Wyatt quietly walked out of his room being mindful to shut his door very quietly and he slowly walked to the room next to his and opened the door to Greyson’s room and closing the door behind him.

It was late at night and everyone else was sleeping but Wyatt had so much energy and was restless from the game he played a few hours ago.

He tried to sleep for the past hour, just tossing and turning until admitting defeat and got out of bed heading to Greyson’s room.

Wyatt has never been more thankful for a person than he is for Greyson, from the moment he met Greyson, Greyson has taken care of Wyatt and truly took him under his wing and showed him the NHL world.

Wyatt has always and will always think Greyson Hughes is absolutely beautiful and he is not ashamed to admit Greyson was the person Wyatt use to look up all the time on instagram and was the boy who made Wyatt realize he likes guys.

Wyatt and Greyson both lived in Toronto during the same time and played at the same arena for many years but being different ages they never ended up crossing paths.

But meeting Greyson and becoming roommates and teammates and eventually friends, Wyatt grew to care even more for Greyson, more than just being attracted to him.

And Wyatt knew the second Greyson smiled at him that Greyson would end up capturing his heart and Greyson has, and Wyatt is more than okay with that.

“Ollie.” Wyatt softly whispered as he leaned over a sleeping Greyson, Wyatt felt a pinch of guilt for trying to wake up Greyson when he is peacefully sleeping.

Wyatt wants to just slide into Greyson’s bed and curl up to him but Wyatt doesn’t have permission to do so and does not want to push Greyson and make him uncomfortable.

Greyson’s eyes fluttered open squinting at Wyatt, “Wy?” Greyson sleepily mumbled sounding confused.

Wyatt cleared his throat softly trying to ignore the thoughts that ran to his head from Greyson’s voice, “Can i sleep next to you?” Wyatt hopefully whispered asking.

Greyson hummed his eyes shutting close once more and he lifted his arm up making his blanket lift and Wyatt beam before he slid into the spot next to Greyson.

Wyatt did not immediately curl up to Greyson even if he wished too.

“Did you come in here to lay all the way over there.” Greyson teasingly mumbled his eyes never once opening but he could feel how far away Wyatt was from him.

Wyatt flushed a soft pink but eagerly scooted closer to Greyson but apparently not enough because Greyson threw his arm over Wyatt’s waist and pulled his as close as possible and burrowed his face into Wyatt’s soft hair.

Wyatt made a suprised squeak but all but melted into Greyson’s protecting arms.

Wyatt toon a few deep breaths trying to find words to get his thoughts out.

“Sssh, we can talk in the morning, sleep now.” Greyson softly mumbled rubbing Wyatt’s back gently making him relax more and more into his arms.

Wyatt nodded and felt himself fall into a deep sleep in Greyson’s arms.

December 2, 2022

Greyson’s nose twitched as he felt something brush his nose, Greyson squinted his eyes open and remember Wyatt had joined him late last night.

Greyson nudged his nose against Wyatt’s hair letting out a soft fond sigh.

Greyson has always been a good sleeper but having Wyatt in arms made his sleep last night become the best sleep he has ever had and he knows it’s all because of Wyatt.

Greyson wasn’t scared to admit he has feelings for Wyatt and they have been slowly growing over the last few months, Greyson has never met someone who he has felt so comfortable with so fast.

He knows Wyatt feels something for him back, it is obvious by the way he flushes pink often because of Greyson and the way Wyatt stares at him with heart eyes.

Greyson has kinda just let their friendship develop not pushing that they both have feelings for each other and he has been more than content to just wait for Wyatt and kinda let him settle into his new life but Greyson has been thinking about confessing soon and then Wyatt came into his bed last night kidna giving him his sign he should confess.

Wyatt shuffled around nuzzling his head more against Greyson as he slowly started to wake up.

Wyatt blinked sleepily feeling a hand scratching his back and being held, He hummed happily and then realized it was Greyson holding him and smiled.

“Morning.” Greyson softly mumbled noticing Wyatt waking up.

“Morning.” Wyatt mumbled sleepily but happily, how could he not be happy by waking up in the arms of the boy he has been crushing on for years.

