Thanks! I was really torn up at first on which scene I wanted for this one, but here is "galaxy" :

Anakin could point to Eadu's moons as his next wish, and Obi-Wan would cross half the galaxy and find a way to bring them to him. But right now, Anakin's wish is that he stays. So he lets Anakin nudge him towards the altar, even as his confusion mounts. He whispers quietly, trying to avoid being overheard by the crowd. "What am I doing here? Shouldn't I be on your right, where Artoo is?" Anakin grins.

i went to sleep thinking about this and then immediately ran out of space to reply so here's a post i guess -- anakin who is all geared up to fight obi-wan when he says no, who wants to go "but you promised, we've been planning this, you said you were fine to do it!" and has taken a breath to let this whole thought out when obi-wan says that, says i've gotten used to your heartbeat being there when i fall asleep, i know it's your birthday but give me this one last gift.

and anakin just melts? goes soft and doe eyed and he loves this man more than he loves his own life (obviously) but like obi-wan never asks for much, he gives ani almost everything he asks for and wants for nothing in return but to feel anakin's heartbeat under his hands when he falls asleep (when the world could kill him, when he's most vulnerable, so he feels safe?) anakin is almost willing to stay human for a while longer just to keep being able to offer this to obi-wan

in the sappiest way this ends, anakin records his own heartbeat viva a stethoscope app and gets it put into a build-a-bear for obi-wan so he can still have it (obi-wan weeps at this in my head)

Listen. I'll list something other than The Stormlight Archive just because this is getting embarrassing. The books I used to regularly reread were: HP, Eragon and Assassin's Apprentice. (full series rereads, crossing the 10 each) 😌

5) A book on my TBR:

I have a hefty amount of books I bought and never read. Ranging from classics to cheap fantasy-- but alas, my brain is fixated on the other author who doesn't disappoint me and so I just stick to his books XD

Some of the books sitting on my ineffective 'shame you into reading' shelf are: Captive Prince, the rest of the Wolfsong series, the.... shadowhunters books... the new trilogy about Fitz which I have in hardcovers yet never read. And some... others...

6) A book I’ve put down:

One of the reasons I am avoidant of taking on new books at all is because I have a very hard time putting down books I started. I'll suffer through entire series just for the few grains of gratification in the end. Or to... spitefullfy and confidently say it sucked balls.

However... three series managed to break me.

First being GoT, I just didn't manage to get through, not even 10 chapters. A true oddedity for me, but I just couldn't.

Second being The Witcher. I managed to power through like 4-5 books? And then I just couldn't do this to myself anymore. It was so, so, so not my vibe. (even while the pc game is about my most favorite game ever.) 🤷🏻‍♀️

And lastly, although I think I did finish the entire series before deciding that if ever a new book came out, I'll never read it, was the-- god what's the name of it... the First Law Trilogy – The Blade Itself etc from joe abercrombie. What a bleak series! Oh my god!

7) A book on my wish list:

My honest wishlist is just to keep on reading Brando Sando in my slow and enjoying-it phase... Although I admit that there's a large amount of those new spicy fantasy books apparently being released that shorts recommend and older folk rant about, so I naturally do want to check it out to see what's up with that but.... in truth... I just want to keep on enjoying Brando Sando XD

8) A favorite book from childhood:

I genuinely really loved Eragon. Oh and Artemis Fowl was all fun. I also really loved Tunnel in the Sky, like really.

9) A book you would give to a friend:

ngl it'll be an unapologetic The Way of Kings with big and passionate begging session of 'please give it a try' like for real.

In case any one of you is actually interested--- (you don't have to read this part) -inhales deeply-

The Way of Kings is a truly misleading book, that might leave you with the impression that the book is all about wars and kings but that is the furthest from the truth a description and a cover and a name can go.

It has fantasy, it has deep and rich world building, elaborate magic system that is deeply embedded into the story, culture and literal every single stone of the world. There's politics, culture, introspection, deep and varied characters, each reading like the main character of the story, having unique and vibrant personality and motivations.

It is not just a book, it is a work of true and deep love for the genre and writing in general. Beautifully done, enriching and enticing.

And what's most important for people who read too many books?

