congrats to both England NT and USMNT for getting rid of a coach that was never meant for international football in the first place because they play boring football and won no merit having trophies in club football

USMNT Rant
FIRST and foremost- FIRE GREGG BERHALTER!!! Most fans have been questioning this guy and his “tactics” for 5+ YEARS, and we were called toxic by the US Soccer media and told to shut up and be grateful. People are more focused on his sneaker game, behind the back bounce passes, and the “vibes/energy” he brings to camp. This moron has not progressed this alleged “greatest generation of US men’s team players” in his entire tenure as coach.
Secondly- the players. Let me remind y’all that a lot of the leaders on this team wanted Gregg to come back after the World Cup. Pulisic, Weah, Turner, McKennie, Ream etc. These guys PUBLICLY advocated for him to come back, and have supported him when they've been asked about his future with the team. They also hold fault for how things have turned out. As a fan I have seen most of these players perform exponentially better with their club teams than they do with the national team. There is a lack of accountability in this group, and that circles back to leadership and the coach. Dest doesn’t get that red against Trinidad, Weah doesn’t get that red against Panama, players don’t get on live TV after getting grouped as the hosts and say “We’re going in the right direction” if they know there are consequences for how they play and act.
US Soccer is doing everything in their power to insure that soccer does not grow in this country, and that no one will care about this team by the time the World Cup rolls around in 2 years. And what’s worse is if  they DO fire him, the same people who brought him in the first place AND brought him back last year will be responsible for finding a new coach. We can talk about the coaches available to take over, and the players that should or should not be called in all day, but unless there's a shift in leadership all the way to the top this team will never amount to anything substantial.
Okay I'm done, bye!

You want to talk about top-level coaching? England and USMNT fans, take notes:
Deschamps taking off Giroud, bringing on Marcus Thuram and moving Mbappé into the central striker position was a master stroke. Here’s why: It protected Mbappé from the absolute pummeling he was getting on the left wing. It put someone out there who was quick as well, but also more capable of enduring the physicality. It gave them a more reliable outlet to break Morocco’s pressure and it put his most dangerous player closer to goal where he can influence the attack in a meaningful way again, which is exactly what happened in the second goal.
He kept his cool, accurately assessed the problem, looked at his bench, trusted his players, and made the necessary adjustments as soon as possible. The result is they won 2-0 and they’re going to the final. Great players rarely get very far without a great coach, and Deschamps proved his worth today. If England had him as their manager I think they could’ve won it all, I really do. Well done coach. 👏🏾🧐

Today, the US Soccer Federation finally did something to the benefit of the health of the sport in this country and they have fired Gregg Berhalter.
We all knew this was coming and now we have to hope they keep him fired this time and they hire someone who understands the sport but I won't hold out a lot of optimism. Let's see what happens

Jesse glorious rant on the state of US Soccer is soo glorious
it's not that he's having a beef with Gregg, but he does have one with the USSF. Nepotism is a toxin and the lack of consequence Gregg had along the way. Wishing they can let him loose in here but they have to make a bizarre hard cut in the end there.
