Someone in my inbox (they asked not to tag them) asked me about the repost I made regarding Moumita case so I want to tell you all about it, both because I want more people aware of this and because this has got a lot of rage in me which I want to let out.

My dear followers of you have just some time to read this post and do as least as pray for the poor soul of Moumita and several others I'll talk about in this post after reading this I'll really appreciate. There are heavy mentions of brutal rape and assault cases so if that is too triggering for you refrain from reading.

So this thing happened in India (where I live) on 9th August. Yes that recent. Dr Moumita Debnath was a doctor in Kolkata at RG kar medical College which as far as my knowledge is is a Government College and hospital. To get into this college students need to pass neet exams which one of the toughest exams in the world. She was a doctor in practice. A few interns were running a sex and drug racket INSIDE the hospital. Moumita got to know about this and threatened to expose on social media and tell the authorities. She was unaware that the said authorities was also involved in the racket. She was troubled for the next few days including her new car being vandalized and making her work 36 hour shifts. One night as she was in the hospital on a shift ON DUTY as a DOCTOR, she was caught, held and raped brutally. I won't get into too much details because it is very disturbing and graphic but one of the offenders was a GIRL who helped the men by tying up Moumita. Moumita was raped and beaten up by over 10 people and in the end AFTER she was dead her corpse was assaulted again by a scapegoat who is later sent to jail (keyword, as a scapegoat).

Sadly the story didn't end there. Moumitas parents weren't allowed to see her body for 3hours after arriving at scene. The cause of her death was told suicide. The place where the incident happens was broken down under the name of renovation. The police and government were involved in the tempering of evidence since the interns were from very influential backgrounds. People began peaceful protests and went for candle march to demand justice for Moumita and her soul.

The government's replies? The CHIEF MINISTER of West bengal who's herself a WOMAN states that Moumita was a "characterless" woman , she had a body which would tempt boys , boys can make mistakes so it's okay (??????) , she had affairs and was pregnant (idek why this is related true or not) and that people should not protest and March and should instead just mourn silently.

Shame on her for saying this as a woman herself.

During this candle march one of the protesters (female) was brutally raped, beaten and killed for the sole reason that she was part of the rape.

Sadly this is not the only thing that is happening in India right now.

And these are only the cases which came forward in news in the past few days just in the span of a week or two.

Men aren't blamed. Women are the ones questioned. Women's character's were judged. Women are the ones told to protect themselves. Where is a woman safe? When is a woman safe? How is a woman safe?

She is still unsafe wearing a doctor's coat, a diaper, a saree, a burkha, anything. She is unsafe in her home, in a hospital, in her school, in public, in her workplace, at night, in morning. No matter how much she fights back she is still unsafe.

And she is still questioned.

It's heinous. Not just the crime but how the public and government reacts to this. And these are just the crime that are known. Hundreds and thousands and who knows how many rapecase files are just buried. Many more than those are never reported. Marital rapes and date rapes aren't even considered criminal.

On 15th august, it was India's 78th independence day. But what are we, the women, really independent from? 78 years and women still don't have half the security and rights as they deserve. Yes, women are now "allowed" to work and study. But they are still getting assaulted at workplaces and schools, no matter how noble the profession or how you g the student.

And Today itself I get a message from the place where I live - a popular gated community which prides itself for 24/7 security that a schoolgirl (12-13 yo) who was in her school uniform was followed by a creepy looking man outside her home and catcalled her (I am not sure if physical harassment took place). Yes, it was dark but the girl was probably coming from a tuition or class. You know what our community head said? "Due to this incident we advice women and children from roaming alone on the street after dark." Something snapped in me and I just wanted to tell this gentleman how about we stop the boys from stepping foot outside after dark instead?

Now as I come to an end of my rage, I just want to tell everyone that this post is not to downgrade my country. I do not want people to think all indian men are harmful or anything like that. Men like that are everywhere. Do not label our country slurs without knowing all of it.

I do not expect you to do anything about this. If possible, pray for these poor souls and let's hope for our government to take some, any serious action regarding this issue.

You don’t have to be a fan of sports to know that women’s sports doesn’t receive as much respect and admiration as men’s sports. However, a step in the right direction started happening during the 2023 Women’s NCAA Basketball tournament. It starts with Caitlin Clark, the 6foot guard from Iowa, who is on the court making threes all the way from Mumbai. Her high velocity play via her vicious 3 pointer started putting eyes on the women’s tourney.