Hard to predict. It managed to pull the rug from underneath my feet in the most surprising and pleasing ways. Brandon writes in a way that is not 'shock just to shock' nor 'drama just for drama'. Every single scene is true, and forward. You always have everything right in front of you, the key is that you do not know how to put it all together just yet.

That can finally give that refreshing 'I don't know where it's heading but I'm enjoying the experience" I feel I had lost over the years, being able to recognize patterns too easily and predict writing intentions.

God, what a book! It does however have a rough learning curve, being such a massive world, it takes time to ease you in. Say about at least 5 chapters in at the minimum. On a personal note, I recommend the audiobooks read by kate reading and michael kramer, literally the best experience I've ever had, listening to those two bring to life every character and accent and scene, wow!

10) A book of poetry or lyrics that you own:

Come to think of it, I don't actually own any. Ha.

11) A nonfiction book you own:

I don't haha! Looking back, it's a lie, I have a few phycology books gathering dust in various hiding spots.

17. My favorite character to voice this year was definitely Anakin. I have a lot of fun with him :3

18. The character whose voice I struggled with the most... hmm probably dooku. I shoot for snooty old British dude with him but I dunno that I always hit *any* of those adjectives, let alone all of them haha. I also don't do his voice a lot which makes it hard to stay consistent with what I'm doing.

Your first treat: sneak-peek at a WIP

Anakin had cooked all of Obi-Wan’s favorites for a week, cleaned up the whole apartment, which was no mean a small thing, considering they lived in a five bedroom one, brought down the countless books in the library and dusted the bookcases, went out for a run at the crack of dawn, washed their cat, much to the cat’s dismay — Obi-Wan had to bribe the spoiled girl with lots of snacks to get her out of their closet— wiped the dishwasher so thoroughly that at one point he was using q-tips, blew Obi-Wan daily, for which he was very grateful, don’t get him wrong, but it is now time for Anakin to stop procrastinating, no matter how delicious and convenient and sexy, and meet the crap head-on. 

“I tell you what, Anakin,” Obi-Wan grabs Anakin through his (black) sweatpants and starts to fondle him nice and firm. “You write a rough draft, and I’ll fuck you, how does that sound? Would you like that?”

“But you’ve been on a roll with your writing,” Anakin says, all earnest and dutiful. Oh, sweet thing. 

“Yes, and I finished what I wanted to write, darling, You’ve been like ten professional housekeepers lately that I barely had to lift a finger. I wrote so much, thank you. I got it all out of my system.”

Anakin nuzzles against his neck and shudders. “So, we have time?”

“If you write a draft, yes, we do have time. Lots of it. And I have many, many things I’ve been dying to do to you, Anakin. You’ve been so mean,” Obi-Wan takes Anakin’s pretty dick out of his pants and quickly pumps himself some lube from the bottle on his desk—perk of living just the two of them. 

“Oh yeah, like what?” Anakin says as if he doesn’t know exactly what Obi-Wan is talking about.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about,” Obi-Wan says right into Anakin’s ear, making his darling laugh and squirm. 

His hands lubed up and warm, Obi-Wan gently brings Anakin to full hardness, caressing and basically petting his cock. 

Second treat ^^: a new fic idea

So I've been toying with this for a while. I want a story that is not set in any of times we've been through, but in a world very much like our own, and in which Anakin is an actor. Young and rich and glamorous. But then he becomes the sole witness to murder, the only one to ever actually see the face of a highly wanted killer, and he identifies him and goes through the whole thing earnestly, even the cops are very surprised at how good he is, thought they'd have cater to the spoiled brat, you know?

But then as the trial date comes long, Anakin starts to get anonymous threat letters, and Obi-Wan, a long suffering, tired, and cynical detective hears a rumor about how the killer never worked alone, that he had a lover who was just as insane. Coincidentally, Obi-Wan has suffered a minor injury recently, and so he gets the babysitting assignment.

Que in Anakin being a brat in the safe house, Obi-Wan sighing A LOT. Also, very very sexy, daddy kink...

I've been working on that infamous 1980's fic for a little while. Despite how flippant I've been about it, it actually DOES have a storyline beyond Anakin looking cute in short-shorts and cut-off shirts with white tube socks. Obi-Wan is swallowed up by grief and depression when he loses Qui-Gon suddenly in an accident. Unable to move on and to properly heal, and feeling guilty that he can't just Get Over It, he ends up developing a bad drinking habit along with other reckless coping mechanisms. After about two years of a very bad downward spiral, he divorces Satine, quits his job as a professor of Classics at the University of Coruscant, and moves into a small town in the middle of nowhere to escape a life he doesn't feel he deserves anymore.

