How to Stop Gout Pain at Night
To alleviate gout pain at night, there are several steps you can take. Firstly, elevate the affected joint by propping it up with pillows or cushions to help reduce swelling and discomfort. Applying a cold compress or ice pack to the area can also help numb the pain and reduce inflammation. It is essential to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, as dehydration can worsen gout symptoms. Avoiding alcohol and foods high in purines, such as red meat, seafood, and organ meats, can also be beneficial. Lastly, taking prescribed medications or over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs as directed by a healthcare professional can provide additional relief from gout pain at night.

If I've had weird pain in my big toe for like....a couple months now at this point, like...I'm trying to figure out if I should go to a doctor or continue to ignore it based solely on the assumption it will heal on its own and nothing is seriously wrong
I don't know what I did to it, it legitimately was like I went to bed, woke up, and couldn't put all my weight on it. (For the record I can stand on it now, like it's fine and I don't feel it until I curl my toe. So it has definitely gotten better at least by a little bit)
It feels like I jammed it on something I tried to kick, but since kicking things is not part of my day-to-day, I'd like to think I'd remember if that was indeed the case.
Anyway. No one tells you when you're an adult you're the one who has to decide when you go to the doctor so fuck if I know what to do

Best Natural Homeopathy Medicines to Treat Gout Gout is considered as one of the most painful part of three forms of arthritis. In chronic stage, the person who is facing problem of gout for that pain is not too much, but it still keeps lingering for long. The pain and inflammation of joint occurs due to deposition of urate crystals in the joints. Gout is an inflammatory joint disease that develops when the blood's uric acid levels rise. Gout can affect any joint in the body, but the joint at the base of the great toe is more susceptible to the ailment. Increased uric acid does not constitute an illness and is not harmful on its own. However, gout mainly can develop if high uric acid levels cause crystals to grow in the space between the joints. Kidney stones can also form when levels are too high in some people. Please keep in mind that not everyone with high uric acid levels gets gout. Men are more likely to get gout, but women become increasingly susceptible to gout after menopause. It is also called “gouty arthritis” Homeopathy medicine for gout helps relieve the symptoms and also reduce the associated swelling in the joints. For everyone who has elevated uric acid, these medications can be a huge help. These medications function by lowering the body's excess synthesis of uric acid and, when necessary, by speeding the kidneys' ability to remove this waste product from the body. Causative factors for gout: The kidneys typically remove uric acid from the blood, and the body excretes it along with urine. However, large levels of uric acid can build up in the body when either the body creates too much uric acid or the kidneys drain too little of it. The name for this condition is hyperuricemia. The primary factors are, • If parents have problem of gout, than their children have 20% chance of developing it. • Intake of alcoholic beverages increases the risk for gout. • Diets rich in meat, yeast and oily fish increase the risk for gout. • Men develop gout at earlier stage than women because uric acid levels increase at puberty in men and at menopause in women. • American blacks are more likely to have gout than other populations. What are the symptoms of gout?
An episode of gout is called a gout attack. Gout attacks are very painful and can happen quite suddenly, often overnight. During a gout attack, symptoms in the affected joint(s) may include: • Intense pain. • Redness. • Stiffness. • Swelling. • Tenderness, even to light touch, such as from a bedsheet. • Warmth, or the sensation that the place is "on fire." • Less flexibility • Itchy and peeling skin later • Severe pain in the joints Effective Homeopathy Remedies for Treatment of Gout Homeopathy can help treat gout effectively. They relieve painful symptoms of an acute gout attack by aiding the elimination of excessive uric acid from the body. They assist in the body's removal of too much uric acid, which alleviates the uncomfortable symptoms of an acute gout attack. With the help of these medications, symptoms like pain, swelling, and soreness in the injured joints can be controlled. After that, the persistent propensity to experience repeated attacks of gout can be treated with the treatment for excess uric acid. I have a character that is genetically modified to make more blood. What are some problems that they might experience as a result? Also is this even possible? Thank You :)
You're not going to believe this but this is actually a real thing. Not the genetic modification exactly, but some people are born with a mutation that causes an overproduction of red blood cells (the oxygen-carrying component of blood and what is usually transfused when someone is given a blood transfusion).
The condition is called polycythemia vera. It's technically a cancer, but the condition itself doesn't kill people. There are some unpleasant symptoms and secondary conditions that warrant treatment, though.
In the early stages there are usually no symptoms. As red blood cell counts rise, the blood literally becomes thicker and moves more slowly, leading to high blood pressure, bruising, headaches, ringing in the ears, fatigue, dizziness, sweating, itchy skin, trouble breathing, pain in the hands and feet, and an enlarged and painful spleen.
The increased production and breakdown of red blood cells (PV doesn't break down blood cells directly- but since the marrow is making more, more break down in time) also causes an increase in uric acid. This is a metabolic byproduct generally peed out, but when there's too much of it it can cause kidney stones, gout, and stomach ulcers.
The easiest treatment for PV is bloodletting. If a person keeps up with regular removal of excess red blood cells (which are normal, so technically they could be transfused into someone else if other conditions are met), they can avoid symptoms for a long time. Later in life (80+) they may enter something called the "spent" phase of the illness, where their over-productive marrow has been replaced partially by scar tissue and they have trouble even making enough red blood cells to meet their own needs and end up with anemia.

