this album was released in 2013 and still sounds fresher than anything that's out right now. every track is excellent. it's truly one of the best albums ever made and it's not an exaggeration when we call it the Pink Bible

Day 259: Friday September 16, 2022 - “Friday Night Baseball”

Thank God for Friday Night.  Been waiting for two weeks for my fantasy baseball team to come to life and pull away in my first round playoff matchup and then suddenly it happened, all at once with the start of the evening games.  8 hits - 7 homeruns, to start the night.  That definitely lifted the mood.   The Bulls drove the nail on what was a close matchup that I had thought would go all the way down to Sunday Night Baseball...but instead, it was decided before the end of Friday Night Baseball.  i’ll take it.  Que the Trumpets.  We’ve closed this one out.  One more round to go.

Its been a really fun week of baseball with every Cardinals game having some other kind of history.  Earlier in the week I listened as Waino and Molina set a record that will be near impossible to beat with the most games pitched together.   Then Pujols hits his 2,200th RBI while chasing his 700th home run, making everyone have to stand for every one of his special at bats.  Electric in Busch Stadium all week as they pull away and get ready for their own postseason run. And then tonight as we picked up our thai-take-out the radio rang out “light up the night” - Albert had gotten one more notch closer with his 698th home run.  So exhilarting to hear it live on the radio.  What a moment.  But it wasn’t even the most historic of the night, arguably.   More significant, Helsley closed out the Redbird winner with an immaculate inning.

What a great great baseball night.
