However, it wasn't just the two of them way back in the day. In fact, Shion actually warmed up to, befriended and grew closer to Suikyo MUCH faster than he did with Dohko. Their friendship soon blossomed into a polycule between them, while they were all pretty young as well. Unfortunately, as Next Dimension events' developed, this relationship wouldn't last. Unfortunately, much to Shion and especially Dohko's despair, their beloved Suikyo aligned himself with the enemy's side of the battle. The only solace came in the form of him dying, in Dohko's arms.

If I dig a little, I would find so many layers.

Like, of course Dohko gets sad occasionally, and apparently he has a particular song to sing on his darkest times. And he sings it frequently enough that Shiryu can recognize it and associates it to a feeling.

There are so many reasons why Dohko would sing this, he has gone through so much. He has lost so many people...

Poor Dohko! That is not the life he deserves but the one he is fated to live

So it's obvious that Hades' Specters aren't human, right? So what are they then? Demons taking the form of humans?

Is it obvious, though?

The only specter I can remember not appearing human is Myu, who goes from bug to humanoid bug. In ND, the Gargoyle Specter blakcmails a human Suikyo into becoming the Garuda Specter, which would imply the Evil Star possesses a host (or however you want to interpret the role of the Evil Stars), or the Evil Star is part of the Surplice. In LC, which is not canon, Tokusa (Yuzu’s brother) dies and then returns from the dead as a Specter.

Would you explain further why you believe they are not human at all?
