GERARD SOUZAY. SO WE DON’T FORGET HIM
GERARD SOUZAY. SO WE DON’T FORGET HIM
Przyslala Basia Jaworski
Tumblr media
The in all respects beautiful baritone Gérard Souzay has made the big mistake to sing on for far too long. His last Philips recordings are unlistenable and with his hair dyed pitch black he looked rather pathetic. A great pity, because if you listen to his earlier recordings, you can only fall in love with him and his voice. Souzay was without a doubt one of the…

" Gerard Souzay
"An adroit accompanist..." --Dallas Times Herald

10 Songs I’m Obsessed With
Tagged by @alightinthelantern Thanks for tagging me! (My first time being tagged haha.) An honor to be tagged by you.
I can actually roughly split my taste in music to two: classical and non-classical. I love classical music, and am in fact learning opera songs now, hence many an opera song also being included in my list. I think I’ll do five classical songs and five other genres.
Here we go. First classical:
1. Debussy: The Girl With The Flaxen Hair
2. Erik Satie: Ogives no. 1
3. R. Hahn: La Barcheta, Venezia (Gerard Souzay)
4. Les Contes D’Hoffmann: Les Oiseaux Dans La Charmille
5. L’heure Exquise (Susan Graham)
Non-classical:
1. Hurts: Wonderful Life
2. Hurts: Affair
3. Disclosure: Willing and Able
4. Burial: Untrue Full Album
5. Arctic Monkeys: Don’t Sit Down Cause I Moved Your Chair
Thanks a lot for tagging me!! I’m absolutely clueless as to who I should tag, so I should just say that if you see this on your dash after I post it and you feel like doing it, you can take it as me tagging you :)
