I have thoughts on this, definitely not in line with this or the replies, but I want to do more research first.

IS THIS BITCH FUCKING STUPID!? WHAT GROWN PERSON WANTS TO SPEND TIME WITH A TEEN THATS NOT THEIR KID?
I'm 19 and I can say that teens are fucking annoying and immature. What 30 year old, oh my bad...29 year old, wants to be around that?

I will be watching just to see why it’s getting hated on so much. 😂 It’s not just Marvel or superhero fatigue I’m seeing, and it’s quite concerning. I didn’t see this when Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist came out, just saying. Nor when Daredevil: Born Again dropped.

You see that man with a gun? Someone asked about it and someone said it was probably to protect from animals. My response: “Security, not just from animals but also people. May we never take for granted the simple privileges we in other places of the world enjoy. Like being able to practice football without the fear of being kidnapped by traffickers or warring factions.”

I like this quote. 🙂 He was on my radar for a reason and while Spurs as a club continues to worry me, I’m intrigued by the appointment. I’m not expecting miracles at all because this club and squad is a mess at the moment; eventually he’ll hit the lack of investment wall like every manager before him has for the last decade+. But if he pulled one off, I wouldn’t be surprised either. 😉

Wild game. Important context is that it was muggy and humid as FUCK at Audi. We also have Croix, Hal, and Casey running their first full 90’s. 10 players were on intl duty, 9 available, 8 used. All four of our CB’s were on intl duty so those rotations needed to happen but that means we utilize 3 defensive pairings (Rebe/Esme for the first time, Rebe/Tara, Kysha/Tara). Britt was an engine and doing so incredibly well and needed a sub, then Monday is cramping like crazy so she needs to come out too, and a game like this we want Rose in over Courtney to dictate attack (though great goal Court) so she’s subbed on.
Courage double Spirit xG (2.94-1.43) and have 9 SOT to our 5 and all of their 9 were dangerously placed in the box, 3 of them pretty directly in the mouth of goal.
Huge game from Hal, who had some great clearances. Casey was Casey and served a ball on a fucking DIME to Britt. Aubrey had that first mixup and then was back to her brick wall self with great saves. I was somewhat shocked that we didn’t see Jaedyn earlier when Sanchez came out, that felt like a move that should’ve been made.
Hoping that everyone came out of it okay with Cramp FC being in full force, especially Croix, who had a scary moment at the end. Rn hearing that it’s calf cramp which is a lot better than what it looked like, but until she’s not on our AR next week idk if I’m believing it.
*ALSO outdrew DCU despite being under a tornado watch and nasty weather predictions. Both weekends where the Spirit and DCU have both played at home the Spirit has had the bigger crowd.

Pep Lijnders and James French from Liverpool to City. These aren’t players…they’re COACHES who both served under Klopp. I love this so much, you don’t even know. 🙌🏾 If I were Liverpool fans, I’d be more concerned about this than Trent Alexander Arnold leaving. City is serious.

I like Thomas Frank, but this Spurs squad can’t do what he wants consistently. In Frank you essentially get Nuno with a moderate splash of De Zerbi; his Brentford team can definitely play at times. But managing Mbeumo isn’t the same as managing Maddison and the squad needs significant strengthening, which Levy won’t invest in. To me, this is basically going to make Spurs the rich man’s Brentford, and I don’t see them finishing higher than 6th any time soon because of the turnover they’ll need or have in the next year or so.
De Zerbi is no different than Ange and if you think otherwise, you haven’t been paying attention. Iraola would’ve been a better choice if you’re content with a balanced and entertaining playing style that should see you qualify for the Conference League, maybe Europa League. But this club could bring in Ancelotti and it would change nothing because, as I’ve said multiple times, the owner is more content with looking like a big club than BEING a big club.

United sacked a manager that won a trophy and finished WAY lower than they did the previous season. In fact, I don’t think I can remember a Premier League club sacking a manager after they won silverware and it going well for them. Chelsea did it a couple of times under Abramovich and it always left them worse off the following season. Sometimes they floundered for years trying to stabilize themselves and recapture their lost momentum. But do you Spurs, I’d love to see who you could possibly bring in now. The manager isn’t the problem at United or Spurs, it’s the clubs’ owners.
I also think fans need to start realizing that in sports, momentum doesn’t always run in a straight line to the top. It was a terrible league campaign, obviously, but you finally won another trophy and qualified for the Champions League. Now you’re going to waste some of your qualification money paying off Ange and his staff while trying to obtain another manager, just like United did. Any manager worth their salt is going to cost a lot because the good managers are pretty settled right now and your club is a dumpster fire. This is penny wise, pound foolish for me.

Easily the best future bet I wish I made, probably could’ve made a couple thousand from $100. First game of the season I told a friend that an organization doesn’t bring in a player like Karl Anthony Towns to not win the championship, let alone to lose the conference finals…to their bitter rivals…after beating the number one seed. That season opener loss to the Celtics gave anyone paying attention the blueprint to beat them in the playoffs and someone in Indiana was paying attention; well done coaches. This team was good enough to beat the Pacers, the coach was not. They’ve been patient, they built him a quality team, and this is what he did with it…again. THIS is when you sack a coach, after the rebuild is complete and they still can’t do better.
Credit to him for the wins and winning seasons, the great memories I’m sure Knick fans will always remember. But it’s time to let him go while they still have such a quality roster and before players start abandoning the project.

My response to this video about PSG and the Qatari ownership, bringing up the sports washing issue:
“So where was this when the Glazers took over United sir, have you seen them in action lately? I thought about this before they won and I choose to give credit where it’s due, because there are clubs who don’t have state owners and have similar or other forms of controversy following them around like a shadow. Let’s not act like women are treated so well across all of Europe, especially in sports. There are clubs across Europe with way less money whose fan bases subject opponent players and fans to horrific racial abuse, sometimes even to their own players. There are also successful clubs and even entire countries in the region with the same problem. You want to talk about sports washing, have a look at the business history of United, Chelsea, and I bet you could find some other interesting reads across Europe’s biggest clubs. Can’t be crying “dirty” when your country is rolling in the same mud. Get Wolves to apply for a promotion license for their women’s team then maybe try this again.”

Youre right, women’s sports isn’t like men’s sports. This would never happen in the men’s game. Absolute disgrace. 🤬
