This leaves Disney XD with only 3 networks worldwide:

The most annoying thing is being a fan of something so niche you don't even get stuff in a random language. Like you know something either so old it's hard to get the complete series even via the high seas in good quality; looking at you The Slayers, Zoids, and Rahxephon, or it's too expensive. Or on the other end no one really watched it; Shinzo and Get Ed.

Obscure Animation Subject #118: Get Ed

I think this just may just be the least talked about Disney cartoon ever. Like I’m not even kidding, at least for something as dull as The Wuzzles could be remembered for being the first real Disney cartoon. But Get Ed? I wouldn’t have known this show’s existence if I didn’t look at the Wikipedia page for all the Disney TVA shows. It ran from 2005 to 2006 with a measly 26 episodes before getting canceled and ending on an unresolved cliffhanger. GREAT!

Get Ed takes place in a future cyber world and about Ed working for Dojo Deliveries, a company that delivers packages. Ed and his courier team must also fight against the evil ruler Simon Bedlam who has taken over most of the futuristic Progressive City. This show is actually a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. It has a lot of data and information tracking which is something I never really see in a cartoon. Ed is actually a Cyber Sleuth while the main villain straight up does data mining. It’s an interesting good vs evil story and it's supported by Simon Bedlam being a great antagonist in general. He takes his time planning ahead, calculating every move, and just doesn’t rush. I mean he already owns most of the city already, he’s just really greedy and wants to take over all of it. He sends out evil foes that are robots, DNA clones, and evil clowns? The bad guys are my favorite thing about this show, the other characters are alright but pretty standard. This is one of the first CGI Disney cartoons and it shows. While it could have been a lot worse, the animation is still dated. But it makes up for it with the storytelling being engaging enough, even if it can be pretty basic.

If it wasn’t for the bad guys being as fun as they are, this series would not have been as good as it is now. It's a simple show but it's executed fairly well, rarely does the show have any true standouts but it still makes for a great watch. Even to the point where I would say this show is quite overlooked and deserved another season.

Someone’s uploading a lot of Get Ed stuff on YouTube, including the unaired pilot and full screen versions of episodes. Give them a look if you’ve never seen the show. Was one of my favorite things growing up.