Many people in media started giving the public heads up that it was time to start tuning into the women’s tourney because they’re turning up. So when it time to get to the finals the spotlight grows bigger as people created a “Bird vs Magic” scenario with the predominately white team Iowa, facing off against the predominately black team the LSU Tigers. The finals then gave birth to the beginning of new era fueled by the passionate and beautiful forward, Angel Reese and the multi-talented Flau’Jae Johnson.

The finals show off turned out to be the biggest college sports event of the year even outperforming the men’s tournament. The 2023 viewership brought in a whopping 9.9 million viewers. With LSU bringing home the trophy along with some controversy a star was birthed and we are witnessing someone who is using their new found fame to its full advantage.

Angel Reese is a breathe of fresh air for women sports because she maintains her femininity while being an actual great player.

Making her extremely marketable, combined with the power of youth, she’s an unstoppable force as long as she keeps up an elite level of play. She currently has one of the highest NIL deal of any college athlete which as of today is at $1.3 million and increasing. Her partner in crime, Flau’Jae is also taking advantage of her platform by still pursuing her passion of music and going viral with freestyles every chance she get.

The pair even made their way to legendary morning show The Breakfast Club, where Reese reveals her achievement has even caught the attention of the likes of Drizzy and Future, both congratulating her on her dominance.

I really like the way their moving because the bigger they get the bigger women’s sports and opportunities get. Next LSU games are probably going to look like LA games and if they continue to rise to the occasion, which is elite play winning chips every year is not required, they can make WNBA games a star studded event as well.

These girls are making all the right moves and its a joy to see women players thrive in their space.

Update: by the time I actually wrote this article, Latto & Cardi B released a video “Put it on da Floor Again” featuring a cameo from Angel Reese further cementing her star power.

The best part of this, the young ladies are handling their stardom well by staying in the gym and maintaing a perfect balance between hoops and socializing. They both even got selected to participate for USA women’s team, after not getting selected previous years which shows the hard work never stopped. In fact its just getting started and the ladies are showing us how they will continue to move different and take women basketball to new spaces.

Heya my fellow Bengali mjht fan. I was rewatching the show for the hundredth time and had a few questions

1-why Gunjan was so against Samrat lung to her but helped Nupur lie to Mayank? Is that not hypocrisy?

2-Why Diya and Benji were given a open ended ending? Is that cz they wanted to keep it realistic and show not all college couples end up together?

3-Why was babuji so harsh on Nupur Mayank? He was always shown as the more understanding chilld one while Buinis the uptight strict one. But after the marriage even Bui wanted Nupur and mayank to be accepted and begged to their father ki yelog kaha jayege plz man jao.

4-Who falling in love track was handled best as per you opinion? I feel Mayank and Samrat's was handled best,while Gunjan and Nupur's being kind of rushed.

5-What was the point of Adhiraj and Suhani? They came and left within few episodes. Their love story was so rushed and they ven got engaged so quicklym and we never ever hear fromSamrat's sister Suhani while he's going through so much troubles after the leap.

Rewatching MJHT just gives me all the fuzzy feels *dance*

But yes, let's get to answering all the questions :)

1 ) Because Nupur is her sister.

You always bend rules, and are a little hypocritical for your own family. And there's a difference between lying and being lied to. Gunjan is always uneasy when she has to partake in a lie or assist any of her near or dear one in lying, but she has zero tolerance when she's being lied to. She even snaps at Nupur when she learns that Nupur lied to Gunjan to take her audio for the talent contest.

2) Yes! Not all college couples end up together!

College is a bubble, real life is not. You meet so many more people - your priorities shape your personality and there's so many future goals and ideologies that affect your life post college. Be it finance, religion, career, children, responsibilities - so many things can make/break a relationship. So, in fact, their ending is the most realistic one. An ex-couple meet again at a mutual friend's wedding. There are sparks, but that's their own story to have.

3) Oh Babuji was COMPLETELY RIGHT. Oh Babuji was incredibly understanding. Imagine, he had told his children to keep his name, his honor, and continue the upbringing he had given as a single parent. His kids are his pride and he must have faced a lot being a single dad. He loves and trusts his kid intensely. At no point was he ever the father to whom Nupur could not communicate that she would like to marry someone else.

And coming from the small town, Shashi must have faced a lot of criticism for sending his kids outside to Mumbai. They would blame him for ruining his kids cause they wouldn't go and study there, rather they'd begin lying, have an affair, etc.

