Scriu şi aici majoritatea din ce-am răspuns la o altă postare, pt că e important:

În jumătate dintre alegerile din România, candidatul cu procent mai mic în t1 a câştigat în t2:

-1996-t1 Constantinescu 28%, Iliescu 32%, în t2 C-54%, I-45%

-2004-t1 Băsescu 34%, Năstase 41%, în t2 B-51%, N-48%

-2014-t1 Iohannis-30%, Ponta-40%, t2 I-54%, P-45%

Acum diferenţa e mai mare, Simion aproape 41%, Dan aproape 21%, dar şi mobilizarea va fi mai mare - cred că oamenii pur şi simplu n-au înţeles ce masivă e manipularea putinistă şi că putem într-adevăr să ne trezim cu Simion preşedinte; acum că i-a trăsnit în sfârşit revelaţia, vor veni la vot mult mai mult decât un ruşinos 53%.

Deci să nu ne pierdem deloc optimismul, în situaţia asta cea mai dăunătoare mentalitate ar fi cea că oricum nu mai avem ce face.

Să ieşim la vot, să le spunem şi altora să voteze şi mai ales să distribuim cât mai mult informaţii, pe social media mai ales, că acolo se întinde mai vast, dar şi în persoană, despre ce fel de om e Simion şi ce mentalităţi au acoliţii lui.

Every once in a while there is good news. And today it comes from Romania.

In the second round of Romania's presidential election, the moderate mayor of Bucharest, Nicuşor Dan defeated ultranationalist George Simion by over 7% in Sunday's election.

Simion is a firebrand who channels MAGA and hates Ukraine. His election would have been a disaster for the EU and NATO.

In the first round on May 4th, Simion got 40.96% of the vote while Dan trailed way back with 20.99%.

But pro-democracy Romanians united behind Dan and the turnout from the first round (53.2%) surged to 64.7% on Sunday.

Here are the second round results directly from Romania's Autoritatea Electorală Permanentă.

The centrist mayor of Bucharest, Nicuşor Dan, has begun sounding out Romania’s political parties over forming a new majority government after winning the country’s presidential election in a surprise result greeted with relief across the EU. With all votes counted on Monday morning, Dan, who had described the second round vote as a battle between “a pro-western and an anti-western Romania”, scored 53.6%, official figures showed, against 46.4% for his far-right rival George Simion.

Simion at first tried to pull a Trump by claiming that he was the real winner. But as the returns continued to flow in, even he couldn't deny the outcome.

Simion, a former soccer ultra and ultranationalist agitator, at first refused to concede, claiming on social media on Sunday, “I am the new president of Romania”. But he later acknowledged Dan “won the election, and this was the will of the Romanian people”.

The first foreign leader to congratulate Dan was a delighted President Maia Sandu of neighboring Moldova, a Romanian speaking former part of the USSR: „România, mergem împreună cu încredere pe drumul european!” (Romania, let us walk together with confidence on the European path!). Other leaders had reactions.

EU leaders congratulated Dan. The European Commission’s president, Ursula von der Leyen, said the result would help “a strong Europe”, while European Council president, António Costa, called it “a strong signal of Romanians’ attachment to the European project”. The French president, Emmanuel Macron, said Romania had “chosen democracy, the rule of law, and the European Union”. Ukraine’s leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, also congratulated Dan, saying it was “important to have Romania as a reliable partner”. The result deprives Hungary’s illiberal leader, Viktor Orbán, the EU’s disrupter-in-chief, and Slovakia’s Robert Fico – both of whom oppose military aid for Ukraine – of a new ally in key decisions on the war, energy, EU enlargement and the bloc’s budget.

It was a bad night for Putin, Trump, and the far right and a good one for democracy, the rule of law, and Ukraine.

