He hums a quiet tune when you don’t say anything more, hugging you tight against him, while he slowly sways you back and forth. “It’s alright.” He soothes, “I’m sure you did your best.” He starts to rub his hand up and down your back. “Whether you pass or fail, I’ll still be proud of you.”

Something in your heart breaks the moment he finishes speaking. He feels your fingers clutching onto the fabric of his hoodie, and panics when your shoulders begin to shake.

“Y/n?” He fretted, trying to get a look at your face. His hands are waving around him in a panic when he hears you sniffle.

“Sorry.” You say after a moment, hiding your face from him. “Everything's been going wrong lately,” Reki frowns, smoothing his hand down your back once more. “You always seem to make me feel better though.”

Reki looks at you with a soft smile, lifting your head gently to look at you. “I’m glad I could help.” He says, thumbing your tears away. “I’m always gonna be here.”

DATING MIYUKI HEADCANONS

i like the way you think.

dating Miyuki is going to be a rollercoaster. he’s not going to have enough time to be the boyfriend that’s always there so he needs someone who’ll understand that.

communication is something he isn’t entirely good at, but he’ll try to be better at understanding things because he knows communication is a keystone in a relationship.

Miyuki isn’t the best person to be in a relationship with, he knows that himself, but if someone were to ever give him the time and patience he needs- he’s not going to let it pass him by.

being the captain of the team he’s got to a weight on his shoulders, on top of that- i figure he doesn’t get much sleep too

so whenever he sees you, he’d like to lean against you, practically laying his entire weight against you as he snuggles into you, pressing quick kisses to your neck.

your relationship would be like a puzzle, one minute you two would have a connection- the feeling of fitting together perfectly, and the next- an unfit feeling leading to the forced actions between you two.

he doesn’t like pda, the only thing he’d do in public would lean against you really, maybe even a quick kiss to the cheek when he thinks no one is looking.

Miyuki needs someone to tell him that he’s doing good, that they’re proud of him. sure, his dad may do it silently. but Miyuki wants someone to tell it to his face.

and if you ever do it, he’ll fall for you, all over again.

he’s not verbal on his needs, you’ll have to keep guessing on what he needs or wants, and when you finally get it- he’s sending a sarcastic quip your way.

speaking of sarcastic quips and comments, be prepared for a lot of them, it’s honestly like his love language at that point.

if he ever pisses you off and he knows he did, he’s doing either of the two,

one; apologizing by leaving you whatever food you like in front of your door (homemade of course)

or two; ignoring you just like you are him until one of you gives (it’s usually Miyuki, he may be hard-headed but he doesn’t like you angry at him for too long)

he’d like to cuddle you, but he’s awkward with it i’m my opinion. he’s kind of new to relationships so he’s iffy about… everything at first.

but once he gets used to everything, he’s grabbing at you every second. pulling you so you’re halfway across his body, your head tucked just below his chin.

looks for you whenever he’s stressed, he won’t tell you about what’s bothering him, he’ll just want to be in your presence, no matter if you’re just in the room doing something else while he sits or if you’re cuddling him.

he likes cooking for you, sometimes during school breaks and vacations you’d be over at his place and he’d be awfully domestic.

Lowkey, I feel like he would take it seriously and genuinely be concerned but would act like he’s chilling.

“Hey, babe.” He’d greeted, setting down his bags on the doorstep after he slipped off his shoes. “What’s up?”

You looked at him with a look of disbelief, confusion fogging his head. “Oh, so we’re talking now?”

He’s a fairly quiet guy, he’s respectable too.

So if you make it a point to ignore him- he’s going to give you space.

Langa is extremely comfortable around you. He never has trouble sharing his emotions around you (even though he finds it hard when around others) and he’s glad to have somebody like you.

He’s never once questioned your emotions or lack of. He quite literally applauds you for it because he thinks you’re cool.

Langa isn’t good at reading emotions, we all know this.

So he has a bit of trouble when you’re together but he always throws in a bit of praise whenever he’s with you. Just in case you need it.

And one day, when you two are alone in his house, it’s the first time he understands.

“Are you alright?” He asks, tilting his head at you. He jolts when your head falls to his chest, your fingers clutching the fabric of his shirt tightly. “Y/n?”

Your grip tightens more than before, and he feels something wet soak against his shirt. Your shoulders shook, your breaths were uneven and desperate. As if whatever caused this, was suffocating you.

“I’m sorry.” You choke out, “I’m sorry for this, Langa. I’m sorry.”

