jason who has no emotional connection to his traumas and will talk about his experiences so easily and casually like he's talking about making a sandwich for lunch vs leo who has so much emotional connection to his traumas trying to get him to talk about it is like trying to pry open a locked steel door with a plastic fork

ok hear me out. thalia and luke both having ambition as their fatal flaws. thalia recognizing how dangerous it is bc luke is right there showing her what happens if she indulges her ambition. luke being so desperate to be the one who topples olympus he destroys everything he wanted to get there. thalia watching him hurt annabeth and calling him a traitor. they had the same dream. they were family. they were the same. she trusted him to take care of annabeth. he's a traitor. she can't make the same mistakes.

something that's been weighing on my mind ever since learning about the situation with ezra / toonimal is seeing how these predators will take the active hostility that is frequently directed towards minors in online spaces to their advantage and use it to prey on vulnerable children. i think that we as adults in online fandom should probably come together and maybe rethink the language / manner we go about interacting with kids bc clearly the way things are rn is causing active harm.
like obviously, if you're an adult and aren't comfortable with minors interacting with you or your content, you should be allowed to set that boundary and should be vocal about it, ( especially if the content you create isn't safe for them to consume. ) but i don't think talking to them like they're a blight on all that is good and holy is the way to go about it. maybe just saying you're an 18 plus account will suffice, you don't have to tell them to fuck off.

Silverscreen
Two-faced Johnny, hotel lobby
I won't go up without you
Plated boots, lipstick rouge
Jack on the edge of champagne fruits
Misdemeanor, gossip cleaner
Overacting table reader
Ego driver, loose-lip liar
Driving my head ill [••••]
Surface tension, I won't mention
Liar, liar, liar, ha
Dancing finger, constant linger
Driving my head ill
Coup de grace
Running the circles through, right back to you
Finding at the finish line, nothing new
The let-down that sticks like glue
Slipping through my fingers gripping onto what is left of you
Waiting for lessons learned, taking turns
The loudest of them all, left to be unheard
My story lacks in the facts
That it's so absurd
So come on, coupe de grace
Shavambacu
Ghost eyes sleep beside my baby doll
All night when I'm in bed with you
Sunrise never sets on baby doll
Her ghost tears, some call it rain
Well I'm crying for just one name
I can't stand to see another day
I'm not in L.A. to have my way with you
My little darling shavambacu, oh honey I love you
Killing the joke
Interstellar, dressed in leather, drinking bitter boy
You know the plan but you never knew the ploy
But I, I live a lonely life
Since you been gone I left the TV on
Let the milk go sour, let the bills pile up
But I, I know I'm a funny guy

People saying that fans weren't that mad about Grant, one of the original 4 party members, not showing up in the first two seasons of the Netflix Castlevania were clearly not at all aware or just not part of the Castlevania crowd when it was first airing, because I remember a lot of people being very ticked off and not liking the writers' explanation for why they left him out. The reason why nobody hears about it anymore was because people got exhausted (from being emotionally devastated) by season 3 (still sour about that) and by the season 4 when Greta finally to showed people were begrudgingly accepting of it because she was a cool character.
Not to mention the months and years between the entire production would have left people not really interested in seasons 3 and 4 by the time they aired. I wasn't even watching and bits of what I had seen or heard just didn't sit with me because 2 ended on a high note. And this is coming from someone who was very hyped about Death's appearance by the end of 4.
That being said, it is still f****** ridiculous that it took four seasons for Grant/Greta to show up and be relevant. That still pisses me off the more I think about it...
Also everything leading up from St. Germain's character arc... ehhh...
OC Isaac was pretty much carrying the second half of that show.
Nocturne looks cool but plot wise it doesn't really impress me overall. It's kinda it's own thing which is okay... Juste was a pleasant surprise, but I think I would have preferred something independent from the previous Netflixverse.

good news, i have the urge to write once more and no longer feel like throwing down sentences is on the same level as pulling teeth
bad news, i've parkoured my way back into my old fandom from when I was 12 (which is exciting considering I didn't start writing until I was 21 and now have so much more skill and experience for it, especially since I would always daydream about specific storylines and such for my shepard)
I do still need to finish all my Levi wips as well, especially since I'm proud of how far my writing has developed (imo) while writing for him. This man is too easy to put into scenarios, I love it
