My first Tailwind Project⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
I thought Tailwind would be difficult and all but it's really just CSS. It gets a lot of hate sometimes but I think it's pretty cool and concise, though the large number of classes can get messy..But it's worth it!
Thanks to @izicodes and @lazar-codes I FINALLY got my Gitpages running so here's the link to the project.
I wanted to say one more thing...I've forgotten....ughhh (•-• )>
Aha, the project is a beginner challenge from frontmentor.io. Terrific website providing frontend projects for we who suck at design.

Hosting a website (or www hosting magics)
Just a short and somewhat random post to rant about setting up custom domains (curse you A vs CNAME!!!!! rant over) and to share how I did it so y’all can save some time.
What this means for Voiceless?
Our website(link) is live!!!
It is a github project page hosted at ‘https://bryantk.github.io/Voiceless/’ but y’all see it as www.voicelessjrpg.com (www is optional).
What YOU need:
Your Website
github account
A domain (yourGame.com)
The magic
Website (you made)
You have to figure out how it should look and how to make it, so assuming you already have one and it is mostly static (no need for a database backend... or at least not a traditional one) and tame (not 1 million images, all gifs, or other things that would make you need a legit server and $$$) - you can use github.com to host your page!
Domain
Buy a domain - I use google domains (12$ a year) - we will call ours ‘GGgame.com’. Follow Github’s instructions to set up forwarding... or - Go the the DNS settings and set the ‘A’ record to ‘192.30.252.153′, enter, then click the ‘+’ to add ‘192.30.252.154′ as well. Then add a ‘CNAME’ entry of name ‘www’ that points to the data of ‘YOUR_GIT_USER_NAME.github.io.’
NOTE - we will be using a github project to host the website, but we still use the USERNAME.github.io. target. (this took me 2 days to figure out and inspired this blog post)
Github
Make an account at github
Make a new repository (we will call ours ‘GitGame’)
Go to settings, scroll to “GitHub Pages”
Set your source as master (we are lazy)
choose a random theme so git can setup all the stuff.
Set your ‘Custom domain’ to your purchased domain (’GGgame.com’ for this example)
Delete the stuff Git made for your theme that we are not using (unless you are) except for the CNAME file
Dump your website (the thing with the index.html) into the repo.
Verify that you have a ‘CNAME’ file (make one if not) and in it put two lines (which will help github to redirect your user level page to this project page):
your_domain.com (GGgame.com)
www.your_domain.com (www.GGgame.com)
Done
Enjoy the website for 12$ a year (I dare you to find cheaper with a custom URL... and if you do, let me know how you did it.. legally of course).

The beginning of implementation
I have set up the webpage on gitpages where the summarisation tool will live.
The link to the code is:
https://github.com/Abanour/Abanour.github.io
The link to the actual website is:
https://abanour.github.io
The final year project is under “Final Year Project”
As the project stands, the first objective has been completed where the user is able to upload a file and the website is able to read from the file and load the content into the text area provided. For now, it can only take text and not images or any other media but text.
If any other media is included in the file then the textarea gets filled with jargon and symbols because it cannot read the image. I will have to look into that whilst working on the next objective which is to setup and area where the code will be displayed when the summarisation tool finishes with the summarisation process.

So I’ve recently taken a few web development courses. I’ve already started helping a friend get a domain with the plan to build him a site. I’m also trying to think of how I’m going to want to be able to build my own sites/apps in the near future for a portfolio but I want to have some WordPress theme capabilities too where I can plug in purchased themes, play with them how I want and then publish.
Is there any hosting service out there that’s relatively cheap (~$10/mo) that will let me publish custom sites, WordPress sites and without a limit on the # published with a straight-forward process? I’ve looked at things like Digital Ocean and GitPages but it seems like there’s a lot of backend work, even after it’s published, that I’m not familiar with at all.

setting up a custom domain on gitpages/google domains
from http://www.curtismlarson.com/blog/2015/04/12/github-pages-google-domains/
1) on github, either create a CNAME file in the project root directory with the custom domain as the first line, or in settings, type the custom domain in the custom domain box (creates CNAME for you).
if you want to add a www alias, it’s faster to create the CNAME with the two lines (with www and without www), the first one has priority.
2) on google domains DNS tab:
add two “@” type A records to:
192.30.252.153 (click the +)
192.30.252.154
add one “www” CNAME record that points to USERNAME.github.io.
Note: If you want to point to a particular project page, you still direct the CNAME to your main username site. the CNAME file in the project page tells gitpages which one to serve.

Thank you soooo much 💕
Yuppp, I've learnt a bit of Git. Really the bare minimum. And I have a few repos on GitHub. But I'm not so comfy with it yet. I tried running this site on GitPages and for some reason it didn't work out. I was too tired to figure out why..... maybe later😂
My first React project wooohooooo!!!
Well technically it's not an original project. It's our first solo project in the React course. But I made it a lil' different.
I'm still very proud anywaysss yupeee!!!
______________
Time Management
I find that the Pomorodo technique works very well for me. I usually forget to take breaks when I work and end up getting way more exhausted than necessary. So having a Pomorodo app on my phone helps remind me to. And it makes me feel very rewarded when I'm able to concentrate fully during the 25 mins, without getting distracted . I personally find I prefer to have three 25 minute blocks followed by the 15 minute break, instead of the usual four.

Hello, I have a React application called MyReads on GitHub. I originally tried deploying the application on GitPages, but that just returned a blank HTML. This might be because GitPages isn’t smart enough to recognize my application’s BrowserRouter.
So now I am learning Heroku to deploy it. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Created an app on Heroku called “neocyte-myreads”
Connected neocyte-myreads with the GitHub repo
Enabled automatic deploys from the master branch
Added a proc file
Unfortunately, https://neocyte-myreads.herokuapp.com/ is giving me an application error. How can I fix this?
