Man, people on marketplace really suck at taking photos of furniture.

#how do you expect to sell a table if you can't even be bothered to get it from more than one angle?#or clear the garage clutter off it? or include measurements? SO MANY DON'T INCLUDE MEASUREMENTS!#at least 85% of marketplace furniture is Mystery Sized #just looked at one that had FIVE photos from the EXACT same angle all at slightly different levels of tilt and blurriness #there was a cat walking by in the background of 3 of them #I still don't have a table for my sewing machine and I can't start filming the sewing portion of my shirt tutorial until I get one >:(#I just need something smallish and sturdy #complaining #(not the lady I bought my desk from though! she was great and had all the measurements and a good set of clear photos)

As someone who doesn't really have the time or skills to DIY my own clothes, do you have any store recommendations? I hate giving money to evil corp™️ but I don't know where else to find clothes I like for affordable prices

I live really far from 'merica so etsy and small online business are not an option as shipping would cost me a liver :(

Yeah I almost never order from Etsy for the same reason! Honestly thought I don’t really buy clothes online at all. Most of my things are from thrift shops and vintage shops around Toronto. I’m aware that not everyone lives in a major city with easy access to these things but I do recommend checking out what’s in your area! Older clothes are often much better quality than what’s being produced today AND cheaper to buy because they’re used or out of style.

#oh it also just occurred to me #the black top with the sparkly skulls on it in the mall goth video is a vintage (late 90s I think) shirt my sister gave me for Christmas #it’s from the brand garage #the prep store I hissed at in the video #poetic cinema

when i was in 8th grade i had an exceptionally bad year and all my teachers were really understanding and accommodating considering i was missing a lot of school (psych ward stay, custody battle stuff etc) and during teacher appreciation week i made them all little 5x7 paintings and like. im still really glad i did that and i wonder if they still have those shitty little paintings lol. i did a bigger one for the school counselor cus i spent so much time with her. if it werent for one of my teachers that year telling my parents i seemed depressed im positive i wouldnt have gotten into therapy. idk i dont think i realised how grateful i was to have such a good set of teachers during that part of my life

#i did one of an ed roth hot rod monster for my cool science teacher and he said he put it in his garage with his hogs 😭 he was so cool.#he always talked abt the clash or whatever band was on my shirt with me. :') oh my heart.
