Book 4 - Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries - society, power and colonial dynamics.

Part 3 - Construction of European modernity

Due to the work of a multitude of different scientists, all under the belief that knowledge contributes to the betterment of Humanity, the Scientific Revolution took place.

Francis Bacon created the experimental method, still in use today; René Descartes created the bases of rationalist thinking; William Harvey discovered how the circulatory system works; Galileu Galilei confirmed that the Earth orbited around the Sun; Johannes Kepler proved planets orbit in an elliptic orbit; and Isaac Newton created the Universal Law of Gravity.

All of these new discoveries completely changed old beliefs about Man and Nature, and many academies, with modern laboratories, frequently published their new discoveries.

Alongside the Scientific Revolution came the age of Enlightenment, that believed in equality(all people are born with certain rights given by Nature), popular sovereignty(any power depends on the will of the people) and separation of powers(the three government powers, executive, legislative and judicial must be seperate and equal).

These ideas were spread all over, through aristocratic salloons or in academies, but the most impactful mean was the Encyclopedia, also known as the Rational Dictionary of Science, of Art and of Crafts. They permited an easy acess to the quick advancements in science and Enlightened ideals.

hey lotusmi! i am the shifter and yes i would love to teach you but i will just make a separate post about it if i feel comfortable sharing this with you guys because what i have learned is basic so i will be shifting again and go there and learn new stuff. but before that i would like to tell you and all the other people that shifting is so easy like you can do it within a second actually and i have done that. its not only about shifting to new places but also learning new things which are similar to this world but really interesting. like this is a real example i am gonna talk about so in this world we have biology and in that we only know half of the stuff like 30% of the nature and stuff but the world i have shifted they talk about in-depth like 70% of biology stuff like omfg my brain just went somewhere else... they have weird names like "ethraplado" idk what that shit is that but its an hormone of something like seed germination were we have gibberellin (if you biology student you know it i guess?) but in here they talk about gibberellin and ethraplado? like idk what to believe it was whole another level. when i came to this reality and searched that word it wasn't there? so i was confused whether to believe it or not because that was crazy! i have shifted to world there which they talk about "180th sense" but we all know we only have 5 senses (touch, smell, hear, taste, sight) but in that world they have 180 senses of a human body!!!! like i was shocked i screamed in that world- and ran away cuz whatever they taught i just don't get it!!! i want to tell you guys that there are secrets outside the world which they have found out that we didnt so imagine if we just go to another world and know some of the stuff that "in" this world people dont know and we share this information in this world and they believe it? imagine that? lol that what i have been imagining cuz this would break the world honestly... like to know your opinions here guys?

Magic Malfunction - TickleTober2023 Day 18 (Magic)

Summary: When practicing a new spell on a practice dummy, it ends up ricocheting and hitting Ashton. While it doesn't hurt him, it does have him writhing in ticklish agony.

⚠️Warning⚠��: slight swearing

"Alright, let's try this again." Ashton said.

The young nobleman charged up a small amber-colored energy blast before firing it at a wooden dummy. When the blast exploded on impact, the particles left behind joined in a chain-like form and coiled around the wooden figure, constricting it before it snapped in two.

"Yes!" Ashton cheered.

It was early fall, and the heir to House Galileus was practicing a new spell a friend told him about. The young nobleman has been training for what felt like hours, unsuccessfully doing the spell. However, Ash was overjoyed to get the spell to do what was intended finally.

"So I only need to charge the blast for about five seconds before releasing it at my foe," Ashton said, "That's going to be tough in certain manners of combat when I need the spell right then and there."

The young nobleman hummed as teal-colored magic wafted from his hand.

"Maybe there's a way I can charge it quickly enough to have the same effects as before," Ashton thought aloud, "Let's give it a try!"

After repairing the wooden dummy with magic, Ashton stepped away from the figure and took a deep breath.

"Instead of charging the blast for five seconds, let's charge it for only three seconds." Ashton said.

The young heir raised his hand to the wooden dummy, and a small energy blast formed in the palm of his hand. After counting in his head, the heir sliced the air, releasing the energy blast. Instead of the energy blast being amber-colored, it was a blush pink. When the attack collided with the dummy, the wooden object rattled before deflecting the blast back at the young heir. Before Ashton could react, the energy blast hit the nobleman's chest, pushing him back a few inches. When Ashton inspected his body for any injuries, he sighed in relief.

