I spent entirely too much time on this, but I really got going. I also probably missed a few people (and didn't even start on the crew because of so much overlap). I'm not sure if this is just Vancouver film industry at work or what, but I am done.

today i decided to comment on some popular bttf theories or questions asked. just to add my 2 cents.
why are doc and marty friends?? how the hell did they meet?!
SHUT UUPP why shouldn't they be friends? i don't see the issue and never have seen one. why can't a 17 year old boy be friends with a disgraced nuclear physicist? you don't have to question how they met. the movie establishes them as friENDS in the first five goddamn minutes, marty enters the lab without even knocking and obviously has access to a key. i like to think that the whole POINT of strickland telling marty that doc is a nutcase is to show the audience that he ISN'T a nutcase and, in fact, a nice guy and willing to do anything to help marty get home. sure, the whole plutonium and having the car drive towards them is. a bit questionable BUT it's also obvious that marty trusts doc. doc is willing to lay down his life for marty and marty is willing to do anything to save him. if that isn't true friendship, i don't know what is. there, are you happy now, you doubters?
marty dies multiple times in bttf 2
i'm kinda split on this one tbh. i quite enjoy the idea of doc being the one who has to save marty after marty saves him in part 1 & 3, with the same attitude of "i don't care what happens to the universe i just want to keep my bff alive". it makes sense, too. on the other hand, i also like the thought of doc either being there by coincidence or instinctively knowing marty was in danger. because he has dad instincts ok
marty's parents/george knew he was a time traveler
hmmm. i don't know about lorraine, but i can see that being the case for george. not only was george the first one to meet marty in 1955, him telling him his name without george having introduced himself and so on, there also was this whole darth vader scene, the "i didn't know you did anything creative", the way marty clearly called him "dad" lmao and overall marty's insistence to get george to ask lorraine out. george might not know for sure, but i can see him having developed a theory like that. also because he basically based his first novel on the whole darth vader thing.
the idea of the secret eventually being revealed at a later point and lorraine being like "????" while george goes "ah yes, i suspected that" is also funny so
doc brown kills lone pine marty
guys please why can't we keep these movies as lighthearted as possible. why can't this just be a normal time loop.
personally, i have always thought that normal marty and lone pine marty just switched timelines. tp marty went to 1955, set up his parents after ruining their first meeting, and got back to 1985. lp marty went back to 1955, didn't fuck around with his family history because he assumed that it was the whole calvin klein thing, thus his parents met the normal way and boom, twin pines timeline. or something like that.
i'm NOT liking the idea of doc ever harming any kind of marty thank you
doc brown is suicidal
no.
in all seriousness, i see where people are coming from. but doc is such an excited, enthusiastic character and i don't. no. just no. he wants to be a good person, to accomplish something in this world. he wouldn't just give up like this.
this theory just makes me sad
the delorean is sentient and stalls in just the right moments to prevent paradoxes
what a funny way to explain that deloreans were, in tom wilson's words, a piece of garbage
why does maggie mcfly look like lorraine when that's george's side of family?
bob gale explained that by saying that mcfly men are naturally attracted to women who look like lea thompson.
trixie and jennifer: *offended*
seriously? i don't fucking know. she just looks like her. coincidence. maybe she was from lorraine's family line, then one of her kids or siblings if she had any married someone else, and the families split up until george and lorraine met, meaning that stella and sam are maggie's descendants/from her family line. doesn't that make more sense
THATS IT FOR NOW i may reblog and add some more but for now enjoy my opinion

Wayne was raised in the small town of Gale's Hollow, working as a local lamp smith at Contour Lamps. While at first, he aimed to simply make a name for himself and gain some extra spending money, he soon relied on his craft to help his mother fund medical expenses for his sickly sister.
As time went by, he slowly began to befriend his coworker, Jamie O'Neil. Often finding their stories of fictional triumph, delight, and horrors to be fairly delightful to listen to as the sun set for the work day. It was something that almost always was able to distract him from the unfortunate situations at hand.