Wyatt just laid in Greyson’s arms for a good while enjoying the comforting touch and silence between them but he eventually lifted his head up resting his chin on Greyson’s chest

“Sorry about coming in here last night.” Wyatt sheepishly apologized.

Greyson shook his head, “It’s okay, i don’t mind.” Greyson knew that Wyatt has a hard time sleeping after being wired up from a game.

Wyatt smiled pleased and laid his head back down resting his cheek on Greyson’s chest still staring up at him.

Greyson tentatively brought his hand up to Wyatt’s messy hair messing with his little strands.

Greyson and Wyatt just held eye contact as Greyson played with Wyatt’s hair.

Greyson didn’t realize he was slowly leaning in as he stared at Wyatt until their noses bumped each other.

Greyson eyes flickered between Wyatt’s eyes and lips making sure there was no hesitation and took a deep breath before pressing their lips together.

Wyatt inhaled sharply, he had thought maybe they were about to kiss but having Greyson actually kiss him shocked him.

Wyatt desperately kissed him back bringing his hands up to hold Greyson’s face in his hands.

“Woah.” Wyatt mumbled in awe panting as they pulled away from each other.

Greyson smiled and rubbed his nose again Wyatt’s cheek.

“Can we do that again?“ Wyatt looked up at him nervously, he wasn’t sure what he would do if he never got to kiss Greyson again, he’s been waiting long enough.

“Whenver you want love.” Greyson softly mumbled rubbing Wyatt’s cheek reassuring.

“As your boyfriend?” Wyatt added hopefully happily leaning into Greyson’s soft touch.

“Yes. You’re stuck with me.” Greyson softly teased making Wyatt beam happily.

Greyson Oliver Hughes was born May 14, 2003 the same day as his brother Jack and nine months after his brother Luke. Greyson was born a few weeks earlier and was a surprise to his parents when they found out Ellen was pregnant.

Greyson has always been very quiet and very independent from a young age and likes to spend his time being alone and isn’t the biggest with hanging out with people unless it’s his brothers.

Of course Greyson followed in his families footsteps and started skating since he could walk, Luke and Greyson were both lucky as they are close enough in age they got to always play on the same teams growing up.

Greyson was drafted to the Dallas stars and when he joined the team he fit right in better than he has ever with any past team he’s been on, he’s found a family in the Stars.

Greyson was offered to stay with the Pavelski family and he was going to decline but Joe convinced him and it truthfully was the best decision Greyson could’ve of made, he may like his his own space but being with them has been surprisingly perfect and he really enjoyed finding another family in Dallas.

Greyson never really had a friends growing up that were his friends first, he’s made good friendships but they were always his brothers friends first. When he met Jake the two instantly clicked and became friends incredibly fast, Greyson considers Jake his best friend.

Greyson has always been a very big reader and almost always has a book on him and if not he has one on his phone, you can almost always find him reading and usually with his noise canceling headphones on.

Wyatt very quickly realized what he felt for Greyson once he met him and Wyatt fell hard really fast and took to following Greyson around like a little duckling making everyone quickly realize Wyatt’s feelings for Greyson.

Greyson just seems to have a way with kids and more often than not he is the one one of his teammates calls to baby sit, usually it’s a kid he’s babysitting but sometimes he dog sits too.

Greyson has always been use to being the youngest of his siblings and when he met Nate it was different to be the older one and becoming someone Nate looks up too, Greyson really enjoys spending his free time with Nate and considers him his little brother.

October 10, 2022

Greyson has lived with Pavelski family for his first season in the NHL and he was planning on finding his own place for his second season but they told him to stay as long as he wanted because they had more than enough space and all three of them love having Greyson live with them.

He knew Joe and Sarah were asked to host the new player as well, Wyatt Johnston and they told him that they accepted so Wyatt was now going to be staying in the room next to his.

Greyson had seen him during training camp and Wyatt was on Greyson and Jamie’s line quite a lot during drills but Greyson hasn’t spoke to Wyatt or introduced himself yet but he did know Wyatt was sticking around for a bit and had made the team.

Greyson was sitting on the couch in the living room reading his book as Nate sat next to him playing videos games. Greyson was watching Nate as Sarah and Joe went to pick up Wyatt.