"Okay, maybe I should just stick to the instructions and master this spell's basics before adding my own flair to it." Ashton said.

When Ashton dusted off his side, he let out a giggly yelp when he felt something light brush against his side.

"W-Whahat the hell is thihihis?" he questioned, giggles flowing from his lips.

When he glanced down at his side, he saw some blush pink particles bouncing around his side. Ashton covered his mouth to muffle the giggles that dared to spill.

"Ugh, dahahahammihihihit!" Ashton giggled, "Juhuhust what I neheheheeded!"

When he tried to swipe away the particles, they dodged his hand before slithering up to his ribs, causing the young nobleman to giggle softly.

"No, no! Hahahaha!" Ashton giggled, "Stohohohop!"

Ashton staggered as the particles buzzed and nuzzled against his ribs.

"Why ihihihis my mahahagic tihihihickling mehehehe?!" Ashton questioned, "This wahahahasn't suppohohohosed to hahahahappen!"

The young heir staggered back into a wall before slumping down and giggling his head off. The unbearable buzzing on his ribs made him fall to his side as he tried to cover the spot that was getting attacked.

"Stop, stohohohohop!" Ashton pleaded, "Nahahahaha! Hahahahehehe!"

When Ashton tried to swipe away the magic again, the blush pink particles slithered past his hand before nuzzling into his armpit, causing Ashton's giggles to escalate in volume.

"Not thehehehehere!" Ashton cried, "Why does thihihihis tihihickle so bahahahahad!?"

Ashton tried to cover his armpit but regretted it once he felt the particles nuzzle deeper into that spot, causing him to squeal.

"Bad idea, bad idehehehehea!" Ashton giggled.

Ashton growled through his giggles before raising his free hand. When he snapped his fingers, the tickling came to a halt. Ashton panted as he sat up, dusting off his outfit.

"Thahat… was somethihihihing…" Ashton panted.

However, his moment of rest was short-lived. When Ashton prepared to stand, Ashton squealed before dropping to all fours and letting out airy laughter.

"NAHAHAHAHA! NOT THEHEHEHERE!" Ashton cried.

The particles migrated from the nobleman's armpit and retreated to his biceps, a few inches away from his armpit. Somehow, the particles morphed into a small sheet of transparent magic, wrapping around the heir's bicep, vibrating lightly to send the nobleman into hysterics.

"AHAHAHAHA! NOHOHOHO! GET OHOHOHOHOFF!" Ashton cried, trying to scrape away the magic sheet.

When he did this, the magic sheet spread further up the nobleman's body, encasing his entire arm up to his neck in tickly magic. To any passerby, the magic looked like Ashton was wearing a piece of translucent armor that only covered his arm and shoulder. When Ashton felt the same buzzing feeling on his shoulder blades, he lost it.

"AHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! NAHAHAHAHAHAA!" Ashton cried, rolling around on the ground, "MAKE IT STOHOHOHOHOHOP!"

The young heir writhed in ticklish agony, trying to scrape away the magic sheet and cease the tickling. Ashton pounded at the ground in ticklish agony, knowing that won't do anything to stop the constant buzzing on his body.

"PLEHEHEHEHEASE! AAAAHAHAHAHAHA!" Ashton laughed, "SOHOHOHOMEONE HEHEHEHEHELP!"

Ashton didn't want to risk trying to snap away the magic again, fearing it would result in something worse than this, so he resorted to calling for help.

"HEHEHEHELP MEHEHEHEHE!" Ashton cried, "I CAHAHAHAHAN'T!"

A few seconds later, a young mage came running into the training grounds with a tome in hand.

"Young Master Ashton!" she said, "Is everything-"

When she noticed the young heir laughing, her demeanor changed, and her worry disappeared. Ashton glanced at her with tears of mirth in his eyes.

"PLEHEHEHEHEHEHASE! GET RID OF THE MAHAHAHAHAGIHIHIHIHIC!" he pleaded, "IT'S TIHIHIHIHIHICKLING MEHEHEHE!"

The young mage found herself chuckling. When she raised a hand towards the young nobleman, the translucent magic sheet disappeared, leaving Ashton to pant like a dog.

"Are you alright, Young Master?" the mage asked, kneeling beside him.

