#tbt It was 15 years ago this month August of 2007 that I had the pleasure to go into the then Hudson Opera House (now @hudsonhallny ) to photograph the fading and weathering opera/playhouse + political wheat pasted posters on the walls of the uppermost part of the backstage. While there I also photographed a series of the panels of peeling paint. (The complete series is too vast to put online & I hope to print and exhibit it) Initially, it was for preservation purposes. #tbt my first time scanning old negs from the late 80’s early 90’s. (fuji slide film cross-processed to negatives 🎞 ) it’s a self portrait in the room i was staying in with friends in fire island. It was my first time there. i had set my self timer for this but had also fallen into a k-hole (also my first time) it’s all i can say about it except at the time i hated this foto, my skinny body (most men were huge & built those days, skinny boys weren’t a thing then) now i love it & wished i did then. still learning how to love what i am now all these years later. working still on trying to love what i see today & who i am. #tbt these are from springtime a year ago. grateful to have had & incredible photo session with friend & designer @marine_penvern with our models/incredibly talented friends and new ones @ellaloudon & @rgnld.healr Marine chose & found this incredible location (that i had passed a million times but missed) It was my one shoot before covid came into full effect. I miss and look forward to photographing again..shooting fashion & art. These were highlights of that day.
