i've played through a few different Blood Moon routes with Beau (tho Vesper is kind of my Main Boy so i've definitely played more with him) and i'm having fun coming up with the sort of character he is

Beau, as his name might imply, is very pretty, and also very aware of it. he's also a charmer, and has a tendency to kind of lean into the blonde stereotype if people are gonna assume. so he comes off as just kind of a friendly, not terribly smart guy, but he's sharp and shrewd and observant and can be really cruel with it if he needs to be

thankfully, his pack is his Entire Soft Spot and he mostly uses his powers for good, or at the very least for the good of the pack (ie he tends to uuuh scam/straight up steal to make sure the pack is fed)

he's put so much of himself into the pack that he's not really all that good at thinking about what he actually needs or wants, which is why he winds up as the alpha oops

he's also had a huge crush on Sergi for a looooong time, but figured he wouldn't be interested and kept it to himself, and/or outright ignored it as something that could never happen

No me stting on my work counter, snug in the corner of the side of the fridge, listening to lofi whilst being overstimulated.

staying late after the rest of the department had gone home for the evening was pretty common for her ----------- apparently a habit she’d inherited from her father without even realizing it. ( though the number of nights she went to bed as a kid without seeing her father only to see him materialize the next morning at the breakfast table might have been a clue. ) but she liked the quiet being on an empty deputy’s floor brought, liked the ability to get caught up on all the paperwork she tended to willfully ignore during the hours that made up her regular shift. once and a while she’d see another desk light on out on the floor, or a lone office lit up from behind some drawn blinds for an hour or two past everyone leaving for the night, but more often than not she’d have the floor to herself for as long as she needed ( or until the cleaning crew came in and reminded her of just how late it had gotten ). 

she isn’t surprised to see @ichormotel​’s office lights on as she wanders down the hall in search of just one more lukewarm and burnt cup of coffee ------- he’s a lot like her when it comes to his approach to work; head down and all - in on seeing the case through until the end ( she sees that same stubbornness in him that she likes to deny about herself, too ), and keen on minimizing distractions. ( though it feels like that policy’s gotten a little more lax in certain circumstances ---- certainly nothing that would ever effect a case, but it’s been nice to have a reprieve once and awhile around here. ) and considering their current workload is less than light, those reprieves have been collateral damage when it comes to getting everything done.

so if she’s taking a few moments to take a break, there shouldn’t be any harm in offering him the same option, right? the fact she hadn’t even known he was here still means he’s well overdue anyway. she glances at her watch, making sure it’s as late as she thinks it is before she formally abandons her quest for tepid caffeine and opts instead for the open door of his office. she uses two knuckles worth of a light tap tap tap to announce herself, and the scene she finds on the other side of that doorway is pretty much what she’s expecting; he’s got a stack’s worth of paperwork spread out over his desk in the neatest form of chaos she’s ever seen, but the man that should be behind the desk is missing.

his jacket is still there, draped over the back of his chair -------- a hint that he’s still somewhere in the building, and not on his way home without her it; which is more than enough of an excuse for her to hang around and wait for him to reappear. ( so much for her little plan on compelling him to take a little break with her --------- it seems like they’ve had the same idea without even realizing it. )

she lingers in the doorway for a little while, leaning up against the doorframe and facing the longer end of the hall, waiting to hear what’s become the intimately familiar sound of his boots echoing off the tile floor. her eyes trail back to his desk again in the absence of any sounds that remind her of him, and after enough time hearing nothing but the air conditioning cycling on, she rolls her shoulder over the doorframe and opts instead to spend the rest of this surprise ( it’s still a surprise as far as she’s concerned; he doesn’t know she’s here, and now she gets to get in on the fun of not knowing when he’s going to walk through his own office door again ) waiting inside for him.

the chairs he has on the opposite side are passed up as options; and he looks better sitting in his seat anyway ------- which leads her to tidying up a small section of the front of his desk for her to perch on, collecting notes and evidence tickets and sliding them into one of the ( many ) manila folders he’s got open and setting it all to the side to make room for when she pushes herself up onto the edge and settles, legs crossed and swinging slowly back and forth; sharon leaning this way and that to make sure she’s just out of the eyeline of someone who’s about to walk through the door.

it’s still a few minutes more before she hears those footsteps coming closer, a shuffle and scuff of leather soles that remember where to turn even when it becomes clear he’s operating on auto - pilot ---- he may have been away from his desk, but it looks like he took a piece of it with him; another one of those folders resting on the crook of his arm while his brow keeps pinching over sentences he apparently isn’t all too happy to be reading. whatever it is on those pages, regardless of how they’re currently making his brow jump, they’ve got enough of his attention that he doesn’t see her sitting there waiting for him ---------- he even gets close enough for her to straighten out her leg and touch him with the toe of her boot. which she does, a little goose to his thigh accompanied by a cheshire - cat - worthy grin, “hey cowboy.”

as if she wasn’t already grinning from ear - to - ear, it’s only once he’s this close that she thinks she sees a paper cup cradled in his free hand ---- and if that’s the case, at least that last cup of coffee she’d been craving earlier went to a good home. “saw your light on. i didn’t realize you were still here too,” she hasn’t lowered her foot since that first little nudge to win back his attention, and she doubles down with a another roll of her ankle. “so i came in here with this whole speech planned about how you’ve been working all day, and trying to convince you that you deserved a break ---------- and i would’ve ended up delivering it to an empty room.”

still, it’s the thought that counts, right? the grin hasn’t budged from off her face, nor has the toe of her boot from his leg, “still wanna hear it?”

