Fratto.
"A last minute submission from Italian artist M. Beckmann who works under TVSF name, and whose sound has its roots in guitar. Although knowing the name, I was unfamiliar with his work until now. 'Fratto' is near perfect drone, and whilst you could argue its difficult to innovate within this genre, Beckmann achieves something which has strength of presence, emotion and composition, drawing on a minimal beat to add dimension to the overall sound."
really happy to have a new piece among other great artists on Futuresequence's "SEQUENCE7". free to download. tvsf.

Epicentral Examples of the More or Less by Celer
Epicentral Examples of the More or Less by Celer
Celer is the solo ambient project of sound artist Will Long, who works out of Tokyo, Japan. He is well known for producing dense, emotive creations that are never lost in the gloom of myriad other ambient releases, due to the remarkable delicacy of each layer of sound in his pieces, which never become overwhelming or too drawn-out to to sustain their initial emotional content, as is so often the case with many extended ambient compositions. Indeed, the thought that goes into Celer releases is evident from the incredibly detailed titles that Long has given to each of the three tracks on Epicentral Examples of the More or Less, with each small portion of the title being relevant to an individual phase within each overall track – an arrangement choice which is made, on listening, into a feat of compositional skill, due to the fact that the tracks, even when starkly cutting between samples of reversing tapes, field recordings, and Celer's trademark throbbing, glowing drones, at no point ever sound merely like a compilation of small pieces. Rather, the album remains cohesive overall, and whilst at points the listener is met with surprises in the form of phasing waves of bright sequencers - a sound that many would never have imagined Long using after listening to releases such as Evaporate and Wonder - or even acid-house synth waves on Fill Your Light With Lessness from the third and final track - Epicentral Examples of the More or Less retains the genuine emotive content that has become a cornerstone of Celer releases, coupled with a creative talent that leaves most contemporary ambient music dead in the water. Recorded over two years in Jakarta, Indonesia and Tokyo, Long appears to have had time to revisit these recordings over and over again, allowing him to produce a release that is simultaneously a step forward for Celer's sound, and the level of musical wizardry that the rest of the ambient scene must now aspire to reach. released 20 July 2012 Recorded summer 2010 in Jakarta, Indonesia, and August 2011 - July 2012 in Tokyo, Japan. Mixed at Tatami Studios in Tokyo, Japan. Photography by Will Long Artwork by Michael Waring Listen & buy http://futuresequence.bandcamp.com/album/epicentral-examples-of-the-more-or-less

Radere – I'll Make You Quiet
Tumblr media
After two extraordinary compilations, Futuresequence, the web based magazine covering experimental ambient music, dives into releasing records. It is not that much of a surprise that the releases will cover a similar ground as Futuresequence does a web-zine or did with those two compilations. The first one will be from Radere, who is no a stranger to the ambient scene.
His album "I'll make you quiet" is a dark sorrowful piece; blurry string textures, distortion and deep, meditative drones build the foundation of the five tracks. Unlike a lot of more minimal ambient releases, "I'll make you quiet" ventures on the thicker and denser side of the spectrum. There is a lot to discover in those micro-movements, that buried are under a wall of sound.
Especially "So I left" stands out and breaks my heart. Its longing strings that nearly mantra-esque rephrase the motive over and over again without getting or giving relief, drown you in a sea of bittersweet sorrow. The emotional impact is intense. This intensity is something that can be said about all five tracks. They all not just fill the room with another drone-y wash of noise, but manage to transport an emotional depth that is moving and a joy to listen to.
"I'll make you quiet" is absolutely beautiful. Sad, melancholic yet euphoric at times. It is a great start for this new label and leaves me excited about the other releases that will come in the new future.

Between the Buried and Me- The Parallax II: Future Sequence
Out of all their records, This album has to be their best album yet. It has the most amazingly out-of-this-world concept that blows your mind. It is so unique and spectacular and every sound is surprising and incredible. No other band in the world can pull off the progressive metal-core style of BTBAM. These guys continue to push the boundaries of music. This music is not meant for human ears. These songs belong in a different time and space. This was the music that was sounding as the universe was being created...or destroyed... Thank you guys for everything