He wraps his arms around you, pulling you more onto him. “You don’t need to apologize. You haven’t done anything wrong.”

“Say Reki, (name) hasn’t come by in a while, are they okay?”

He froze, guilt washing over him in waves. “I- I’ll be right back!” He shouted, grabbing his skateboard before tripping out of the house.

“Reki!” His mom shouted, watching him run off, skateboard clattering onto the ground.

His breaths are uneven, tears pooling in his eyes and dripping past his cheeks. How could he forget you? How long had it been since he’s talked to you? Seen you? Were you at the tournament? With Miya, Joe, Cherry, Shadow, Langa? No… he never saw your name on the board, he knows you would’ve made it- you of all people would have made it.

A crack in the road makes him fly off his skateboard, turning his body to land on his back, snatching his board before running again.

Your house comes into view, pushing his legs to go faster than he has, rushing to the door and knocking hurriedly.

Your eyes looks back at his and before he can say anything, the door shuts in his face, his hand trembling when he raises it to the door.

“(Name), please.”

The door cracks open before you step out, pushing his shoulder lightly. “What do you want.”

He steps forward, freezing in his place when you take a step back. “I’m sorry, you have to understand.” He hesitantly reached out for you, hand lowering when you showed no sign of wanting to be touched. “I don’t know what you’ve been going through, and I know you probably don’t even want to see me right now but,” hesitantly stepping forward, continuing when you didn’t move. “You don’t have to go through this alone you know.”

You stare at him, hand holding his chin to tilt his head. “I hate you right now.”

he whips around to you, “no-no it’s true! whenever i see you you’re just breathtaking and i can never get my heart to stop beating so quickly!”

miya deadpanned at the boy in front of him, rolling his eyes as he walked away, leaving you stranded and alone with reki. “my work here is done.”

your mouth opened and closed as you tried to get words to come out, a permanent heat filling your cheeks as you avoided reki’s eyes.

the redhead caught attention to your behavior, pausing as he recalled what he said, his face slowly filling with red. “um! uh haha! well, well uh- let’s see… you know!” he stammered, rubbing his neck.

“do you mean that?” you hesitantly ask, tilting your head at him.

“yeah, of course i mean it.” he sighs, covering his head as he squatted down to hide. “this is really embarrassing.”

anyways, for me, tanba seems like the type to avoid any pda or physical touch from anyone. not that he doesn’t like you or anything he’s just not entirely alright with it.

but once he does become comfortable with it, whether it be just you in general or everyone. he’s asking for a lot more than before.

typically before games, he sits alone quietly for at least a minute. sometimes you’re there, sometimes he just aimlessly thinks of you.

on a day you’re there, he asks for a quick kiss, and another. and suddenly you're peppering his face with kisses, the ones to his forehead never growing old to him.

he asks for more forehead kisses, for good luck of course.

Shunshin

i know shunshin is like a typical stoic ‘i won’t acknowledge you until you do something amazing’ kind of person but i think just the right person could change that instantly

he’s minding his business watching recordings of games, taking mental and physical notes of flaws in his pitches, and even sketching batters movements.

and suddenly, there’s just a soft peck on his temple. and before he could look to see who it was, another one is placed to the middle of his forehead a quiet, “go to sleep” filling his ears

there’s a blush growing on his face, but he’s glad the night hides it.

it’s hard containing this boy, the literal epitome of a lasting sugar rush.

you could try handling him with bare hands and motivation, but he will not go down with a fight.

it’s all the same one particular day, he’s running around yelling and laughing while the team sighs and looks at you, half expecting you to do something about him.

haruno is the one who suggests it, kissing him randomly to shut him up. and if you weren’t already nervous about being stared at, kissing eijun in front of everyone was going to make it worse.

he’s jumping in front of you for a moment, holding onto your hands while he does. at your call he stops jumping entirely, eyes wide when he feels your lips against his head, face flushing red when you pull away.

At the sound of a skateboard clattering, grunts, and curses filling the air from the bottom of the hill, Langa skids to a stop, heartbeat racing in fear of who he’ll see at the bottom. 

Your backpack comes into view when he reaches the steep, bruises and dirt covering your face as you look up at the spray-painted star on the bridge. 

“(Name).” 

You turn toward him, a surprised look on your face. “Langa.” 

He looks around, a frown crossing his lips. “Reki isn’t here?” 

Sighing, you grabbed your skateboard, slinging your backpack over your shoulder. “He caught a fever, but he doesn’t want to see anyone right now.” 