❥ Congratulations, you managed to score these two hotties as your boyfriends. There’s never a day that’s dull with these two. In this relationship there’s a perfect balance, Suo is the calm experienced one and Sakura is the brash inexperienced one. You’re kinda in the middle to balance these two boys out.

❥ Sakura will always get red in the face whenever you and Suo do some sort of display of affection. Just holding Suo’s hand and Sakura is already ready to combust like a volcano. Looking at you like you’re both heathens for holding hands. What will really make Sakura explode is when you hold his hand too.

❥ Suo really lets loose his mischievous side around you and Sakura. For Sakura, it’s not that hard to get him red but when it comes to you it becomes a little bit more of a challenge. Let’s just say Suo really likes the challenge so he tries many things to get you blushing. Getting Sakura to blush is just a bonus but you’re the real prize. He’s even keen on reenacting some BL scenes just to gauge your reaction. Sakura is an unwilling participant.

❥ You will have to initiate most of the time when it comes to Sakura. He is too embarrassed to show any affection to you. So it’s always Suo who ushers (pressures) him to do it. Sakura wants to give you a hug? You’ll likely see Suo behind him encouraging him.

❥ Regarding Sakura’s lack of experience, you and Suo will both have to teach him things. He’s embarrassed to ask you directly but he’s less embarrassed around Suo. He will ask Suo if these are the type of snacks you like or how to compliment you. Practice sessions do happen often.

❥ You don’t have to worry about any danger because you got two bodyguards who’s willing to face any danger for you. When a fights about the happen Suo will be the one to pull you behind him while Sakura will be the one to go ham on the opponent. Suo is the reliable shield and Sakura the fierce attacker. Not a single hair on you will be touched.

❥ They are both are really protective over you. If you’re alone and some guy tries to flirt with you, you already know Sakura will come running for a fight while Suo calmly walks toward you with a chilling glare at the poor guy.

❥ Cafe/Restaurant dates are quite common in your group as Sakura loves to eat and Suo loves watching you eat. You try to spoon feed Suo because the man does not eat at all. Meanwhile you gotta tell Sakura to slow down before he chokes.

❥ Another popular date idea in your group is movie watching. Which happens at either yours or Suo’s cause Sakura doesn’t own a tv. It’s a huge cuddle session but only you and Suo get to finish the movie because Sakura falls asleep halfway. The type of movie where Sakura doesn’t fall asleep are action movies, so majority of the time you all end up watching those. (bruce lee jackie chan tom cruise etc. )

wait wait wait guys have you ever thought about how the Mighty Nein are everything they shouldn’t be upon first glance

no no guys guys listen to me they’re all the antithesis of what they’re meant to be and that’s why they’re such amazing and heartfelt characters

like, Caleb is a wizard who’s afraid of his own fire magic. his own power causes him to falter in battle. his strongest spells are his most dangerous to himself. wizards are supposed to be prideful of their magic, but Caleb’s is the reason he hates himself

Beau is a monk who never wanted to be. her job is one that people normally associate with being calm and collected and Beau was a wild rebellious kid who got dragged into this line of work against her will. she never wanted to be this!! but now she is and she’s gotta deal with it!!

Fjord is a warlock who never wanted power from his pact, which is why you’d think a warlock would make their pact at all. but no. Fjord made his pact because he wanted to live, not because he wanted power. he was a scared orphan who hated his tusks, not a buff, muscled, angry half-orc like people assumed

Nott is NOT, that’s the whole crux of her narrative! she wasn’t pretty, like a halfling girl was supposed to be. she wasn’t a goblin, she was just transformed into one. and not only that, but despite being a three-foot-tall alcoholic kleptomaniac, she’s the mom of the group!

Jester is a Cleric whose god isn’t actually a god and who would much rather bash bad guys over the head with her lollipop than have to stop and heal her friends!! she’s a bubbly, optimistic ray-of-sunshine, but you know when she says she’s gonna change the world with friendship she means it as a threat

Mollymauk is an amnesiac, but he doesn’t want to remember who he was. if you ask him, that wasn’t him! he might be a flirtatious hedonistic carnie, but he’s also single-mindedly devoted to making the world a better and more loved place than it was when he found it. he’s a liar, but he means well. he’s an arrogant fool, yes, but he’s right! he did it! he left it better!

Caduceus seems like he’d be creepy and grim from growing up in a graveyard, but he’s actually the most chill out of the entire Nein by far. he’s calm, he’s sweet, and he’s comforting, more than anything else. you’d think he’d be amazed by seeing the outside world for the first time, but he spends the whole time knowing that one day he’ll return home, that he wasn’t supposed to be the one to leave

Yasha is a barbarian with skeletal wings and a dramatic, monochromatic look, but she’s a complete sweetheart. she’s Molly’s best friend, she was a carnival bouncer, she’s a lesbian disaster who collects pressed flowers in a book out of love for the wife she lost. those black wings were actually hiding soft white feathers

Essek was born straight into the den of politics, he was a spymaster, he literally started a war for his own gain, and yet. he’s sounds irredeemable on paper, but. he’s not!! sure, the Nein kind of have to drag his alignment kicking and screaming into neutral, but they manage it. Essek learns and grows and he overcomes his nature. he becomes good, against all odds

guys guys guys don’t you see it!! look at them!!they’re such compelling characters!! they’re everything they’re not supposed to be!! dude y’all how didn’t I realize this earlier!! they subvert their narratives in the most interesting ways ever and I justhshsbhshshsjnsmshsnhsfn!!