There he meets Anakin who is his nineteen year old virgin neighbour who tries to (and successful does) seduce Obi-Wan. What starts out as casual, lust fueled relationship between the two, slowly develops into something more - something that maybe makes Obi-Wan want to start trying again.

So basically, lots of graphic, filthy smut scenes intercut with deeply emotional scenes and an attempt at character study, haha.

Obi-Wan placed his hands above Anakin’s and stared at their joint reflection. His wrinkles seemed more stark in that moment, branches of them collecting around the corners of his eyes and along his brow. His skin was dotted with freckles and tiny little scars collected through years of living - the most pronounced being a slice across his collarbone from an irate cat he’d tried to pet when he was twelve. Every time he saw his reflection he noted more greys, flecks of them sprouting from his temples and in the corners of his beard. But his eyes told the real story - of a life lived well before it wasn’t, before it fractured and crumbled and fell apart like jagged glass. When he stared in a mirror he used to see a man who loved and cherished those around him, and who was loved in return; a man who was engaged and present in the moment; a man who lived his life as completely and fully as he possibly could, a man who wanted to be there. Now all he saw was someone who would barely be called a man; someone who took rather than gave, who retreated rather than jumped head-first into the challenges before him. He saw someone who drank because it was easier than feeling, who isolated himself because opening up to others meant having to return a love he didn’t think he deserved, and who toyed with a young man because it was easier than making an honest, truthful connection. Slowly but steadily he’d been stripped of whatever it was that made him who he was by the monster that had no face, no name, no form, save for how it made him feel. Like perhaps things weren’t worth fighting for anymore. “Obi-Wan?” Obi-Wan blinked and locked eyes with Anakin’s through the mirror. His brows were furrowed, lines cut deep across his youthful features. For a moment they matched, both in sorrow and loss, before Anakin closed his eyes and kissed Obi-Wan’s temple. “Lost you for a second,” Anakin whispered. “Are you okay?” “Just thinking…” Obi-Wan said, his voice hoarse. “Sometimes I wonder what goes on in your head…” Guilt; misery; loneliness; a desperate longing for things to be different.

Do you have a headcanon for Obi-Wan's long program music in Edge of Greatness? I know you mentioned a harp in chapter 6 but I haven't figured it out yet...

Ooh yes! So my head canon is that it’s Adam Rippon’s 2018 Olympics long program, which is a combo of “Arrival of the Birds” by Cinematic Orchestra and “O” by Coldplay. It gives me chills to watch it. He has at least 5 pounds of crystals bedazzled to his shirt and overall I just love his sass. After he retired from competitive skating, he helped coach Mariah Bell, who was one of his training mates under the same head coach. She ended up going to the Olympics last year with Adam as part of her coaching team (her “Hallelujah” program makes my cry). And while there are many former Olympians who coach other Olympians (like Brian Orser, who was the inspo for Obi-Wan being a silver medalist), I really love Adam and Mariah’s sibling energy! She posted a clip of her skating to Adam’s 2018 program a couple months ago and that’s sort of what became the inspo for that scene in the fic. I could talk for hours about figure skating lol!

52. how many unfinished ideas/stories are you working on at the same time?

oh god. um, i just put together a WIP spreadsheet and it's at like 60 or so? but on say a weekly basis, i'm probably only working on 3 or so at a time

71. how do you balance writing and life? do you ever feel overwhelmed by the amount of writing you have to do?

ahhhhhhh hahaha so like. yeah. i have too many WIPs :( it weighs on me a lot. and usually i prioritize my writing over the less exciting and less time sensitive tasks in my life :-/ not a great thing, but writing makes me happy

...when i'm not burnt out like i currently am i rely on it a lot to keep my even keeled

It was in my WIP pile for around a month before I posted it? I liked the vibe but thought it also felt like a weird fic, maybe just not something to be posted, but then came back and decided "why not? give it a go" and it almost became a one-shot before I realized just how cunning Obi-Wan was being and that it needed to be milked. :D

🍩 [Donut] What's the weirdest thing someone eats in your WIP? What's the best thing?

