Found this little guy at work today. It's a grapelead skeletonizer moth! They only live a few days and feed on flower nectar, so this was a lucky find. :)

Is Skeletonizer an actual bug? Are there any interesting facts about it?

TODAY'S FACT IS
Did you know that the Western Grapeleaf Skeletonizer Moth (Harrisina metallica) are known for their habit of defoliating grape leaves? The caterpillars feast on the grape leaves, leaving nothing more than a skeleton of veins before moving on to the next leaf.
Native to the southwestern US and northern Mexico, the adults are active through the spring and sumner months and are identified by their dark blue or green sheen over a black body and narrow wings.

Grapeleaf Skeletonizer Moths Have Interesting Habits
Grapeleaf Skeletonizer Moths Have Interesting Habits discusses some unusual behaviors that set these odd looking little moths apart from other moths. It shows readers a moth that the author/artist spotted one evening.
Grapeleaf Skeletonizer Moth One evening when I went out to feed the dogs, I found this really cool looking moth flying around in the dog house. It was a grapeleaf skeletonizer moth (Harrisina americana), which is a fairly common, but kind of odd looking moth, that’s native to eastern North America. I see them fairly regularly around here since we have wild summer grapes draping quite a few of…

My garbage son got an upgrade in the design department
ID start: A reference sheet for an anthropomorphic grapeleaf-skeletonizer moth; a slender blueish black moth with orange neck and long fur on the end of its abdomen. The text on the top right corner reads: "Norel Stillbreath. Grapeleaf-skelotenizer moth. He/him." He has his wings stylised like a cloak, with the larger part of his wings drapped over the front like a preacher's cloak. The fur on his head is brushed back with one strand falling over his oval face. He's wearing pink glasses in a golden frame, with a golden chain attached to them and wrapping around the back of the moth's neck. He also has a white mask with pink lenses built into the eye holes as an alternate facewear. His left eye is pinkish orange, his right eye is white and drooping and covered in a black scar. End ID.
ID start: The same moth as in the previous picture, but without the wings, better showing off his slender frame and fluffy fur covering his body. End ID.