And what happens? Exactly that.

Yes, Nupur does become a brilliant student thanks to Mayank, but how does Shashi even learn about Mayank? That Nupur duped a family friend's son with a false identity, have him date another girl altogether, because she was have an affair with another boy.

That's the worst situation possible. And even then, when Nupur cries to him how great Mayank is, Shashi is ready to put aside his own hurt and his sister's multiple warnings about the situation and meet Mayank.

However, luck is truly against them because he oversees Mayank convincing Nupur to run away with him.

Just why wouldn't he dislike Mayank and Nupur's relationship?

And Shashi isn't really conservation because when he sees how much Samrat cares for Gunjan, he instantly approves of them being a pair - to the point that he's surprised when Gunjan is resistant to that (because she's in a wheelchair).

4) Ok, my favorite falling in love goes to Mayank-Nupur. I loved the contrast of how the practical Mayank does start feeling a lot of filmy things. It was really well balanced in him. And Nupur was so caught in the fancy of it that she didn't know what to do when she actually fell in love? And their confession was gorgeous as well. Samrat's falling in love was STUNNING, Gunjan's was cute - but neither's appealed to me when it came to confession. I felt they dragged it too much. Like Gunjan, I get they were going once bitten twice shy but, for God's sake, her reciprocity in everything just died with the confession and omg that one day that took a whole WEEK with just them doing ping pong over saying emotions? I had a FAB time editing most of it out cause the scenes were repetitive AS HELL.

Falling in love - Gunjan's was the cutest and best (like low-key Valentine's was perfect, you SAW her falling).

Realizing love - Samrat's was best (I get goosebumps with the whole Khabar Nahi and Khuda Jaane moment).

The whole love track - Mayank Nupur (from resistance to confession, perfect)

Staying in love - Mayank Nupur (their in-couple dynamics was the best)

5) To be honest, I kinda did like them, lol. I know it's an unpopular opinion! But it got the plot forward for me.

I've seen a lot of random people in many shows come in and I think Adhiraj Suhani are the only entries in a show that didn't hurt a show as badly as other characters do (cough Bubbly in IPK cough Komal in Begusarai cough Sheetal Aarav in IPK cough Jyoti Prakash Preeti in CJL)

I found it very interesting on how they tied MayUr and SaJan together with this one pair. Like bringing Bablu back? Great idea! I do find it very odd that they're never mentioned again, not even in words. I do think they suffered issues with allotting screen time to which couple on screen. And I think they were spot on with MayUr and I get where they were trying to go with SuRaj, but they started writing SaJan off character.

Like I hated how dismissive Gunjan was of Samrat's trauma. She has NO idea of his past, she was really let off the hook very easily for a grave error. She is in no position to dictate that Samrat should reconcile with his mother/sister. There was also a lot of unnecessary scenes and comedy as well...

I do like them as a track.

And they also knew how to keep SuRaj different from the rest of the pairs. These are the love at first sight type of people. They both think they're the heroes. They both fall in love hard. They're both ready to instantly marry. They're both dramatic. They're just the same person in many ways. Getting to know each other though? That's something that takes time with them.

Which isn't the case for MayUr and SaJan.

However, this point is also the beginning of writing Gunjan off key. Like I start to dislike Gunjan from hereon and I don't quite recover my initial love for her. It's also a place where Samrat and Gunjan's relationship start getting very very imbalanced. He keeps viewing her as perfect and she as 'sigh, Samrat always needs help' mode.

And for how much time SuRaj existed, I'd easily write Samrat having lived in London those three years with his family and only returning to Excel upon his mum's wish because she realized that even in London with his family next to him, Samrat was getting wasted away.

And I'd easily keep SuRaj in mention through a dialogue or two - because they expand Samrat's universe in a sense.

I just don't think Adhiraj and Suhani were as well executed as they could be. They were introduced brilliantly. And I don't think they were a problem to me as much as SaJan became an issue. I LOVED Samrat. I loved the idea of him just not being the only cool person out there cause dude that's what real life looks like.

Gunjan, my love and soul... was a little too unrecognizable. I don't even know why she loved Suhani so much? I'd have a hard time bonding with someone with whom my partner has trauma with!

A/N - Sorry for not posting in ages, work and personal life got in the way but here is the next installment.