“Not even you?” 

A bitter laugh comes out, a sad smile making its way to your lips. “I’ve been his best friend since we were in diapers Langa, he especially doesn’t want to see me.” He walks down the hill, hair swaying with every step he took. “It’s my fault for not noticing what was happening with him.” 

His arms wrap around your shoulders, knocking your balance off slightly. “Please, don't leave too.” 

“Langa, I’m not going anywhere.” You say, pushing him back by his shoulders, poking his chest. “You don’t leave us.” 

“I don’t understand.” 

You shake your head, pushing him forward. “You’re so caught up with skating, it’s becoming a little concerning langa.”  

He tilts his head at you, tugging on your board. “But you’d get excited going against someone right?” 

“I mean, yes everyone has the rush of adrenaline when they beef with someone amazing but Langa, adam isn’t as amazing as you think he is.” 

He skids to a stop, your chest bumping into his back. “That’s what Reki said last night. About not being excited when going against adam.” 

“Langa, you saw what adam did to reki! You can’t come back from something like that!” You shouted in disbelief, grip tightening on your board. 

“I want to go against adam.” He says, “not for myself but for Reki.”

You stare at him, lips parting when you saw the way his eyes shone. “The only thing Reki wants from you is for you to stay away from adam.” 

“What’s different from Reki skating for Miya’s sake, and me skating for Reki?”

“You know what he’s capable of Langa, he nearly put Reki in a hospital bed and you’re telling me you still want to skate against him!” you shout, tugging him down by his collar. “Me, Reki. Chinen. Shadow. Cherry, Joe, we all don’t want you to end up in a hospital bed because you were too careless!” 

He shakes his head, “You don’t know if that’s going to happen.”

“And if it does?” you ask, biting down on your lip to hold back the tears that wanted to fall. “What would your mother say? She doesn’t know about S, none of our parents do. So what the fuck is she going to think when she gets a call saying her son is in the hospital from sustained injuries that happened at an illegal skate competition?” 

He remains quiet, biting his tongue when tears welled in his own eyes. “Im sorry.” 

“Everythings falling apart Langa,” You whisper, a slight tremble in your voice. “And I don’t know what I’m gonna do when it’s all gone.” You sound defeated, just like Reki did last night when he finally let out his pent-up thoughts.

He walks a little ways behind you the entire walk home, always stopping when you try to let him keep up with you, ultimately giving up when you take his hand in yours. He drops you off at home, waiting at the gate for you to go inside, sending you a wave before you closed your front door. 

He ponders on your words that night, scribbling on random pieces of paper strewn across his desk, some littered in your handwriting from when you and Reki would pass notes in class. He picks one of the papers up, a messy pen drawing of the three of you on Langa’s second night in Okinawa, fireworks littering the background. 

“I’d do anything for you guys,” he says to himself, taping the messy drawing on his wall above his bed. “And I hope you’d do the same for me.”

For someone who has a father who is keen on keeping him fit, he’s never minded anyone else’s health unless it directly affected him.

He never minded that you had a little belly on you, he found it cute.

He’d always lay his head on it, and whenever he laid against you his hand would be resting on it.

He’d found out about your insecurity after you kept on shifting in bed, picking and pulling at your shirt.

I know Chris is considered the responsible and ready-to-go senpai and everything but come on. He’s got a sliver, a molecule if you will, of knowledge about periods.

All that’s in that (pretty) head of his, is baseball, his future, and you. But not periods.

Initially at least. We’ll say it’s early on in the relationship.

He’s just minding his own business, cooped up in his dorm and suddenly there’s loud knocking on the door and he fills with dread because he assumes it’s a certain pesky underclassman.

But he finds you, wheezing and clutching your stomach in pain and he assumes you’ve got some stomach bug.

“Are you going to throw up?” He asks, turning around to grab the small waste bin beside his desk. “Do you need some water? Medicine?”

He’s genuinely worried for the wrong reason, please tell him.

Once you do tell him the reason he’s going to pull you against him (despite your concerns of leaking) and just lay his hands on your belly. (Adjust them to your comfort, he doesn’t mind.)

Anyways, I feel like the only knowledge Tetsuya has on periods is what they taught them in primary school.

Once you tell him you’re on your period he’s slapping himself in the face (literally) and frantically asking if there’s anything he can do to help with cramps.

at games, since he tends to jump after he scores a run, he’ll find you in the stands and shout your name, sporting a wide smile when you pump your fist at him, his fist-raising as well.
