Let's take record of the week. This week I have learnt to surrender control. Completely surrender so that it's God working through me and not my works. I've learnt to not hold on to things , to not hold on to past disappointments, to let go of what was and embrace what is and to let God be God. After all is said and done, you take the victory and God takes the Glory, you might as well allow Him to take the blows as they come. Let Him fight for you and Trust that He knows what is good for you. I promise you, that sort of surrender is not easy, at times you will wonder if He is still with you, you will pray and think your prayers are not getting answered and that's where religion will try and convince you that when you pray God will answer you in 3ways: Yes, No, Wait. And now you're in the "Wait" But Jesus says the contrary in John 11:42 "I know that you always answer my prayers. But I said this, so the people here would believe you sent me." (Contemporary English Version) If Jesus prayed and knew without a shadow of doubt that God, the father heard Him and He got the answers to His prayers, how much more will God hear and answer you, you who is hidden in Christ in God. You were the reason why He sent Jesus, so that He can bring you back to Himself. HE put you in Christ, the safest place you can be, and Jesus puts a stamp on it, so that whatever you ask in His name, He will do it for you so that the Father might be glorified in the son. Do you think He went through all that and still deny you. God is faithful. He is your strength He is your comforter He is your Father. I learned Isaiah 41:10 at one of the most painful moments in my life. I didn’t know what I was going to do, I didn’t know if I would ever smile again because the pain was so great, but I heard God say, “Fear Not!” So I looked for the corresponding scripture and found this. I found the assurance that I did not have to be afraid because no matter what, He’s got me. He would give me the strength that I needed and He would lift me up with His righteous right hand, the hand of power! This picture is a reminder that while it may seem slow, you will get your smile back, you will live and thrive because this scripture is a promise that He will uphold us and so we don’t have to be in fear, we just have to stay in faith! Have you ever taken the time to examine how the river flows? I will be the first person to admit that the life and the seasons of a man cannot be compared to the animals or the ecosystem that man has been created to dominate. Yet, like Solomon, who observed the way of the ant and instructed the sluggard to do the same, we can learn a lot from our environment by observation. 💥 The next time, those defeating thoughts show up - thoughts of failure, thoughts of ‘you are not good enough’, thoughts of frustration, regret, guilt and all those energy-snapping thought, be bold enough and say to yourself, "I am more than these.
