Note
Absolute crack notes from the Book of Enoch (Metatron) but the 'Aziraphale was meant to fall' theory and how AWCW might tie into that invokes it for me. With all the discussions about scapegoats and how Aziraphale is responsible for introducing War to humans. Christianity normally holds that the Fall happened long before humans were created, but Enoch presents a different origin for fallen angels and the sins of man: the "fallen angel" Azazel (a name you might recognize from the two goats story in Leviticus) is said to be blamed for all evil in the world, because he teaches mankind how to make weapons and instructs them in the arts of warfare and magic. Man wasn't capable of sinning before Azazel and his cohorts taught them wickedness. As punishment for this, God sends the Archangel Raphael to bind Azazel and imprison him until the Day of Judgement, upon which he'll be cast into a "lake of fire". This definitely means nothing but also it's really funny to me.
on the contrary i think it means a heck of a lot, anon!!!✨ the scapegoat story is literally like a chicken on a spinning rotisserie in my brain 24/7, im so sure that it is going to play some kind of part in explaining aziraphale and crowley's background.
i have read leviticus 16 so many times and still no clearer on azazel, because i think (?) it has been interpreted in so many ways, but the main ones ive gleaned are either:
meaning the literal place where the scapegoat was sent to wander, which is more in-keeping with the original passage from leviticus itself, or
meaning it was for the fallen angel azazel, as seen in book of enoch?
so if we look to the second option in apochrypha, book of daniel makes reference to the watchers as a particular type of angel. enoch goes on to describe that there were good and bad watchers. azazel as a fallen angel taught warfare to the humans, and enoch includes them as one of the 20 bad watcher leaders (along with kokabiel and baraqiel, interestingly), and also according to enoch, as you say, bound azazel and cast him into the desert:
10:4: And again the Lord said to Raphael: 'Bind Azâzêl hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the desert, which is in Dûdâêl, and cast him therein.
5: And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may not see light.
6: And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire.
7: And heal the earth which the angels have corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the earth, that they may heal the plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the Watchers have disclosed and have taught their sons.
8: And the whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azâzêl: to him ascribe all sin.
and here we cycle back round to the scapegoat again. now, whether or not this literally happens in GO is up for speculation, but i personally think it's unlikely. that being said, i think something similar could happen. let's somewhat hc this:
aziraphale tells AWCW about the plans for the stars, makes crowley start asking questions
aziraphale cautions against it, but AWCW plows on anyway the moron (affectionate) - but symbolically protects aziraphale from repercussions as shown by him shielding him from the shooting stars (thanks again to 🌙anon for this!!!)
AWCW is spurred on by lucifer et al., and is implicated in the more nefarious rhetoric being spouted by satan
aziraphale is similarly brought into this, insomuch that perhaps AWCW refuses to say who started to make him ask questions and thus protects aziraphale OR aziraphale is in fact implicated for his own part but not as harshly - instead, AWCW is punished heavily and can't quite protect aziraphale despite best efforts
(this would also echo two things - the potential "aziraphale was/is/will be raphael" theory, and the verse in enoch 10:4 that he was the one to 'cast AWCW out')
the fall, and potential memory wipe of it?
aziraphale is 'punished' for his own part by being assigned to eden, cast out somewhat from heaven, but not made to suffer the fall (harking back, for me, to aziraphale being the goat that is cast into the wilderness as described in leviticus - not AWCW who was offered up as the goat for god; both goats forming the complete sacrificial offering although only one is killed)
aziraphale inadvertently introduces the concept of war and destruction to humanity in giving away the sword, which crowley seems to applaud/be impressed by
yada yada GO narrative, right up until aziraphale returning to heaven (which then would echo the islamic call that azazel in fact repented, and was returned to heaven - 🌙anon may correct me?)
and when the day of judgement finally happens presumably in s3... aziraphale is given the ultimatum to cast crowley "into fire", in order to rid humanity of all the sin on earth (looking to enoch 10:7-8 here)?