At least till one day when Jamie told him a story that stuck out to him as odd. It was about a shadowed being that brought misfortune to anyone foolish enough to walk alone at night with a torch. At first, Wayne dismissed it as well-told fiction, as he'd tricked home a fair amount of times in those conditions with no problem. Yet, when he heard the voice of a uncannily happy woman lost in the dark that night, he wasn't sure anymore.
⇢ᴘʀᴇsᴇɴᴛ:
After making the mistake of leading the shadowed being to his town, Wayne found himself overcome with guilt and shame when the aftermath of the creature's attack played out. Haunted by the demise of his home and loved ones, he hopes the mysterious letter he received from an unknown baron can be the cure to the curse he brought upon himself.

Memorial from African Methodist Episcopal Church of Atlanta, 2/1/1866

Series: Petitions and Memorials, 1793 - 1911
Record Group 233: Records of the U.S. House of Representatives, 1789 - 2015
Transcription:
Atlanta Ga Feb 1st 1866
To the Hon Senate and House Representatives
We your humble Petitioners Freedmen of Atlanta Ga. and members of the Colored Methodist Episcopal Church and a portion of the congregation lately worshiping with Said Church, Beg leave to represent to your honorable body, that during the late campaign of General Sherman through Georgia, our house of worship was torn down to the ground, and utterly demolished by a party of Federal Soldiers.
It was without the least provocation on our part, as we ever demeaned ourselves loyal, and never misused the Federal Soldiers, believing them our best friends.
Your petitioners would state that it was a large, commodious and well [word struck through] finished edifice, that had been built by ourselves when in slavery, our contributions for building were raised by very many hours of severe toil after our daily tasks were done for our Masters, And by denying ourselves many of the comforts of life.  It was our crown and joy.  It was to us what the temple was to the Jews.  When the dark days of war had passed, and we gathered again here from our wonderings, "our holy and beautiful house" was a mass of ruins. Havings no place but under the open canopy of Heaven to publicly worship the God of our fathers,
[page 2]
we gathered courage from adversity and trusting in God, out of the broken fragments remaining of the building, fitted up the skeleton of a house for the present exigency, but wholy inadequate to the wants of the congregation.  As almost all of us have been slaves all our lives, we are without pecuniary means to build another house of worship.  Most of us are struggling for dear life, dependent on the Small proceeds of our daily labor to support our families, and aid the sick and inferior among us.  We feel deeply thankful to the United States Government, who under god have given us the inestimable boon of Freedom.
We fully conscious of the desire for our welfare, for our physical condition and moral elevation.  Your petitioners are therefore the more bold and hopeful, considering that our Church was destroyed by federal Soldiers, without any provocation on our part, to petition your honorable body to make an appropriation of money to enable us to build another house of worship.  Our Church was valued at Seven thousand dollars.  We therefore ask the government to assist us in rebuilding it.  And we your servants will ever pray for your happiness and endless felicity.
[page 3]
[In transcribing this page, there seemed to be a difference between the "marks" of the preachers and the rest of the list of petitioners.]

Allman made her film debut as an actress in 1940's The Road to Singapore as a homely woman who pursues Bob Hope.
Tumblr media
On radio, she worked with Lucille Ball on “My Favorite Husband”.
Her first TV credit came in August 1951, in an episode of “Hollywood Theatre Time” written by “I Love Lucy” scribes Bob Carroll and Madelyn Pugh Davis. This undoubtedly led to her first encounter with Lucille Ball.
Tumblr media
Allman’s first episode of “I Love Lucy” is also one of the most memorable in TV history: “Job Switching” (ILL S2;E1) in September 1952.  She played the strident foreman of Kramer’s Candy Kitchen.
Tumblr media
This portrayal has been seen numerous times across various media, and often imitated, but perhaps none more brilliantly than on “Will & Grace” where Lucie Arnaz played the role originated by Allman.