It is set in Mumbai India where Ari is a professor at a university meets a person of colour - Marathi girl at the train station. There will be other Chris Evans characters as professors and Henry Cavill   characters as professors

Ari arrived at the college the next day with a spring in his step. He was whistling a Bollywood song as he walked into the staff room. August and Sy saw him first wondering what got Ari so overjoyed. 

"Hey dude, I see you're feeling better. Andrew told us you were sick yesterday," Sy said, patting Ari on the back. 

"I had food poisoning yesterday, a much needed rest and I am back to normal," Ari said walking over to the coffee machine to make himself an espresso. 

"That sounds rough man," Steve says, shaking Ari's hand and offering him a spoon for his coffee. Jenson walked over, headphones on, singing a song loudly making the teachers laugh. He didn't look where he was going, and bumped into Ari, coffee spilling onto Ari's shirt. 

"Oh crap, sorry man," Jensen said, taking his headphones off. Ari cursed, walking to the locker, where he kept a spare shirt. He discarded his shirt, the others gasping as they saw Ari's back covered in hickies and scratches. 

Everyone cheered, whistling, going towards Ari and congratulating him for getting with an Indian girl. 

"Dude, I see why you needed yesterday off," August said, winking at Ari. Ari blushed, looking down to see bruises, hickies and scratches all over him. He felt shy, but also proud of what they got up to yesterday. 

"Shhh," Ari said, slipping on the clean shirt, writing a note to get the other shirt dry cleaned. 

"Ari got laid," Frank and Colin sang, making Ari blush. 

"Guys stop it, we are not school kids. We are adults," Ari said, so happy to see Andy coming over. They hugged one another as the other professors were leaving to go teach. Ari and Andy had another free lesson so they went down to the canteen to grab some food and talk. 

“Thanks for covering for me man, I appreciate it,” Ari said, grabbing some paratha and chai to eat for breakfast while Andy just got a strong coffee to drink. 

“You’re welcome, was everything ok,” Andy said, hiding his yawn. 

“Yes,” Ari said blushing, making Andy quirk an eyebrow at him. 

“What happened,” Andy said, curious as to what was going on while they sat down to eat. 

“We had some fun that’s all,” Ari said smirking, making Andy chuckle inbetween yawns. 

“Oh ho Romeo,” he said, yawning once again. 

“Everything ok with you buddy,” Ari asked, seeing Andy rub his eyes, yawning out loud.

*Flashback* 

Y/N had arrived home from work earlier than normal, she made dinner, lit some candles and went to get ready in a nice olive green dress showing off all her curves. Andy arrived home 20 minutes later, smiling to see his wife home before him for one. She walked up to him, taking his jacket off and putting it and his bag on the table. Y/N leaned up on her tiptoes, brushing her fingers through his luscious locks, their nose touching every so slightly before she slowly leaned in to kiss his lips.

The kiss got deeper, her fingers raked into his hair, his arms wrapped around her body. Moans escaped the room, the room getting warm from their bodies. Y/N leaned away from the kiss, biting her lip just staring at Andy before moving closer as she started to unbutton his shirt and take it off him. 

“I love you,” she said, kissing his chest while fumbling with the buckle belt trying to open it. She finally got it open and opened the trousers to push down. Y/N stopped, moving away to slip the dress off and throw it on the floor before moving closer to Andy and kissing him once again. 

“Let's make a baby, I am ready,” she whispered letting the dick enter her pussy, she grinded on him, feeling the friction between the two. Andy a few seconds later, yawned, stopping her. 

“Stop for a second honey, I’m tired,” he said, slowly slipping out of her.

“I know that Y/N, but I am not a machine. We will try for a baby on the weekend when we both relaxed,” he said looking at her, getting more angry and throwing a glass his way. 

“So now it’s the weekend. Andrew, do you even want a baby with me,” she said, falling onto the floor crying into her hands. Andy sighed, moving towards her. He sat down next to her and wrapped his arms around her body, letting her cry it out in his chest. In a few minutes the crying stopped and Andy carried her bridal style upstairs, changing into pajamas and tucking her into bed. He kissed her head, shutting the door behind and walking down to eat and watch some tv. 

*End flashback* 

Andy sighed, yawning as he looked at Ari not sure how to tell him. He took few gulps of his coffee before speaking, 

“Y/N and I have been trying for a baby for the last 6 months. It has been difficult for us, with all the trying and following her schedule it hasn’t worked,” he said, feeling a pit in his stomach. 

