew to be a more calm and collected so it really confuses me, what does iron jugglis have special for its name, why does its name relate to its neck? and what twist does it have on hydreigon beyond just having arms which are barely detatched from its body? What does this mon have special against hydreigon! I can descrive what the twist any other future paradox mon got  if anyone wonders, ive spent a ridiculous amount of time studyng these things, gamefreak goes nuts when designing pokemon like damn dude.

I might be reaching, but I think that the Johto legendaries having past paradox forms, and the Unova legendaries having future paradox forms may hint the the next two games are Unova remakes (obviously) and Legends: Celebi.

(Although a Legends: Victini that takes place in the future isn't out of the question... 🤔)

I'mma say something really quick about Pokémon

Y'know the Violet Paradoxes? The robots?

Yeah, they ain't "inorganic"

Those bastards, apparently, CANONICALLY, have actual fucking DNA. Which makes sense, as they are constantly referred to as "descendants" of modern Pokémon, not androids mimicking them or anything.

These things can EAT. Assumedly, they can BREED too. In the lore, of course. Game mechanics don't 100% reflect that.

Which is honestly fascinating to me. These mechanical creatures are still living things that eat and breathe and everything.

I honestly want more people to consider this stuff. It's just fun to think about.

Iron Hands, plus Apex varient

I feel like I got carried away with the idea of a Paradox Keldeo but headcanon: there is a Future Paradox Keldeo called Iron Cascade. Its parents never died in a fire which is why it never joined the Neo Swords. Its type combo also doesn’t match the pattern followed by the Neo Swords. Either it’s not Psychic or it kept its Fighting type instead of its Water type. I haven’t decided yet but given I’ve given it the name “Iron Cascade” and it probably has no idea the Neo Swords exist I’d say it probably kept the Water type and just got a different type to replace its Fighting type instead of Psychic. It’s friends with a Future Paradox Meloetta called Iron Serenade