“I’m thrilled to be invited to the party and will do my best to honor the memory of Elvia Allman’s iconic performance.” ~ Lucie Arnaz
Tumblr media
NEIGHBOR: “Do you wanna see Minnie or don’t ya?”
Allman returned to the show as one of Minnie Finch’s neighbors in “Fan Magazine Interview” (ILL S3;E17) in 1954, quite a change of pace.
Tumblr media
NANCY GRAHAM: “When did you first meet...himmm?”
Changing gears once again she played prim magazine reporter Nancy Graham in “The Homecoming” (ILL S5;E6) in 1955. The character is probably a tribute to Sheilah Graham, who was an English-born Hollywood journalist.
Tumblr media
Graham suggests that her article will be titled “NOW I AM HIS SLAVE” by LUCY RICARDO, a title that would raise more than a few eyebrows, even in 1955!
Tumblr media
She made two appearances on “The Lucy–Desi Comedy Hour“ - first as Ida Thompson, Westfield’s PTA director who is enamored of Tallulah Bankhead in “The Celebrity Next Door” (LDCH S1;E2) in December 1957.  The character is likely named in honor of Maury Thompson, who was the show’s long-time camera coordinator.
Tumblr media
She was Milton Berle’s over-protective secretary when “Milton Berle Hides Out at the Ricardos” (LDCH S3;E1) in 1959.
Tumblr media
Allman would also be seen on two episodes of “The Lucy Show.”  First as a customer shopping for a new hat when Lucy takes a job at Stacey’s Department Store in “Lucy Bags a Bargain” (TLS S4;E17) in 1966. Allman flips her wig when Lucy bungles the sale!
Tumblr media
Her second, and final Lucycom appearance, was in “Lucy The Babysitter” (TLS S5;E16) in 1967. Allman finally gets to use her own name to play the manager of an employment agency visited by Mrs. Carmichael. Coincidentally, the name of the business is the Unique Employment Agency, which will also be  the name of the Employment Agency on “Here’s Lucy.”  This pretty much brings things full circle for Allman, whose first episode of “I Love Lucy” featured the Acme Employment Agency, the agency that places Lucy and Ethel at Kramer’s Candy Kitchen!
Tumblr media
Allman’s final screen appearance with Lucille Ball reunited her with Bob Hope: “Bringing Back Vaudeville” on November 16, 1971 on NBC.
Tumblr media
Back in 1952, the same year Allman did her first “I Love Lucy” episode, she was a recurring character on NBC’s answer to “Lucy”, “I Married Joan” which - like “Lucy” - also filmed at General Service Studios.  Consequently, the two shows shared many performers. Allman played Aunt Vera for six episodes during season one.
Tumblr media
In May 1953, Allman did a single episode of “Our Miss Brooks,” filmed by Desilu. She appeared opposite Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Richard Crenna, and Gloria McMillan, all of who appeared on “I Love Lucy.”
Tumblr media
In October 1954, she played a maid on the Desilu filmed “Make Room for Daddy”.  In 1958, to symbolize the show’s move to CBS, the Williams family moved into the Ricardo home in Westport. In return, Lucy and Desi guest-starred on “The Danny Thomas Show” as the Ricardos.
Tumblr media
Also in 1954, Allman started appearing on Desilu’s “December Bride,” doing six episodes until 1959, mostly playing Sara Selkirk.  In 1957, Executive Producer Desi Arnaz appeared as himself. In 1960 she was featured on the very first episode of the sequel series, “Pete and Gladys” and did another episode in 1962.
Tumblr media
In October 1958, she did a day on Desilu’s “The Ann Sothern Show.” In November 1959,Lucille Ball played Lucy Ricardo on the series’ season two premiere.
Tumblr media
In January 1961, Allman played Henrietta Swanson on “The Andy Griffith Show” filmed on the Desilu backlot.
Tumblr media
A few months later, she did a day on “The Real McCoys”, also filmed on the Desilu backlot.