În acest sfârșit de săptămână va avea loc turul 2 al alegerilor prezidențiale, al căror candidați duc o luptă foarte strânsă. Dragi români de pretutindeni, sper că veți fi prezenți la urne fiindcă aceste alegeri sunt decisive pentru viitorul țării noastre. Prima alegere este un om care este șeful unui partid care, în plină pandemie, s-a opus vaccinării contra covidului și a împânzit nenumărate teorii ale conspirației. George Simion este un candidat politic de extremă dreaptă, anti-UE și contra ajutorului militar pentru Ucraina, în ciuda faptului că Rusia reprezintă o amenințare pentru toată Europa. Deși se absentează de la dezbateri, are tupeul să jignească toate familiile care se ocupă de copii cu nevoi speciale, prin folosirea cuvântului autist ca insultă adresată adversarului său politic. A doua alegere este un om care nu numai că a fost olimpic la matematică și a studiat-o în Paris, ci are experiență politică extensivă ca și primar reales al Capitalei. De asemenea, prin Asociația Salvați Bucureștiul, a câștigat o mulțime de procese contra autorităților locale și astfel a salvat spații verzi și case de patrimoniu. Nicușor Dan ne va conduce în direcția progresului pe care-l merităm, orientați spre UE și lumea occidentală. Ca și tânără cetățeană, pentru mine alegerea este evidentă. N-am încredere într-un om care promite un milion de apartamente la 35.000 de euro și apoi spune că a fost doar o formă de marketing. Cineva care declară că-l admiră pe Trump, este înconjurat de extremiști precum Călin Georgescu și strigă „Te agr*s*z sexual, scroafo” nu este demn de a fi ales președinte. De aceea prefer să votez pentru un candidat cumsecade, competent și care va aduce schimbările sperate de noi. Votez Nicușor Dan. Votez pentru ca România să rămână o țară europeană și să mergem înainte. Iar voi, unde vreți să ne ducem?

Pro-EU candidate Nicușor Dan won the Romanian presidential election on May 18, defeating the far-right, anti-Ukraine George Simion. Dan won Sunday's runoff with 53.6% of the votes, while Simion earned 46.4%, according to Romania's election authority. President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Dan on his victory: "For Ukraine—as a neighbor and friend—it is important to have a reliable partner in Romania. And we are confident that this will indeed be the case. By working together, we can strengthen both our countries and our shared Europe." The result comes as a relief for Ukraine, who faced the loss of a key ally in the event of a Simion victory. Simion, leader of  the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), championed a Euroskeptic platform that included ending military aid for Ukraine. "Ukraine needs us, we don't need Ukraine," Simion said during a televised debate on May 8. Simion is banned from entering both Ukraine and neighboring Molodova due to his anti-Ukrainian stance. Dan, an independent centrist and the current mayor of Bucharest, supports aid to Ukraine, calling it "essential for the security of Romania." Despite exit polls clearly predicting a victory for Dan, Simion declared himself the president of Romania in a post on social media.

Ar trebui să fie limpede şi pt cei mai adormiţi români că George Simion lucrează împreună cu (cel puţin, pt că e posibil să fie complet controlat de) un actor statal (Rusia) care are interesul de a slăbi România.

Rusia a atacat neprovocat una dintre ţările vecine nouă, iar noi de 3 ani o ajutăm în mai multe feluri pe aceasta din urmă să reziste.

Vă mai amintiţi ce a spus Simion în dezbaterea dinainte să aibă criza de decefugemie? A dat a se-nţelege aproape fără perdea că va opri orice ajutor dat Ucrainei. A spus-o şi în alte rânduri mai clar, dar ăla e episodul pe care l-au văzut, cred, cei mai mulţi.

Ruşii n-au putut să-şi pună aliatul pe tron, aşa că trec la planul B, destabilizarea pe cât posibil a României. Prin contestaţii ale alegerilor, fake news, tămbălău pe social media, aţâţare la ură între tabăra Simion şi cea Dan, poate din nou autobuze AUR cu protestatari aduşi de prin ţară, aţâţare la ură etnică, instigare la violenţă etc. Acestea vor avea efect atât direct, cât şi indirect, prin impactul asupra economiei. Câţi investitori vor să vină într-o ţară unde se întâmplă astfel de lucruri?

M-am mirat zilele trecute de ce Simion nu face scandal. Uite că era doar o întârziere.