Ashton panted as he nodded to the mage. As the mage helped him stand, Ashton dusted off his clothes and sighed.

"If you do not mind me asking, how did you get yourself in such a… precarious situation?" the mage asked with a chuckle.

The young nobleman took a minute to catch his breath before answering.

"I was trying to learn a new spell, but it backfired on me," Ashton confessed, "I didn't know magic could… tickle someone."

"Magic can do just about anything, Young Master," the mage said, "If you would like, I would be more than happy to assist you in mastering the spell."

Ashton's head perked up to the offer, and he smiled.

"I would greatly appreciate that, thank you." Ashton said.

After Ashton gave the young mage a rundown of how the spell was supposed to go, the mage started tutoring the young heir, and in an hour, Ashton mastered the spell. He thanked the mage for tutoring and saving him from his tickly situation. He practically begged her not to say a word about what she saw, and the mage obliged, but the sight of the young heir smiling and laughing without a care in the world will forever remain rent-free in her mind.

A condenação de Galileu Galilei: Quando a ciência foi amordaçada pela Igreja

O julgamento de Galileu Galilei em 1633 é um dos momentos mais sombrios da história da ciência. O famoso astrônomo e físico foi considerado culpado de heresia pela Igreja Católica por defender a teoria heliocêntrica de Copérnico de que a Terra orbita em torno do Sol.

A condenação de Galileu é um exemplo de como a ciência pode ser amordaçada quando as crenças religiosas são colocadas acima da razão e da evidência. A Igreja Católica, na época, considerava a teoria de Galileu uma ameaça ao dogma da criação divina e, por isso, censurou suas ideias.

Galileu foi obrigado a renunciar suas crenças sob ameaça de tortura e, mais tarde, passou o resto de sua vida em prisão domiciliar. O julgamento de Galileu mostrou o poder que as instituições religiosas exerciam sobre a sociedade na época e o preço que os cientistas tinham que pagar por se opor às doutrinas religiosas.

Apesar da condenação de Galileu, a teoria heliocêntrica acabou sendo comprovada e a ciência progrediu, levando a uma melhor compreensão do universo. Hoje, reconhecemos a coragem de Galileu em enfrentar a oposição da Igreja e defendemos a liberdade de pensamento e a independência da ciência. A condenação de Galileu é uma lembrança sombria de como a ignorância e a intolerância podem atrasar o progresso e o avanço da humanidade.

As origens ocultas da ciência foram sendo obliteradas ao longo do tempo, e o ocultismo subjacente por trás de todos os seus projetos encoberto por um manto imaculado de pureza racionalista. Nenhum empreendimento humano, aliás, parece mais distante das superstições primitivas e do antigo misticismo do que aquele que recebe o rótulo ou a chancela de científico, logo associado a um certo grau de lógica física-matemática precisa e racionalidade técnica pragmática.

Nada mais falacioso, porém. A ciência e a magia compartilham a crença em princípios/leis universais, bem como o conhecimento de técnicas eficientes para manipular a natureza; as diferenças estão apenas na forma e no conteúdo de como essa crença é praticada. Desde o seu advento no século XVI, a chamada ciência moderna esteve sempre imbricada com a magia, a alquimia, a astrologia, o ocultismo e o satanismo.

Os líderes da Revolução Científica, entretanto, assim como os mágicos, desenvolveram o método experimental para torná-lo um dos meios frutíferos de investigação da natureza. Entre os expoentes, podemos citar Paracelsus (1493-1541), alquimista, médico e astrólogo suíço alemão; John Dee (1527-1608), alquimista, matemático e astrônomo inglês; Tycho Brahe (1546–1601), mago e astrônomo dinamarquês; Galileu Galilei (1564-1642), astrólogo, astrônomo, físico e engenheiro italiano; Roberto Fludd (1574-1637), alquimista, astrólogo, médico paracelsista, matemático e cosmologista inglês; Marie Meurdrac (1610-1680), alquimista e química francesa; Robert Boyle (1627-1691), alquimista, químico e físico inglês; e Isaac Newton (1642-1726), alquimista, matemático, físico, astrônomo e teólogo inglês.