Tumblr media
In June 1964, Allman did an installment of “Vacation Playhouse” - a Desilu anthology series of possible pilots.
Tumblr media
In 1963 and 1965, Allman did episodes of “The Dick Van Dyke Show” filmed at Desilu Studios. The second featured Amzie Strickland, who also appeared with her in “Lucy Bags a Bargain” (TLS S4;E17).
Tumblr media
Allman has the distinction of appearing in all three of CBS’s inter-connected rural sitcoms (albeit as different characters): “The Beverly Hillbillies” (as Elverna Bradshaw); “Petticoat Junction” (as Selma Plout); and “Green Acres” (as Cora Watson).
Her final screen appearance was on a 1989 episode of “Murder She Wrote” starring Angela Lansbury.
Her first husband, Wesley B. Tourtellotte, was a musician whom she married in 1930. The marriage was short-lived and produced one child. Her second was Charles Pyle, who was often called Cash and Carry Pyle, an Illinois theater owner and sports agent. They married in 1937 but he died of a heart attack two years later. Her third and last marriage, to Jerome Bayler, lasted 33 years until his death in 1978.
Tumblr media
Allman died on March 6, 1992, aged 87.

Back to the Future Beat Sheet
Tumblr media
Written by: Robert Zemeckis & Bob Gale
Directed by: Robert Zemeckis
Genre: Golden Fleece
Opening Image: The camera pans through a room full of different types of clocks, each one ticking in perfect harmony.
Set-Up: Crazy inventions fill the home of Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd) as Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) enters. Doc phones him, asking to meet later that night. Marty rides to school via skateboard in a Save the Cat! moment that endears him to the viewer. At school, Marty and his girlfriend Jennifer (Claudia Wells) are caught by Principal Strickland, who calls Marty a slacker and states that he, like his father, will never amount to anything. Marty insists that the future will change, but is disappointed when he fails to gain entry into the Battle of the Bands. In his thesis world, Marty is stuck with his lot in life, unable to change it.
Theme Stated: Marty feels defeated, but Jennifer reminds him of Doc Brown’s advice: “If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.” Can Marty rise above his pitfalls and succeed, even against great odds? Can he change the path of his life?
Set-Up (Continued): In the town square, Marty and Jennifer sit in front of the defunct clock tower, which was struck by lightning 30 years earlier. A woman from the Hill Valley Preservation Society hands him a flyer reminding him of that fateful night. Marty’s home life leaves much to be desired; his father is a weakling and a pushover, while his brother and sister are losers. His mom, a hopeless romantic, reminds them of the night she fell in love with their father at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, where they first kissed.
Catalyst: Doc Brown calls Marty, telling him that he has made some breakthroughs and asks him to meet at the Twin Pines Mall.
Debate: What crazy invention has Doc created? When Marty arrives, Doc claims to have invented a time machine out of a DeLorean, but is this possible? Doc succeeds in the experiment and explains to Marty how he achieved this using the flux capacitor and plutonium. Doc is just about to travel into the future when Libyan terrorists arrive, killing him for stealing their plutonium. Marty flees in the DeLorean, accidentally arriving in the past. Wondering if he is in a dream, he locates his own neighborhood, which is only beginning construction. With the DeLorean out of energy, he must find a way to get back to the future.
Break into Two: Marty goes into town, finding himself in 1955 Hill Valley. This is his antithesis world, an upside-down version of the life he knows. Here, he has the possibility to change his own future.
B Story: The B Story will center on Marty’s relationship with his parents and, furthermore, his parents’ relationship with each other.
Fun and Games: Marty explores 1955, entering a diner to try and call Doc Brown. While at the diner, he meets the teenage version of his father, George McFly (Crispin Glover). The dynamics of 1985 are present in the past, with Biff Tannen (Thomas F. Wilson) bullying George. Marty follows his father to find him spying on his mother Lorraine (Lea Thompson) as a teenager. When George falls out of a tree and is nearly hit by a car, Marty saves his life, accidentally changing the future.