Chiron: where is our physical (and mental) wound?
I'm currently reading a book about Chiron (did you know it's actually half asteroid, half comet? me neither), which inspired me to make this post. I'm in no way an expert in medical astrology, just a curious owl that wants to learn more about every branch of astrology out there (my Sag Venus loves it!!🤭)
DISCLAIMER!!! I'm not a doctor. If you've been feeling any symptoms described here, TALK WITH YOUR DOCTOR, NOT WITH ME
Tumblr media
Observation: Before we dive in, i'd like to mention that the position of Chiron in the houses is important. Not every house placement suggests having a poor physical condition. The most prominent Chiron placements when it comes to having a medical condition are: Chiron in 1st house (house of self, visible illnesses), Chiron in 5th house (illnesses since birth/early childhood), Chiron in 6th house (house of health, if Saturn is also sitting there it points to chronic illnesses), Chiron in 8th house (house of death, may point to severe diseases or poor reproductive health) and Chiron in 12th house (house of the unconscious, deals with mental illnesses)
Honorable mention to Chiron in 3rd house and Chiron in 9th house as they represent accidents while travelling. If Chiron is heavily afflicted in these houses (unless it's also conjuncting Jupiter), it may point to...let's just say you're gonna be in a hospital bed in a vegetative state, but remember, nothing has a 100% possibility of happening, you're just more susceptible to it happening. I suggest checking the position of Chiron in Solar Return charts for the possible timing of it happening (look for Chiron in 3rd house/Chiron in 9th house as it activates your natal Chiron)
Without further do, let's dive in⚕️
Chiron in Aries: frequent headaches, frequent nose bleeds, teeth problems (sensitive teeth, tooth decay), deafness, skull fractures, cerebral anemia, brain tumours, hemophilia, epilepsy, BPD
Chiron in Taurus: frequent colds, frequent voice loss, thyroid problems (goiter, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidis, etc.), tonsilitis, OCD
Chiron in Gemini: lung problems (asthma, tuberculosis, pneumonia, etc.), speech problems (stuttering, cluttering, mutism), alzheimer's disease, ADHD, OCD
Chiron in Cancer: frequent stomach pain, prone to lactose intolerance, (for girls) breast lumps, breast cysts, breast infections, nipple discharge, depression, anxiety
Chiron in Leo: prone to insolation, frequent heart palpitations, chest pain, hypertension, hypotension, arteriosclerosis, scoliosis, kyphosis
Chiron in Virgo: frequent bloating, prone to gluten intolerance, chronic allergies, diabetes, rabies, autism, ADHD, OCD
Chiron in Libra: prone to acne, frequent lower back pain, disc herniation, spondylolisthesis, chronic kidney disease, kidney stones
Chiron in Scorpio: frequent pain down there, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV/AIDS, depression
Chiron in Sagittarius: frequent pain in the hips, prone to hips dislocation, cirrhosis, sciatica
Chiron in Capricorn: prone to knees dislocation, osteoarthritis, bone problems (osteopenia, osteoporosis), gout, depression
Chiron in Aquarius: electrical injuries, shin splints, osteofibrous dysplasia, ankle sprain, ankle fractures, poor blood circulation, schizophrenia
Chiron in Pisces: prone to break toes, athlete's foot, bunions, addison's disease, hormonal deregulation, aphantasia, psychosis, schizophrenia, anxiety
Yes, i'm aware of the fact that it's a generational planet and it moves very slowly through signs
Tumblr media
BONUS: It's important to take into consideration all planets that conjunct, square or opposite Chiron (regardless if they're personal or generational) + the Ascendant for additional info about our illnesses
Ex. Let's take me as an example. My Chiron is in my 10th house in Capricorn squaring Saturn in 4th house (so double Capricorn energy) and Aries Ascendant. Guess what? I've got TMJ (basically a jaw disorder affecting the joints) and i've got it from my fam -_- (Saturn rules tradition i love my fam)
I also believe that having a heavy afflicted Chiron in general makes someone prone to having a medical condition, even if it's not in the houses mentioned previously (like in my case). However, these people are more focused on the main meaning of the house, not their health problems. They tend to ignore their health problems or they just don't care
I hope you enjoyed my post and found it insightful :)
What's your wound? Lmk in the comments your placements and your illnesses
Kisses xoxo