lmao I mean the cheese and marmite pancakes that Obi-Wan apparently made Satine was literally me at some ungodly hour of the morning going "QUICK, WHAT'S A WEIRD THING TO ADD TO PANCAKES" and boom. (I... would give this a try, though. Never had marmite but dang it, you only live once.) best? HMM does it count that Obi-Wan wants to eat Anakin up with a spoon

💯 [100] How many words does your WIP currently have? How many words do you hope it'll have when it's done? Currently 10,835! And I'm thinking it might come in around 25-30k? Not too long, not too short, just hitting the right spot. (hopefully!) 💖 this is not really much of a slow burn lmao (even if it feels like it. Anakin, the man is hitting on you SO BAD)

His thoughts drift towards missing his old family on Coruscant more often than not. What are they doing? Has Obi-Wan healed up? Is he going on missions again? What about Ahsoka? Has she been Knighted? Is she happy? And most of all— Do they ever think of him?

Went to an MLB game tonight and spent half the time being mad about the DH and the other half thinking about how much I enjoy your baseball fic and honestly that's a pretty good ratio, for me

I'm flattered that I could interrupt your justified hatred of the DH 🥰 Honestly I'm super used to it (AL team) but I did always appreciate when my guys would face an NL team because our pitchers always looked so excited to get to hit for once. Sure they were usually terrible at it but they were having so much fun!!!

Hitting might help humble Anakin in my baseball fic, except that I've written him as infuriatingly talented so he'd actually be great and Obi-Wan would have to spank him extra hard about it. Everybody wins!

10.  Do you have any art goals for next year?

Yes! To begin with: finish the Argentine players + Scaloni and other WC related drawings, hopefully finish other wips and little fandom projects I had in mind. Then, continue making stickers, prints and maybe expand to other products to sell and get to assist to more fairs too :) 

On a bigger scale, I want to paint a couple of things using oils, make a series of WC related drawings (postcards from the WC2022 but non-fandom ones) and also paint with acrylics bigger wips ideas like a painting of my grandmother, who I love and hope she’s proud of me wherever she is 

14.  What’s one lovely tag or comment you got this year?

Oh I love that there is a question for this because I had a lot of down moments in regards to my art, having little time to draw fandom things due to real life, the lack of general interaction with my art which made me not want to post the stuff I was making (because I never stop creating, I just don’t post it lol) but then someone would reblog my art and say some lovely things and it would cheer me up a lot. I really appreciate the people that take the time to reblog art, even if they don’t add anything, and deciding to add tags it’s even better! Here are some that made me grin for days (I would put more but I have to have some self control)

I don't know why I suddenly feel the need to share photos of my Anakin cosplay but I do so here you go.

I made it for Star Wars Celebration 2023 and honestly I'm pretty proud of it.

Everything is handmade by me except for the belt (it is handmade but I bought it on Etsy), trousers and boots.

More podfic wrapped asks! 5, 6, 12, and/or 27?

5. What podfic got a better response than I expected? Caveat on this answer: I didn't specifically expect these to *not* do well. Podfic just doesn't tend to get a lot of comments in general. Hmm for ones I made this year, probably Gingerbread Sampler it got three comments in two days which was awesome! Out of all time, probably Of Love and Recordings because I still get periodic comments that it made people cry, which makes my day :D (It made me cry while recording it, so I go back and re-listen occasionally if I need a refresh of what I sound like when I'm crying for an emotional scene.) 6. Favorite music or effect I used: the background music for Ghost Stories. Or honestly, the everything from Ghost Stories (it's got several sound effects too). It just turned out fantastic. Am very happy with it :DD 12. My podfic plans for next year. The main ones are to buckle down and make a big dent in Oh Where Do We Begin? (~186k left), Asylum (~136k left), and Precipice (~212k left). I could *probably* finish all three, but I wouldn't have time to work on anything else so... that is unlikely lol. Fingers crossed, I will at least finish Oh Where Do We Begin? and possibly Asylum. 27. What did I do while listening to podfic this year? If I'm just listening to listen, I do most of that at work and some while I drive. If I'm listening through to edit, I'll either be giving it my full attention if I'm adding a lot of effects, or cutting out a lot of retakes, or if there isn't a lot of editing required, I'll play Candy Crush while I listen.
