Wow. I bet that’s kind of frustrating. Still worth it though, right?

Aww, it's not frustrating! It's actually just hard to completely fathom, but I'm sure that's true of anyone creating anything. It takes up so much of your brain for such a long time, it's hard to imagine it making sense in a burst like that. But of course it does! I've read lots of books really fast, so I don't know why it's so difficult to contemplate when it's something I wrote myself.

I got used to it with The Progress of Sherlock Holmes. It seemed to take people about 3 hours to read, and it took me 3 months to write. At first, after interacting with people along the way, it's just hard to imagine all that fitting into 3 hours. 

But it's not the same experience, I think, reading a WIP versus reading a complete work. I'm not entirely sure I understand how the experiences differ entirely, but readings something serially is definitely different. So I shouldn't imagine the serial experience distilled into a few hours. It's really an experience of its own.

At this point I'm not sure what the experience of reading The Quiet Man complete is like.

Obviously I'm still a bit in denial about being finished. Ha! I miss working on it already.

On top of that... I walked Grrl to school... took my phone with me to listen to some tunes on the way home... only no tunes...

Oh... I love doing this.

The bakery near where i work makes cinnamon bread loaves. I make up a giant batch of french toast out of it and put it in sandwich bags in the freezer. then whenever i want I can just throw a slice in the toaster oven or frying pan and reheat it and VOLIA instant french toast... that is TO DIE FOR.

pancakes would be a bit weird maybe... might not be as fluffy out of the freezer.