Cathy was so afraid. She couldn’t have the surgery without a designated carer. My name is in her medical records, I was to drive her to the hospital, get educated by her physical therapists, get her home, and see to her basic needs. If I was too ill to help, the surgery would be postponed, and it had already taken a full year to schedule. She’s been in bed since the summer of 2020, so the thought of postponement was unbearable. I drove her over an hour to the hospital early Thursday morning. My fever was gone, and I wasn’t coughing. It had been 6 days since my first symptoms. I wore a mask. The surgery before Cathy’s went over by three hours. Her surgeon looked totally drained when he stepped in the room. He said her surgery would be “very challenging.” It went super long too. The family waiting room was empty by the time he finally came in and told me, “It was difficult, but I’m quite pleased.” I went to Cathy’s room to find her free of pain and silly chatty from the anesthesia. I stayed, because a person just out of surgery should have somebody with them. Shouldn’t they? Oh, but the drive home! Dark and in a blinding rain! I was so stressed and scared. The hour drive seemed to last three hours. Lightning and howling wind greeted me as I dashed into the house. I had to grab some sleep and be back at 8:30 for physical therapy. Cathy panicked trying to walk in her walker. She couldn’t figure out which foot to use going up and down practice stairs. She’d say the correct foot out loud, then lead with the wrong foot and cry in pain. “That went super well!” chirped the therapist. “Let’s get you prepped for discharge!” I told Cathy I was going for lunch, but I found the charge nurse. “I can’t do this,” I said. “I’ve got to somehow get her into a truck with a high running board. Then I have to get her out and up four steps into her house. She’s not ready, and I’m scared.” The nurse (bless her heart!) called the therapy team, and they put their heads together. “Don’t worry,” she told me. “We’ll find some way to justify another night. Go get some food and rest. Everything’s going to be okay.”
a harrowing story from my buddy James Finn about growing older, fighting with flu and with gout, and still choosing to show up for a fellow aging, neurodivergent neighbor in need. It breaks my heart to read. I wish I could have been in western Michigan to help them. Real-life stories like these remind me that I need to upend the entire structure of my life to show up for people more.

I recently bought a copy of "Rise of the Dragon." It expands on the information given in "Fire and Blood" with additional details. For example, it mentions that one symptom of the Shivers plague that happened in Jaehaerys' reign was blue lips. This reminded me of the Warlocks of Qarth and Euron Greyjoy who obtained blue lips from drinking Shade of the Evening. When Jaehaerys' daughter Daenaerys died from the plague, it undermined the Doctrine of Exceptionalism as Targaryens weren't supposed to get sick from common illnesses. However, what if the Shivers wasn't an ordinary illness, but magical in nature?
Cyanosis is caused by lack of oxygenated blood and is a symptom of viral infections. The Shivers appears to be a pnuemonic bubonic plague, which had chills, fever, and hemopytsis, just like the Shivers. It's completely mundane.
But even if it was a magical plague, the idea that the Targaryens are immune to mundane diseases is still wrong. Aegon III died of tuberculosis, a mundane disease. Daenerys has dysentery, a mundane disease. Viserys I suffered from gout, a mundane disease. Jaehaerys II died of an unspecified disease, with no supernatural symptoms. Aegon IV had all sorts of nasty afflictions, none of them were supernatural. Even the Great Spring Sickness, which took out multiple Targs, doesn't appear to be a supernatural disease, merely an incredibly virulent and lethal one, much like the Black Death.
They aren't immune to mundane diseases, and they never were. This is literal in-universe propaganda that has already been debunked for us.
Thanks for the question, Anon.

Medicin, the healing coral plant
The Medicin or Jatrope (Jatropha podagrica) is a very curious plant with its bottle-shaped trunk and its inflorescence which resembles red coral .
For these reasons this plant bears the common names of bottle tree, Buddha's belly, dwarf baobab and coral plant. It is also known are the name of Medicin because of its medicinal virtues. This plant is part of the Euphorbiaceae family which also includes crotons , Christ 's thorn and cassava .
Its botanical name Jatropha comes from the Greek words iatros and trophe , which mean "doctor" and "food" respectively, in reference to the medicinal use of the seeds. The etithete podagrica comes from the Greek poda designating the disease of gout, the symptom of which is the swelling of the foot, in reference to the swollen trunk of the plant.
The Medicin is a plant native to Central America, Guatemala to Panama, which recently arrived in Tahiti.
Its pot-bellied trunk allows it to store water during dry periods. Above the protuberance, the trunk branches out into a few short, thick stems, starting in a tuft, giving it the appearance of a “dwarf baobab”. The leaves, carried by a long fleshy stem, form dark green bouquets. They are wide and cut into three or five large lobes. In the middle of these green bouquets emerge large stems at the end of which bloom amazing clusters of small flowers. The scarlet red male flowers, called “coral flowers” have five rounded petals. The female flowers, which are green, bear fruit, funny round green capsules which explode when ripe to scatter two or three black seeds several meters away.