lastly, going back to the whole aziraphale-and-crowley-were-meant-to-be-the-same-person-originally thing... what if they symbolically were in fact just that? both azazel and raphael, and neither of them also, maybe not literally the same angel split in two, but literally mirrors of each other in their narrative?
there are so many loopholes and missing detail in this, i know - and it probably doesn't make a lick of sense, to boot - but this possibility is so exciting for me!!!✨

Sander Sides Theory 1 ~ The Orange Side [V.1]
After spending the past couple days re-watching all of the sander sides series and a few reaction videos, it got me thinking about what the future of the series holds and what's to come... again. Over the years I have spent time talking to a couple friends theorising what is to come and I have finally got the courage to post about our ideas.
In this first post I will discuss what our thoughts are on what the mysterious 7th side is covering as much information as I can about them from their colour to possible outfit ideas.
Colour and Representation:
I’m sure most people are aware about the crayon theory at this point so I wont go into detail about that here (If you don’t know just google it, you’ll find someone explaining it there). Instead I will add to it and explain how it aids in finding out about what the side represents using colour theory.
All the sides we are currently aware of each represent a different aspect of Thomas’s personality and have their own colour that is associated with them. I have put the sides into pairs of a “light” side and a “dark” side where I’m going to analyse how their colours and factor have to do with the other in the pair.
Tumblr media
First up is Patton and Janus whose colours are light blue and yellow respectively. On the colour wheel these two colours are not close to being opposites by any means, which is then reflected in what they represent. Patton obviously being morality, the opposite for which would be immorality, and Janus being deceit, with his opposite being honesty, and whilst deceitfulness would be a part of immorality it is not the only part of it hence why the characters colours are not fully opposite each other on the wheel.
The second pairing is the brothers Roman and Remus. Both of their colours, red and green are completely opposite each other on the wheel, mirrored by the pair being Thomas’s “good” and “bad” creativity.
So what does this mean for our orange side. Well if we compare the colours blue and orange on the colour wheel we can see that, just like the brothers, they are complete opposites. This leads me to believe that the orange side will represent something that is the complete opposite of Logan. But what could be the opposite of logic... stupidity maybe... doesn’t seem likely. So what about ignorance. Might not seem like a perfect opposite but its the closest thing I could think of and could definitely lead to some issues to be discussed in the future. plus with Logan saying that they can read what he is saying or remain ignorant in the latest episode it just seems to good to be true.
Tumblr media
Personality and Appearance:
This next section will be a brief explanation for possibilities of what I hope Ignorance to be like and has little to no evidence for these ideas to be true (it would just be cool if they were).
Personality wise I’m hoping for a bit of a sassy character (like Sleep/Remy). My reasons for this is that the three “light” sides (Virgil is an exception) have three varying personality types that are as follows:-
the level headed one - Logan
the dramatic one - Roman
the zany one - Patton
These personalities can then be seen with the others as well with Janus being the level headed one and Remus being the zany one. this leaves the dramatic one and lets face it, if Ignorance behaved in a similar style to Remy that would be covered.
Moving on to appearance is were things start to get a bit more open-ended as there are so many options for how they could dress so instead of running through everything I will mention a few key features of their design.
One key feature of all the sides (Virgil arguably) is that they all have some sort of identifiable accessory that is around their neck area. Logan has his tie, Patton his cat hoodie, Roman and Remus both have their sash’s and Janus has his shawl thing, and as said you could argue that Virgil has his hood or headphones even if they aren’t always there. This then begs the question as to what Ignorance’s accessory would be and I have two options.
Either he has an orange feather boa, because why not, it would be fun and very dramatic. The other option is a necklace that has his logo on the end, I don’t really know it was just an idea, nothing really to support this.