Sobre Newton, não posso deixar de mencionar um trabalho ao qual ele dedicou boa parte de sua vida, o Tratado sobre a Topografia do Inferno, em que deduziu tamanho, volume e comprimento dos círculos infernais, sua profundidade e outras medidas. Essa prodigiosa mente científica envolvia-se também num misticismo sombrio e extravagante, que atribuía ao inferno uma realidade física igual à deste mundo.

Mais recentemente, temos o exemplo emblemático do pioneiro na engenharia de foguetes, o ocultista e satanista norte-americano Marvel Whiteside Parsons, mais conhecido como Jack Parsons (1914-1952), um gênio megalomaníaco brilhante pouco ortodoxo que nunca viu contradições em sendo ao mesmo tempo um cientista e um ocultista, direcionar suas atividades para ambas as áreas a ponto de as fazer convergir. Discípulo do mais perverso de todos os praticantes do ocultismo da história moderna, o satanista inglês Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), que se intitulava a “Besta do Apocalipse 666”, Parsons foi fundamental para a formação da JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory ou Laboratório de Propulsão a Jato, que ergueu uma estátua em sua homenagem), e mais tarde da NASA, que seria formada primordialmente por cientistas ocultistas remanescentes da SS nazista, entre eles o pai do foguete Saturno V que levou o homem à Lua, Wernher von Braun (1912-1977), por iniciados da Thelema de Crowley e por membros da Maçonaria.

Entrevendo na bomba atômica o instrumento que quebraria essas barreiras e abriria as portas para outras dimensões, Parsons iniciou o físico Julius Robert Oppenheimer (1904-1967), filho de imigrante judeu alemão e seus amigos físicos atômicos judeus do Los Alamos National Laboratory, não muito distante da base de lançamento de foguetes em Pasadena, sendo que muitos cientistas do S-1 Uranium Committee, do Comitê de Pesquisa de Defesa Nacional (National Defense Research Committee), que mais tarde evoluiu para o Projeto Manhattan, já eram ligados ao ocultismo, mais propriamente com a Cabala.

Uma foto tirada em um recinto do clube satanista Bohemian Grove em 14 de setembro de 1942, mostra vários cientistas S-1 Uranium Committee ali reunidos, entre eles Julius Robert Oppenheimer, o químico Harold Clayton Urey (1893-1981), o cientista nuclear e Prêmio Nobel de Física de 1939 (por sua invenção do cíclotron ou acelerador de partículas) Ernest Orlando Lawrence (1901-1958), o químico James Bryant Conant (1893-1978), o engenheiro e físico Lyman James Briggs (1874-1963), o químico Eger Vaughan Murphree (1898-1962), o físico Prêmio Nobel de Física de 1927 Arthur Holly Compton (1892-1962) e o físico britânico-canadense-americano Robert Lyster Thornton (1908-1985).

Os cientistas adeptos e praticantes do ocultismo e do satanismo aumentaram exponencialmente nas últimas décadas. O segredo todo é mantido por essa cabala que escolhe cuidadosamente os executores de seus planos entre seus próprios membros mais capazes e devotos. Só quem esteve profundamente envolvido no meio dessa gente é que poderia contar tudo com absoluta propriedade. Entretanto, pela coerção que exercem, dificilmente algum dissidente correria o risco de acabar como tantos que tiveram suas vidas e dos seus completamente destruídas. É o mesmo mecanismo de fidelidade que mantém coesas as sociedades secretas. Os que ingressam nelas, fazem um juramento ao entrar, algo como “juro pela minha própria alma que não revelarei nada sobre o que virei a tomar conhecimento aqui”. Pelos relatos de alguns whistleblowers (denunciantes), podemos, no entanto, ter alguma noção do que se passa no mundo daqueles que se gabam como imbuídos do mais absoluto e puro "racionalismo científico".

Um sujeito contou que na faculdade entrou para um clube de ciências que se reunia uma vez por semana para assistir filmes, discutir livros e conversar sobre todos os tipos de teorias e pesquisas. Enquanto estava lá, conheceu uma mulher que estava fazendo seu doutorado em física nuclear e que havia trabalhado por seis anos em um laboratório em Los Álamos.

