The Wall of Champions
Most F1 fans know the Wall of Champions. It's the wall on the exit of the last chicane on the Canadian F1 track in Montreal. But why is it called Wall of Champions? To find the reason for it we have to go back to the year of 1999, into the race of 1999 to be precisely. Because in this race, the wall got the name Wall of Champions. The story behind it is that in the 1999 race, first Damon Hill, world champion of 1996, crashed his Jordan Mugen-Honda into that wall. Later in the same race Michael Schumacher crashed his Ferrari into the same wall while the world champion of 1994 and 1995 was leading the race.
Tumblr media
Just a few laps later, Jacques Villeneuve (World Champion of 1997) also crashed his BAR Supertech into the exact same wall.
Tumblr media
And that is why the Wall Of Champions is called Wall Of Champions.

im literally just thinking about someone asking lando a rude question about his girlfriend or saying something mean and him having the sassiest response because that’s literally who he is. we ❤️ sassy men!!!
Lando visibly recoils at the rude question the interviewer asked him , the shock that they had the nerve to ask such a rude question shows on his face and demeanor , the look of shock quickly left and was replaced with a sarcastic smile , it was obvious he was not okay with the question and the interviewer could tell by the look he was giving them .
he will be sassy and probably say something like ‘who even are you to ask something like that?” Or something like that , very sassy and passive aggressive .
He’s very reassuring and loving towards you after , showering you in nothing but love . You ofc are a little upset n embarrassed about the question but you also find it extremely hot how lando defended you .
Lando is very protective of you , he won’t let any disrespect or people breaking your boundaries !! He try’s his best to be professional but he’s not going to bite his tongue and let people disrespect you .
The fans absolutely love how sweet and protective he is of you , not all fans , some hate that you are ‘getting in the way of his career’ but at the end of the day , they are hating on you because they are jealous . While you have your sweet and sassy boyfriend coming home to you !!

GP of Canada: Race
After the wet qualifying on saturday, the race was completely dry and a few minutes before the start even the sun started to shine. With the weather being not a big factor in the race everything started smoothly. Max Verstappen was able to hold his first place, while Alonso didn't had the best start and Lewis Hamilton claimed the second place after the start. However, Hamilton was a bit slower than Verstappen and a small gap started to build early and Alonso held up the pressure. After only a few laps, Logan Sargeant had to stop his car and the Virtual Safety Car got deployed for only a few seconds.
Nico Hülkenberg who started from P5 after the great qualy on saturday, again had problems keeping up with the speed of the other cars and with his tyre hungry Haas. He hold up almost the entire field and lost position after position. After 11 laps he went to the pit as one of the first to stop. And that was the moment he also got unlucky, because in lap 12, George Russell hit the high curb in turn 9 to hard and crashed into the wall on the exit. His right rear tyre was damaged and the right side of his front wing was gone. This meant that the safety car came into play and almost everyone went to the pit, only both Ferrari (on mediums) and Perez, Bottas and Magnussen (all on hard) stayed out. What seemed like another strategical mistake of Ferrari was actually exactly the right thing to do, because after the restart they could go the speed they needed to, despite the old tyres, and kept their positions 4 and 5.
At the front, Verstappen wasn't able to get a big gap, while Alonso catched up on Hamilton and finally overtook him, now chasing and slowly gaining on Verstappen, until Alonso made a small error in turn 8 and lost almost two seconds, afterwards he wasn't able to gain anymore and so nothing changed anymore until the end of the race.
George Russell retired his car 15 laps before the finish line, probably because of a damaged car from the crash earlier.
Race results after 70 laps:
Max Verstappen (Red Bull)
Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin)
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes)
Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
Carlos Sainz (Ferrari)
Sergio Perez (Red Bull)
Alex Albon (Williams)
Esteban Ocon (Alpine)
Lance Stroll (Aston Martin)
Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo)
Oscar Piastri (McLaren)
Pierre Gasly (Alpine)
Lando Norris (McLaren) (+5 seconds penalty)
Yuki Tsunoda (Alpha Tauri)
Nico Hülkenberg (Haas)
Guanyu Zhou (Alfa Romeo)
Kevin Magnussen (Haas)
Nyck De Vries (Alpha Tauri)
Not classified:
George Russell (Mercedes)
Logan Sargeant (Williams)
Another thing I really don't get sometimes is the inconsistency of the race control decisions. We had two situations in the pit lane this race, one by Lewis Hamilton and one by Lando Norris, both situations would've get penalized for unsafe release in most other races over the last years, but this time there were no penalties. If I would have to make the rules, I would get rid of the unsafe release rule almost completely, but because we have the rule and much less close scenes got penalized in the past, I don't understand why there was no penalty this time.
But okay, they'll know what they're doing. I hope you all had fun with the race and/or my race report! The next race is in two weeks in Austria, keep in mind that Austria will be a sprint weekend again with qualy on friday and the first race on saturday.
Keep racing!

Charles Leclerc’s press officer tried to dictate what he should say to the media following a horribly mismanaged qualifying by Ferrari.
Charles’ response? “I’ll say what I want.”

I really think the Williams team hasn't realized how much of their treatment towards Logan has lost them a lot of good will among fans. Like take his lap of legends, so much work went in to that, (from Logan, Williams Alumni, and the team behind it), was such a big opportunity, and really could have had generated some much needed good pr for the team and Logan, especially with the team and their treatment of Logan. Yet they allowed it to be overshadowed by the Alex announcement, like really you couldn't have waited at least a few days?
The moment Logan leaves I can see a lot of fans, just not interacting with Williams content anymore. As much as we talk about Alex and James Vowles being the ones who are restructuring/rebuilding Williams you can't forget Logan has also been a major face of that movement. All of their new era content, like their podcasts and interviews, Logan has played a major part in and I think a lot of fans will have a bad taste in their mouth watching once he leaves on such bad terms. Because realistically Logan has the perfect personality for that type of content and it will be nearly impossible to replace him there, its why he and Alex work together so well, they can match the energy and tangents.
Then you have to take into account of them Americans and drive to survive people. They get a lot of hate for either liking the sport at all or how they get into it. Logan is their driver, if you look at social media beyond Instagram comments you will find so much support for him. It is one thing to drop Logan as a driver because he's under-preforming (though I have thoughts about That to) but to go from saying you are going to do everything to help logan to publicly flirting with new drivers? Thats just rude. And now Williams are shutting themselves off from these markets/fan bases. I'm sorry but realistically Logan is leaving F1 and Americans will no longer have a home driver to root for and they will blame Williams for that so people will not stick around.
TLDR; Williams by being dicks have shot themselves in the foot next year publicity wise
