Season four-friggin-teen!

Please excuse me for being late to start Good Mythical Morning season 14 with what hopefully is the first of many commentary post on the episodes. Due to an unnecessary diy accident to my dominant hand yesterday, I'll be using only nine of my fingers for a few days - and because my diy project involved removing my bathroom sink for a luxurious diy vanity, my home currently has no running water nor sink. I'm staying at my parents' house until I'm able to proceed with the installation of the new vanity - and things rarely go as planned in this house.

I made, once again, the mistake of watching GMM while hungry. It didn't help that my pizza was on it's way, when I saw the first plate of pancake nachos. The plate looked so tasty, and even induced an earnest comment from Rhett of wanting to kiss Josh - and this is only the first episode of the season!

All of the nacho plates were made with such pro chef touches, but the first one made me salivate, and even the ramen nachos looked delicious. I'm not sure about the Long Island nachos, though - with my usual reaction to alcohol, I would definately feel the buzz after one bite. But I almost want Rhett and Link to have an aperitif before every eating episode from now on - and just wait for the freudian fry daddy fried gum slips to come, while swallowing xylitol gum.

Since one of the happiest moments of my summer sas getting to pat farm animals, including a little piggy, I would have preferred a live pig on this episode, but at least we got to open the season with some barf-bucket action. I did draw my piggy on the meme at the end of the post, though.

This was a great episode to start the new season. The guys seemed happy, playful and well-rested, and seeing them giggle on a new episode was just what I ordered. Also getting sidetracked with the blue corn / purple carrot convo inn More, and the memories of their college years were welcome. I feel that this is going to be an awesome season, and I am absolutely thrilled to get back to my daily routine again.

P.S. I'm positively surprised to see some changes in the Wheel of Mythicality. Roast your cat was entertaining, and I saw at least Elevator pitch - whatever that is - and Sing your username, and my favourite wheel endings from the previous season are included. I feel that the wheel is slowly turning back to being more improvisation and less something else.

But now I'm ending this post, written with one finger instead of the usual ten. I still need to catch up with Earbiscuits, but at least I get this post out on a Monday (my time).

Was watching GMM after hockey game ended. Before I did, I watched some YouTuber make nachos.

He put cauliflower on them and pickled onions. I love pickled onions. Decided to try making them myself based on what he did.

Slice the onions finely. Drizzle seasoned rice vinegar over them. Enough to coat. He sprinkled/pinched some kind of natural salt over top. I used pink salt.

They're really good. I used a pearl onion, part of a white onion, and a shallot. He used red onion. Guess you can use whichever kind you like. He also put sliced radish in with his.

I think YouTubers typically have not been super successful outside of Youtube due to the two worlds not mixing well. But I think Rhett and Link would have a pretty good chance of making something work since Bleak Creek isn't anything to do with their Youtube personalities or gmm. I mean, yes, that's where they're known from, but I think they want to do scripted things that don't require you to watch them on YouTube to follow it, which will help with success in the long run.

You’re not wrong, but they did start in “traditional” media (Commercial Kings).

I think, as unappealing as this might seem, they’d be more successful in movies or TV if they did stuff not based on their lives. That way new watchers woudln’t necessarily come in with preconconceived notions about it - like: “aren’t these the dudes who eat animal balls and turn themselves into nachos?”

They’re creative enough to not rely solely on their (uniquely amazing) friendship to sell ideas for shows.

How did it feel outside today? I don’t know. I haven’t stepped outside and don’t have plans to until later in the afternoon when I’ll have to take the dogs out. I’m not sweating at the moment so I’m guessing it’s just a little cold, but I won’t be surprised if it’ll turn humid later on in the day.

Do you like the color of your eyes? I’m not complaining; brown’s not too bad but it’s also not like I had the choice to pick what color it would be.

When you watch T.V. what are you usually watching? I only ever watch the evening news on actual TVs anymore. On my laptop, I tune in to Netflix only occasionally so I don’t have any usual programs on there.

Can you open up to others easily? No, unless they ask the right questions or unless I’m with someone I’m close to. But generally, I’m not comfortable with the idea of being in the spotlight and people listening to me open up.

Are you one of those girls who already have baby names picked out? Hahaha, yeah. It could always change by the time I actually have a kid though. I just have the current ones picked out because I think they sound beautiful.

Elaborate about the drunkest you've ever been? No thanks. The only crazy detail I’m giving out from it is that I nearly fell asleep in a pool, but otherwise I regret the person I was that night looooool.

Is there anything that you think is just simply beautiful? I always feel my calmest with the sea.

Is there a friend of the opposite sex you can confide in? No. Not that I feel comfortable confiding in guys anyway. I don’t have close friends that are male.

How did you spend yesterday afternoon? Took a nap, had GMM keep me company, tried not to cry, ate Oreos.

Are any of your siblings taller than you? They both are, haha. I’m the smallest member of the family and I’m the eldest child :(

Do you think anyone hates you? It’s always possible. I wouldn’t know for what, though.

Is anyone angry with you at the moment? I don’t know why anyone would have a reason to be. I’ve done nothing but be emotional in the last few weeks lol.

Who's in the room with you right now? I’m alone now. I let Kimi out a few minutes ago.

Ever did something you regret while under the influence? Spend most of my money, which I tend to do. I always jokingly hand my wallet to my friends when we start drinking because I often end up buying expensive food loooooool. It’s never even drunk online shopping or whatever – I always flock to food, whether it’s food from the bar itself or at a nearby food stall or a Korean barbecue joint.

What car would you like to have, but know it's way out of your reach? A Mini Countryman or Clubman. That would be a nice big purchase once I’ve earned enough to get my own car.

What religion were you raised on? Do you agree with those beliefs? I was raised Catholic. I agree with most of its big tenets like the golden rule and not stealing or cheating, because I feel like those things are part of common sense too and me believing in those is more a matter of me wanting to be a nice person than me agreeing with Catholicism. I don’t believe in everything else such as their scriptures and the stories inside, and I don’t agree with their stances.

Would you say that you’re flexible? Not anymore. I can’t reach for my toes while standing or sitting without pain and discomfort shooting up my legs.

Keep the peace or finish out the fight to prove your side? I like getting all my arguments out but I have no problem agreeing to disagree in the end. Generally I just like being given the space to talk during a fight.

Do you believe in giving second chances? No, for the most part.

Can people really change? Yes. I know some can be stubborn or resistant to change (like me), but it’s wrong to rule out change for every single person.