The only other key feature is that all of the “dark” sides have some for of makeup on them. Virgil has his eyeshadow eyebags, Janus has half his face as a snake face, and Remus has his moustache and gray heir streaks and a pinkish tinge around his eyes. I don’t have any full ideas for what it would be for Ignorance but I believe it would be something dramatic to go with the personality I think he would have.
Logo, Animal and Quirks:
Just like all the other sides Ignorance will have a logo and a few small quirks about him along with a few traits from an animal (being a dark side and all) and this is what I will be talking about next.
With little to base anything of I have my own idea for what I would like Ignorance’s logo to be. My idea is based on what I believe could happen during Roman and Logan’s future arcs, and on what goals Janus has for the future. To put it simply the logo would be of a clock. This is due to the fact that Logan can easily dismiss the claims of the other sides by using logic and can easily point out the flaws in what they are saying however, Ignorance would be able to throw Logan off of being able to do this by telling him things along the lines of ‘Not having enough time to learn everything’ and ‘No matter how much you study or learn you will always remain ignorant about something’. He would use the concept of time to throw Logan off hence why it could be his logo.
As all the other “dark” sides have an animal that they posses traits from I see no reason why this wouldn’t be the same for Ignorance. Once again there is little to no evidence for my choices but I will explain it where ever it is needed. As their logo, in my view, is/should be a clock I feel as though the animal they have traits of should reflect this. The initial idea I had was that it would be a crocodile, based of the one in Peter Pan, and while this idea has no evidence for it i would just like Ignorance to be sat there just saying ‘Tick-tock-tick-tock’ in the background. The second thought is that it would be a rabbit. Now I know this sounds absolutely ridiculous, which it is, but let me explain my flimsy reasons for it.
Logan has an Alice in Wonderland puzzle book and it would just be funny if his counter was based of the white rabbit from the story.
In the most recent Asides episode Thomas steps in line, and buys, a steamed CARROT, in the food court. Not only are carrots orange like the side but they are also the stereotypical food that rabbits like.
I just think this would be really funny if this was accurate to any degree, but its probably not.
Tumblr media
There is one more trait that I would like to mention and that is how the side would speak. Or more specifically the kind of things they make reference to whilst speaking. Janus will often make references to famous philosophers and doctors such as Immanuel Kant, Max Stirner, Dr. Robert A. Stebbins , whilst Remus references Christianity teachings and The Bible such as Cain and Abel, Adam and Eve and Hell. So what would Ignorance make reference to whilst speaking. Well as he is opposite to Logan it only makes sense that he would be able to fully use modern day slang in his everyday vocabulary while also using it appropriately.
Name:
The last and final aspect of this side that needs talking about is his name obviously. We are all aware that in the Sander sides universe there is a reason as to why the sides are all named the way they are.
Logan is named after the rhetorical appeal logos, the appeal to logic.
Patton is named after the rhetorical appeal pathos, the appeal to emotion.
Roman is named after romantic and Romanticism.
Virgil is named from the word vigilance and the character Virgil from Dante’s Inferno.
Janus is named after the Roman god of beginnings and transitions, and just so happens to be two faced.
Remus is named after the character in the story Romulus and Remus from Roman mythology.
Ignorance would not be an exception to this. I have also taken into account the pattern that the “dark” sides names seem to have, ending in an -us.
So following a look into possible Roman mythology names that are somewhat related to ignorance I found nothing and decided to have a look at the next best thing. Greek mythology!!! Turns out there is a Greek god of stupidity who is called Koalemos with a Latin spelling of Coalemus. I believe however, that the name could be spelt as a mix between the two, Koalemus, keeping the -us spelling at the end and having the ‘K’ from the Karrot King fast food joint in the most recent episode.
Conclusion:
In conclusion I believe that the orange side will represent ignorance, will be dramatic, over the top, and be called Koalemus. Everything else is a bit up in the air to be a fully justified conclusion.
I will post more theories about the future of the Sander Sides series and will likely revisit this current theory if/when more information is given or hinted at but for now thank you for reading.