In the original timeline, Lorraine met George this way, but now, she meets Marty instead. Marty tries to blend in with her family at dinner but finds it difficult. He flees to Doc Brown’s house and convinces Doc that he had built a time machine that sent Marty back to 1955. Locating the DeLorean, Marty shows Doc videotape footage of the experiment. Doc wants to help Marty get back to his own time, but to do so, they would need to generate 1.21 gigawatts of power, impossible in 1955.
Midpoint: Doc notes that the only way to generate such power is through a bolt of lightning, which is unpredictable. A false victory occurs as Marty remembers the flyer about the clock tower lightning strike; with this knowledge, they can send him forward in time. The stakes are raised as a time clock appears; Doc tells Marty that he must not go anywhere or do anything for the following week — doing so could have serious repercussions on the future.
Bad Guys Close In: Unfortunately, Marty has already changed his future, interfering in the way his parents first met. His brother begins to disappear from the family photo he carries, and Marty realizes that he must get his parents back together. He must make it happen the way they originally met: at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance. Marty tries to get George to ask Lorraine out, but he is only interested in writing his science fiction, and she is unfortunately only interested in Marty. Marty convinces George to ask Lorraine to the dance, but Biff interrupts the moment.
Doc Brown comes up with a plan to harness the lightning’s energy, and Marty faces the Bad Guys of fate as he tries to tell Doc about his death at the hands of the Libyans, but Doc refuses to listen. Lorraine falls for Marty and asks him to the dance, complicating matters. Marty comes up with a plan to make George a hero in Lorraine’s eyes, one in which he will “save her” from Marty’s inappropriate advances. Should he fail to get his parents back together, Marty will unwittingly erase himself from history. Before enacting the plan, Marty tries once more to tell Doc of the future, and when Doc will not hear it, Marty writes him a letter to open in 1985. On the night of the dance, things do not go as planned, and instead of George interrupting the date, Biff Tannen appears.
All Is Lost: Biff gets in the car with Lorraine as his cronies lock Marty in a trunk. The whiff of death is in the air as George opens the car door, surprised that Biff is present. Biff threatens him, telling him to go away, although Lorraine begs George for help. Marty is rescued from the trunk, but he is too late to stop Biff.
Dark Night of the Soul: George finds the courage to confront Biff, who steps out to silence George. But, seeing the fear on Lorraine’s face, George punches Biff, knocking him out as Marty watches from afar. But this Dark Night of the Soul is not over yet; Marty must still get his parents to kiss at the dance, and he must play guitar in the place of an injured musician. During the dance, all seems to be going well until another student steals Lorraine away from George. Marty’s siblings begin to disappear from the photo, and the whiff of death rears its ugly head again as Marty himself begins to fade from reality. Finally, George steps up and takes Lorraine, kissing her, ensuring the McFly family’s future.
Break into Three: With his future intact, Marty says goodbye to his parents and goes to meet Doc at the clock tower. Doc finds Marty’s note and tears it up. This is Marty’s synthesis world, one in which he has embraced the possibility of changing his fate, and has actively done so.
Finale: Marty races into the DeLorean, but a high tower surprise occurs as a tree falls on the electric cable, disconnecting it from the clock tower. To make matters worse, the DeLorean won’t start. Now embracing the theme and realizing that anything is possible, Marty digs deep down and decides to go against Doc’s wishes, setting the DeLorean to go back a few minutes earlier in 1985 so that he can rescue Doc. Doc reconnects the cables, and as the lightning strikes the clock tower, Marty hits 88 miles per hour and disappears into the future. Unfortunately, it was not enough, and he watches again as Doc is gunned down.
Arriving at Doc’s side, Marty is surprised to find him alive; he had saved the scraps of notes and read it. Back home, Marty’s actions in 1955 appear to have altered his future; his entire family is happier and more successful. Doc’s words were right: Marty could accomplish anything if he put his mind to it, including changing his destiny. Doc finally realizes his dream of travelling into the future.
