I am a hostage to my own humanity
Self detained and forced to live in this mess I've made
And all I'm asking is for you to do what You can with me
But I can't ask You to give what You already gave
'Cause I've been housing all this doubt and insecurity and
I've been locked inside that house all the while you hold the key
And I've been dying to get out and that might be the death of me
And even though, there's no way in knowing
Where to go, promise I'm going because
I've gotta get outta here
I'm stuck inside this rut that I fell into by mistake
I've gotta get outta here
And I'm begging you, I'm begging you, I'm begging you to be my escape.

devotion 08
"My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever."
Psalm 73:26
In times of challenges in life, i believe that it is also the time that we get more closer to God. Even the unbelievers call to Him, and that's great. I remember yesterday, when watching Favor Church's service on YouTube, Mr. James Aiton said that, "Unchurch people are more receptive to the supernatural power of God being poured than the church people, because they are desperate." and that even made me realized that, yeah, this is the point.
I didn't say that we have to leave church and become unchurch person but as a church person (like me), we need to have that kind of feeling to get more closer to Him. That even in good or bad things in life, we have to be desperate to the Lord.
so back to the verse.
Before, I really feel that the Lord is much nearer to me when I call unto Him in times of struggling. Because I thought that when I have problems, I should only call to Him. But I'm totally wrong. When I decided to open my heart and my mind and surrender everything to me, my point of view to Him even changed. That even in my great situation or not, God is always near. It is me who go farther when I thought I don't need Him.
I fail everytime, my heart, my mind, my body, and even my soul. I fail. But now that I learned how to surrender everything to God, I may have all this struggles and failures in life, but I have to count my blessings. I have to count what God has given me than to question myself about what happened.
He become my fortress in everything, I even made this blog just to remind myself how good He is in my life and my family's life. He is more than wonderful. He made me realized that not all the people you've met are forever besides you, that He is the God who stays. And I am more contented in things that I never appreciates before, my God made me do it.
Thank you Lord for your word.
This is my prayer:
"Father, my heart is filled with joy as I made this devotion right now. Thank you for the assurance Lord that you will never leave me and my family, thank you. God as I get close to You, always remind me to be faithful to You, and not to anything else. You are my fortress, oh God. Thank you for always giving me a reason to get up early and bond with You and my family. Thank you for changing me once again. I can't thank you enough for everything that you've done in my life and to my family. Always protect us from harm, God.
This I pray in the Mighty Name of Jesus, our Lord.
Amen."
Have a blessed monday everyone. God loves you.
love,
herdeardiaryy.

Tumblr media
Gotee Records announces the signing of the husband and wife duo, AGUILAR, which is Gotee’s Courtnie Ramirez and her husband Edgar Aguilar. They have released their first single on Gotee, “Jireh,” a Spanish version of the Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music hit. Edgar, who is one of the worship directors at Elevation Church translated this award-winning song into Spanish for their debut release. Click here to listen to AGUILAR’s “Jireh.” The official music video will be released later this week. “Edgar and Courtnie have such a great heart to sing the worship songs being expressed in the Church in America and around the world, and then crossing those songs between the cultures,” shares Joey Elwood, President of Gotee Records. “I love how these two young worship leaders are blurring the lines of what it means to be a Global Body and for the Body to respond to one another’s expression of Worship. Here’s to the future of songs from the Church being the sound of all of humanity!”

What Do You Think About Churches Being Music Labels?
Tumblr media
https://youtu.be/-QZhjR6PPlc For a few years I was president of Integrity music in Mobile, Alabama. I was President of 40 Records, which was a division of Gotee Records, which was their worship label. I have a lot of experience in worship music. What we've seen over the last 10-20 years and even longer than that, is that many churches are now becoming worship labels, like Hillsong and Elevation Church. Years ago you were looking at Marinatha, Vineyard, and now Bethel. People ask me, “what do you think about a church being a music label?” I've got multiple responses to that.  First of all, as a believer and a new Testament believer, I believe the best songs, the best worship songs come out of the local church. I believe the church was designed to birth worship music and not to create songs, but to create an atmosphere for worship. I believe the church is becoming worship labels and music labels. I've not really had a problem with that at all because I think that is the presence environment, which creates the culture and the atmosphere in the presence of God for worship songs to be created. Now there is a line where I think the function of a traditional label may be done better outside the local church. So a lot of times you're finding local churches sending off their distribution or their marketing or their publishing to a third party. They are the content provider. The church provides the content and then they may sub their distribution and other services that they're not really as well equipped for, because it's not really a function of the church. I think this modern trend to go with local churches is a very good trend - as long as they merge their services with somebody that has the functions, the ability and the resources to do those things that a local church is not created to do. They're not created to have their own distribution. They're not created to have a lot of the things that a record label provides, like a large staff. But again, my heartfelt belief is the music should be created and sent out of the local church and then distributed through other facets. View this video on Vimeo Read the full article
