no but like sometimes reading a fic where your fave is absolutely the one in the wrong and being an ass is good for the soul i promise
#especially if the character gets the uwu sunshine babbu treatment#its like cathartic when theyre portrayed as fucking up#i dont mean not [character] friendly fics cause thats just dogshit characterisation#granted with todd theres probably more fics where hes framed as being in the wrong/is an ass#and its just nice finding a fic where hes the one whos allowed to feel hurt and upset#as with dirk i wish there were more fics where he fucks up and its not excused/justified#sometimes people fuck up! and no amount of tragic backstory will make the person who they hurt suddenly become less hurt
