Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place lipstick in "Stay Pink"
Description: Estee Lauder's website describes this as a 12-hour lasting lipstick that is "all-day silky, all-day comfortable, and all-day gorgeous."  It also promises to deliver "rich, stay-in-place color" that is "creamy and smooth, with a satin shine."
I absolutely am in love with this lipstick.  I wouldn't say that it lasts 12 hours (then again, what lipstick can actually do that without being gross?). But it does last for 6 hours and is very opaque even on my pigmented lips.  Even after eating, it leaves a nice tint on my lips. As the description mentions, it does have a satin finish so it's not drying at all.  I'm very impressed with this, considering the fact that most long-lasting lipsticks dry out my lips terribly.
The shade "stay pink" is a vivid warm pink that would look great on neutral to warm skin tones. I really like how this looks with neutral eyeshadow and black liner.  I think it would especially suit those with medium to tan skin tones.
At $23USD a pop, this lipstick is definitely worth the money and is a lot better in quality than other high-end lipsticks.  I will probably purchase more shades.

Essie's "Power Clutch" review
First, I apologize for my sloppy nail application.  I was skyping while I was painting my nails and I paid more attention to my conversation than to my nails.  (But that's how it should be, right? Friends first, always! ^_^)
Description: "Power Clutch" is a gorgeous color for this fall and winter. It's a lovely mix of deep green and cool gray tones and it has a nice creme finish.  I wouldn't say that this is a unique nail color since I've seen swatches from other brands that looked similar to this.  But nonetheless, "Power Clutch" is sophisticated and pretty. Application is pretty decent.  The color was opaque in 2 coats.  Also, just be warned that the color on the nails may appear darker than the color in the bottle depending on lighting.
Rating: A- (I'm becoming more and more impressed with Essie, considering that I haven't had the greatest experiences with her older nail lacquers.)

The clean and polished look is definitely in this Fall/Winter.  Zara seems to be doing an excellent job illustrating this trend in their handbags and accessories.
Zara's "Plaited Shopper," $159. (Photo taken from Zara's official website)
Totally. Want. This.
By the way, I just purchased three sweaters from Hautelook. Hopefully they'll come before the snow does!

Review: Kiehl's Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+
Description: Lightweight, non-sticky, and non-drying, this sunscreen is one of the best I've tried.  It wears extremely well underneath makeup, leaves no white or oily residue, and--most importantly--provides enough protection.  (This is important to me since I walk to classes under the sun every day.) It also leaves my skin smooth and soft and suffices as a primer.  My combination skin is very happy with this! ^_^
(Kiehl's website description: Prevents up to 90% of skin aging, including lines and wrinkles, uneven texture and tone, breakdown of collagen and elastin, brown spots. Oil-free, ultra-lightweight texture delivers a synergistic UV filtering system combining patented photo-stabilized technology with long-lasting broad-spectrum protection to deliver outstanding efficacy against UVA & UVB rays on the skin’s surface.)
Rating: A+
Note: Kiehl's sales associates are usually very helpful in providing great customer service.  So if you're unsure if you want to spend $34 for a 1.7 fl oz. bottle, you can go to your nearest Kiehl's counter and ask for a sample!

NARUKO Rose and Snow Fungus Aqua Cubic Complex Review
Description: This serum is great for those who need added moisturization.  It comes in a purple glass bottle and the product itself is a thick white liquid that absorbs quickly into my skin.  I apply this in the day time after toner and before my day moisturizer.  I do need this, especially since I work in a dry office environment with the AC on full blast.  My skin is becoming drier as the days get colder and this does such a great job keeping my face soft and flake-free.  I also noticed that my face makeup (tinted moisturizer and even foundation) stays on better and does not separate when I use this product. The great thing about this is that while it does moisturize my skin, it does not make it oily at all. Thumbs up from me!
This product is a little difficult to get a hold of, but you can get this at iMomoko.com

Essie's "In Stitches"
Description: A creamy, muted rosy-red that would be great for fall and winter.  This is appropriate for work, a lunch out with the gals, a first date--pretty much any occassion.  Unlike most Essie varnishes, In Stitches is highly pigmented, true to the color in the bottle, and only requires 1-2 coats to get this beautiful shade. There are no shimmers, but it does have a shiny finish.
Rating: A+ (Probably my favorite Essie shade)