O Laboratório Nacional de Los Álamos, no Estado do Novo México, é uma instituição federal coordenada pelo Departamento de Energia dos Estados Unidos e gerido pela Universidade da Califórnia. Criado em 1942, o Laboratório funcionou como centro secreto para o desenvolvimento das três primeiras armas nucleares, e seu primeiro diretor científico foi Oppenheimer, o qual teve como auxiliares mais próximos o general Leslie Richard Groves (1896-1970), um oficial do Corpo de Engenheiros do Exército dos Estados Unidos que supervisionou a construção do Pentágono e dirigiu o Projeto Manhattan, e o físico Ernest Orlando Lawrence (1901-1958). Um outro cientista que trabalhou na equipe foi o físico judeu de origem húngara Edward Teller (1908-2003), que havia emigrado para os Estados Unidos.

À medida que se tornaram amigos, ela começou a lhe contar algumas das coisas que tinha experimentado enquanto trabalhava no laboratório. Ela foi iniciada em um “círculo interno” de cientistas que tomaram LSD em uma pequena reunião privada. Ao longo das semanas e meses, as pessoas do círculo a informaram sobre coisas que estavam além da compreensão.

1) que os alienígenas eram reais;

2) que os alienígenas eram demônios;

3) que os humanos podem se comunicar e se corresponder com os demônios por meio da meditação guiada;

4) que os demônios poderiam ser invocados para fazer a vontade dos humanos;

5) que sacrifícios pessoais eram necessários para ganhar a confiança e a cumplicidade do demônio;

6) e que havia uma relação direta entre magia, espiritualidade e ciência.

Foi-lhe dito que a ciência e a religião estavam olhando para o mesmo “centro” de toda a existência, mas cada uma tinha suas próprias palavras para isso. O que a ciência chama de alienígenas, a religião chama de demônios. O que a ciência chama de matéria, a religião chama de firmamento. O que a ciência chama de energia, a religião chama de poder.

Os membros do círculo se envolviam em sacrifícios de sangue regulares, e em alguns casos sacrifícios humanos, entoando encantamentos tirados diretamente de antigos grimórios (coleções medievais de feitiços, rituais e encantamentos mágicos invariavelmente atribuídas a fontes clássicas hebraicas). Ela disse que sua compreensão do núcleo e dos fundamentos da ciência foi auxiliada pelos rituais religiosos, e os demônios foram contratados para cumprir suas ordens para promover suas pesquisas. A gota d’água para ela foi quando o círculo meditou por horas, culminando com membros orando abertamente a Satanás e oferecendo a ele tudo e qualquer coisa que ele quisesse. Era necessária a entrega total e completa de corpo e alma.

Ela disse que seu tempo no círculo a levou a ter um grave colapso mental e ela teve que ser hospitalizada em Alamogordo por dois meses. Enquanto ela estava lá, uma enfermeira que tratara outras pessoas que haviam passado por experiências semelhantes, a ajudou a fugir do hospital para longe dos outros membros do círculo que a observavam de perto para garantir que ela não tentasse fugir.

Ela foi escondida no porta-malas de um carro e conduzida por cinco estados, onde finalmente a colocaram em uma casa segura. Lá, ela foi “desprogramada” por cristãos que oraram por ela noite e dia. Ela disse que quando finalmente saiu de seu estupor, não podia acreditar em tudo o que tinha visto e feito enquanto estava no círculo. O grupo no esconderijo fez horas de gravações em vídeo dela contando sua história em grande detalhe. Quando isso foi concluído, eles providenciaram para que ela mudasse de nome, obtivesse um novo número de seguro social e assumisse uma nova identidade.

Ela então foi transferida para uma casa perto da faculdade para se recuperar do desgaste mental e físico de toda a experiência e, finalmente, estava saudável o suficiente para se matricular na faculdade e começar seu trabalho de doutorado sob sua nova identidade – ela já havia obtido um doutorado uma vez, mas não podia usar essa credencial porque era sua identidade anterior. Ela se tornou uma cristã devota por causa da experiência e lhe disse que estava convencida de que, se não tivesse confiado em Jesus, os demônios a encontrariam e a forçariam de volta ao círculo.

Ela finalmente lhe revelou que os mais altos escalões da ciência são formados em sua maioria por satanistas que se comunicam em código e são muito cuidadosos em não revelar suas crenças ou práticas a alguém que não seja iniciado. Por causa de sua devoção a Satanás, eles são recompensados com empregos lucrativos, generosas bolsas de pesquisa, reconhecimento nacional e as melhores instalações. E eles estão por toda parte, em todos os países e em todas as grandes cidades.