“I am sorry pal, is there anything you can do,” Ari asked looking at Andy putting his hands through his hair, feeling frustrated. 

“We have seen a few doctors, taken some tests and followed everything they said. Nothing works and yesterday we had a fight where I couldn't even be in the same room as her so I slept on the couch,” Andy said, sighing, rubbing his eyes downing the last part of his coffee. 

“Sorry man, that sounds rough. Is there anything I can do to help?” Ari said, looking at Andy yawning, moving his head from side to side. 

“Thanks for listening, I’m not sure there is anything else anyone can do” Andy said, rubbing the creak of his neck as it was stiff from sleeping on the couch. 

“Andy, look I don’t know if this will help but my best friend back home is a top obstetrician. I can get in contact with him and ask to speak to you both. You don't have to say yes right away, but think it over with Y/N," Ari said, hearing the bell ring, time for his first class of the day. 

“Thank you Ari, let me talk it through with Y/N and then get back to you,” Andy said, hugging Ari as they both got up, putting their stuff in the bins before heading to their classes.

A couple was shown arguing with eachother and we could hear yelling and it was increasing with each second

Bela compared herself to her and found that Bani is above her in each category and she will be best for Mahri though she didn't let this affect her friendship with Mahir and was as close as before

But someone was not happy with their bonding, She wanted them to be separate, she tried to create misunderstanding between them but nothing worked

Few days later, Bela found Mahir drunk at her doorstep

She made him sit inside and was about to go when Mahir held her hand and made her turn towards him and hugged her, resting his head on her chest

He was crying, and murmuring things like, “Why she did that?” “Wasn't I enough for her?” “She wanted to separate you from me, separate me from my albela”

Bela was shocked but got to know that Bani cheated on him and she was the one who tried to create misunderstanding between them

Bela called Darsh and Yuvi and asked them to take him home carefully

She remembered why they were arguing

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry ceremonially inaugurates PLASTINDIA 2026

: Mumbai, August 23, 2024

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, who is on a two-day tour to Mumbai, continued the review of various developmental projects and participated in a number of functions in the city today.

During a press conference in the day, Shri Goyal informed media persons that he undertook a discussion with representatives of the Government, Industry and Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in pursuance of creating a Centre of Excellence and Skill Development over a project area of 1 lakh sq feet in Borivli, Mumbai. It was conveyed that BMC has agreed to create a project over an area which will involve 50,000 sq feet for a training centre and 20,000 sq ft for a hostel. This Centre of Excellence and Skill Development is envisaged to be ready within 6-8 months.

The Union Minister for Commerce and Industry further stated that 10,000 youth will receive skill development training across various sectors at this Centre of Excellence in the coming three years. Young boys and girls from various parts of Maharashtra can therefore receive gainful skill development training at this residential Training Centre. In the coming years, this Centre can then become an exemplary private public partnership venture in the country, he said. Shri Goyal added that CII' s team is already running various skill development centres.

The Minister interacted with important stakeholders in the sector such as Union Minister of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, who was in Mumbai today, Minister of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, other local representatives along with NASSCOM's IT Skills and Cyber Security experts and Dr. A Sakthivel, Chairman , Apparel Made-ups and Home Furnishing, Sector Skill Council.

Shri Goyal started the second day of his tour with a visit to Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), where he held discussions with general public as well as Government Officials. Shri Goyal also undertook a tree plantation along with students at Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali.

Later Shri Piyush Goyal also inaugurated a Mural dedicated to Adv. Balasaheb Apte at Adv. Balasaheb Apte Law College in Dadar.

Further, the Union Minister for Commerce and Industry graced the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's 38th Regional Conference of Western India Regional Council. Addressing the ICAI members on "Viksit Bharat@ 2047 - The Road Map," he urged them to become ambassadors of Viksit Bharat, master modern technologies and provide suggestions to simplify laws.

In the last function of the day, Shri Goyal ceremonially inaugurated PLASTINDIA 2026, which is scheduled to take place from 5-10 February, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event will showcase the latest innovations and advancements in the plastics industry. The six-day show will be dedicated to the entire global Plastics value chain and create a meeting place for professionals across various sectors who are seeking advanced products and solutions and looking for meaningful business connections. The dignitaries present on the occasion included Shri Ravish Kamath, President PLASTINDIA FOUNDATION; Shri Alok Tibrewala, Chairman NEC, PLASTINDIA 2026 and the captains of plastic industry were present amongst the dignitaries.