Final Image: As Doc arrives from the future, he takes Marty and Jennifer away in the DeLorean to a place where they don’t need roads, and where anything is possible.

Back to the Future:
A hecking classic, a movie that shaped so many lives and perhaps shaped the future of movies. It was a big inspirations in many movies after it was released. It first viewed in 1985 and became extremely popular. Now at least once a year the movies will rescreen it ^-^.
Quotes:
“Jesus, Didn’t That Guy Ever Have Hair?”
“Silence, Earthling! My Name Is Darth Vader. I Am An Extraterrestrial From The Planet Vulcan!”
Plot summary:
In 1985, Marty McFly is a typical teenager living in Hill Valley, California. At home, Marty's cowardly father George is bullied by his supervisor, Biff Tannen. His mother Lorraine is an overweight, depressed alcoholic, and his older siblings are professional and social failures. An aspiring musician, Marty's band is rejected for a music contest. He confides in his girlfriend Jennifer Parker about fears of becoming like his parents, despite his ambitions.
That night, Marty meets his eccentric scientist friend Emmett "Doc" Brown in the Twin Pines mall parking lot. Doc unveils a time machine built from a modified DeLorean, powered by plutonium he swindled from Libyan terrorists. Doc inputs a destination time of November 5, 1955 – the day he first conceived his time travel invention. The terrorists arrive unexpectedly, opening fire and shooting Doc. Marty flees in the DeLorean, inadvertently activating time travel when he reaches 88 miles per hour (142 km/h).
Arriving in 1955, Marty discovers he has no plutonium to return. While exploring a burgeoning Hill Valley, Marty encounters his teenage father and discovers Biff has been bullying him since high school. George falls into the path of an oncoming car while spying on the teenage Lorraine, and Marty is knocked unconscious while saving him. He wakes to find himself tended to by Lorraine, who becomes infatuated with him. Marty tracks down a younger Doc and convinces him he is from the future. Doc explains the only source available in 1955 capable of generating the required 1.21 gigawatts of power for time travel is a lightning bolt. Marty shows Doc a flyer from the future that documents an upcoming lightning strike at the town's courthouse. Marty's siblings begin to fade from a photo he is carrying with him. He and Doc realize Marty's actions are altering the future and jeopardizing their chances to exist; Lorraine was supposed to meet George instead of Marty after the car accident. Early attempts to get his parents acquainted fail, and Lorraine's infatuation with Marty deepens.
Lorraine asks Marty to the school dance. He plots to feign inappropriate advances on Lorraine, allowing George to intervene and "rescue" her. The plan goes awry when Biff's gang interrupts and locks Marty in the trunk of the performing band's car, while Biff forces himself onto Lorraine. George arrives expecting to find Marty, and Biff bullies him into submission. After Biff hurts Lorraine, an enraged George knocks him unconscious. He escorts a grateful Lorraine to the dance. The band frees Marty from their car, but the lead guitarist is injured in the process. Marty takes his place and performs while George and Lorraine share their first kiss. With his future no longer in jeopardy, Marty heads to the courthouse to meet Doc.
Doc discovers a note from Marty warning him about his future and destroys it, worried about the consequences. To save Doc, Marty re-calibrates the DeLorean to return ten minutes before he left the future. The lightning strikes, sending Marty back to 1985, but the DeLorean breaks down, forcing Marty to run back to the mall. He arrives as Doc is being shot. While Marty grieves at his side, Doc sits up, revealing he pieced Marty's note back together and wore a bulletproof vest. He takes Marty home and departs to the future in the DeLorean.
Marty wakes the next morning to discover his father is now a successful, confident author, his mother is fit and happy, his siblings are successful, and Biff is a servile valet in George's employ. As Marty reunites with Jennifer, Doc suddenly reappears in the DeLorean, insisting they return with him to the future to save their children from terrible fates.[
