GF SEASONS ZINE INTEREST CHECK!

The GF Seasons Zine Interest Check is now officially live! The form will be open for two weeks (from the 23rd Feb to March 8th at 11:59 EST). 

The zine will focus on the Pines family hanging out and enjoying the four seasons of the year together. Do you want to see who would win in a snowball fight between Stan and Ford? What the Pines family would get up to on a rainy spring day? Or perhaps you want to see the Mystery Twins jumping in piles of autumn leaves? Whatever you’re thinking, fill out the form and let us know! 

This zine will be looking for moderators, artists, writers, and merch artists to come together and depict our favourite family having fun! The amount of contributors we accept and whether the zine is digital or physical will be determined after the interest check closes. More information can be found on our Carrd.

Hello, May! You know what that means? It's the Month of May-bel yet again!

#MonthOfMaybel2023

This is a month long celebration of Gravity Falls' most unique and lovable sweater wearing and pig loving girl!

I've hosted May-bel month since 2020 and while I retired from hosting it last year, I figured I'd at least help get the ball rolling again.

For the 2023 May-bel Month, the choice is yours! Draw, write, cosplay or do whatever you want with Mabel how you please.

Draw fanart of Mabel how you wanna, free of any weekly theme. Write about Mabel how you want, free of any specific way of doing so. The freedom is yours this year on how you wanna show Mabel the love and respect she deserves!

You can make fanart, write a story, cosplay, DIY, make an edit, etc. Whatever you choose, be sure to stay SFW, and of course, have fun.

ALSO Be sure to tag your post with #MonthOfMaybel2023 so that others can see it (and optionally, tag me too). You can make as many contributions a week as you please. This is not a contest, it’s all for fun, so do the best you can.

Let’s show Mabel that this fandom is not dead, and still very much cares for her! The month has now begun!

What were your favorite forgotten Gravity Falls theories?

I recently watched this video and was kind of hoping to find my personal favorite forgotten theories, only to discover these were actually forgotten lol. I honestly really loved the Mystery Trio theory and I think everybody has forgotten about it since the plot debunked it so hard, but I still loved the fan-based stories around the theory, it was really cool and I do miss these. 

Grunkle4Grandpa was also a notable forgotten theory that I supported. I did support it solely because I wanted something that would tie the kids and grunkle Stan even more because I loved their bond, and I suppose him being their grandfather would have done just that. My support of this theory was based on my emotions and attachment to the characters, as rationally I never thought it actually made sense.

Panfandom Hanukkah Bingo

WHAT: A fanworks bingo celebrating Jewish (and Jew-ish) characters across any and all fandoms. Write fanfiction and/or create graphics (moodboards, edits, vids, whatever you like) to fill prompts on this overall bingo card. During the 8 nights of Hanukkah, submit your fills to the AO3 collection and/or post them on Tumblr to be reblogged and added to the Bingo Masterpost.

WHY: Jewish characters and Jewish fans are often overlooked or erased during the Winter Holiday Season in favor of "Secret Santa" exchanges, Christmas-themed fics, and the idea that ~Hanukkah is Jewish Christmas~ (which spoiler for all fics in this bingo: it's not). This panfandom Bingo challenge is to celebrate Hanukkah on its own terms and give Jewish characters and fans a place to breathe. :)

I need help finding a fic for tgf I read it on a whim a while back and mid reading I ended up practicing recording myself reading as a podfic for it as I finished reading thru for the first time obviously I messed up a lot and it was fine fun but the fic is sooooo good and I always remember it and if anyone knows someone who’s good at finding a fic lmk I tried to for a few hrs but maybe I’m doing things wrong.
