The “Reuniting the Surigao Treasures” exhibit is the first time those treasures are all gathered together in one place in the Philippines. It is much larger than the joint exhibit in 2015 in New York City’s Asia Society Museum co-curated by Drs. Adriana Proser and Florina Capistrano-Baker. The latter is the curator for the Ayala Museum’s exhibit.

… The exhibit features a four-kilogram chain (Ayala Museum) reuniting with its pronged finial (BSP), woven waistbands with seven belts (BSP) meeting partial and complete sashes and buckles (Ayala Museum), and a balance scale (Ayala Museum) paired with a scale pan (BSP).

Other items the BSP is loaning to the museum include a 4.5-meter kamagi chain consisting of 12 connected necklaces, bangles with semi-precious stones, necklaces with suso beads, and more finials.

The exhibit, which will run until 2027, coincidentally begins with the 50th or golden anniversary of the Ayala Museum.

End Time

okay yeah this was my last arcade session before COVID-19 forced everything to shut down. literally the worst time to have gotten into (and hyperfixated on) arcade rhythm games because now they were just GONE. completely inaccessible for what would turn out to be a whole year. so alas, you might see the equivalent of a timeskip here as i kinda breeze through the very few home rhythm games i played over quarantine until i finally got the chance to revisit round 1 in... march 2021.

but enough doom and gloom, lets check out the scores themselves!!

i got silver class in golden league to play some of the epic exclusive spooooky songs available, and DAMN did i breeze through clearing them (though The World Ends Now was kinda rough). i also did New Century BSP-9 for a Black Flag Academy challenge and... didn't secure an AAA unfortunately (acc still not the best). i also got my fifth and new best 17 clear, voltississimo ESP-17!!! funny drill song!!!!

that was all for the DDR side of things, but vaguely knowing that the arcade could very well be shut down due to the pandemic on the rise, i got some other scores in IIDX and WACCA while i still could!!! they aren't great, of course, but they were fun :] (and i'd end up getting better at IIDX as time went on.

so that concludes all the rhythm gaming for this year unfortunately, though it'll come back soon enough!!! juuuuust need to sort through everything else i got over the year