Greyson heard the door being unblocked and the dogs both quickly got up running to the front door and Greyson knew Sarah and Joe were home with Wyatt.

“Grey! Nate!” Sarah called out softly as they walked into their house with Wyatt and all of his stuff.

Greyson shut his book standing up, “Come on Naters.” Greyson quietly spoke ruffling Nate’s hair as he walked by making Nate pause his game and follow Greyson.

“Johnny this our son Nate and this is Greyson.” Joe proudly introduced his boys to Wyatt.

Wyatt smiled softly at Nate and turned his attention to Greyson, who has been distracting Wyatt a lot over the past few weeks, Wyatt didn’t know what it was but Greyson caught his attention like a magnet and Wyatt found it hard not to be distracted by him.

“Hi.” Wyatt softly spoke to the two but looking right at Greyson.

“Hi!” Nate brightly beamed back looking very exicted as he looked at Wyatt, he was looking forward to another boy living in his house.

“Grey would you show Wyatt his room?” Sarah requested softly and Greyson nodded in reply and grabbed the bags Joe was holding and gestured for Wyatt to follow him.

The Pavelski house was actually perfect for having guest because Sarah, Joe and Nate’s bedrooms are on side of the house and on other side of the house their is a wing of a few guest bedrooms, Where Greyson stays in one and now Wyatt will too.

Wyatt didn’t feel awkward that they didn’t make any conversation as they walked through the house, he was really just surprised how comfortable the silence was between them.

Greyson opened the door to Wyatt’s room and sat the bags down by the bed, “The bathrooms there and the closet is there.” Greyson spoke as he pointed to the other doors in the room, “And my room is right next to yours if you need anything.” Greyson nodded and started walking out.

“Thank you.” Wyatt called out making Greyson pause and turn towards and gave him a nod before he continue his walk out of Wyatt’s room gently closing the door behind him.

Wyatt let out a long sigh as he plopped down onto his new bed, he had a feeling he was going to get even more distracted by Greyson now.

November 8, 2022

It was an unspoken rule that no one was to sit next to Greyson on flights, it was fine if it was a bus but not on an airplane.

Greyson never let anyone ever sit with him and the team quickly realized Greyson liked his own space and his own quiet time before and after games, especially with the fact the teams plane has more than enough for Greyson to sit alone if he wished.

Which is why it was such a shock when Greyson let someone next to him on the plane ride home.

The Stars have been on a few day road trip far from Dallas and had just played their final game for the road trip against the Winnipeg Jets and they lost 1-5 making the plane quieter than usally.

Wyatt slowly trudged up stairs of the plane, he was extremely exhausted and just wanted to back home and get into bed, he had taken quite a few hits over the last few games and his body was just exhausted and uncomfortable.

Wyatt tried not to groan as he realized he usually sits with Ty on fights and usually Wyatt loves that but he’s exhausted and just wants to sleep and not talk and he knows Ty will want to talk all about the game they just played.

Wyatt bit his lip hoping this idea would work and he slowly walked through the plane and found Greyson sitting in a row on the aisle seat.

“Ollie?” Wyatt softly called out noticing Greyson was going through his bag getting his things.

Greyson looked up in surpise hearing a name only Wyatt is allowed to call him and saw an exhausted Wyatt standing there looking hopeful.

“Could i?” Wyatt hopefully asked him, Wyatt knew that Greyson hated sitting with anyone on the flights but honestly Wyatt couldn’t stand the idea of sitting next to Ty on the flight home and knew he would get peace and quiet with Greyson and maybe he also just wanted to sit next to Greyson.

Greyson narrowed his eyes thoughtfully, It was true he did not like sitting with anyone on flights just because he needed his own space but he never felt he needed his own space near Wyatt so he nodded and moved his legs so Wyatt could walk in.

Wyatt’s tired face lite up in beautiful smile that made Greyson want to say yes to everything to Wyatt if he got to see that smile directed at him once again.

Wyatt scooted in to the row and plopped down on the window seat and smiled softly, it as perfect because Wyatt barely ever got the window seat but it was his favorite and he noticed Greyson alwyss sat on the aisle to stretch his long legs.

“Thank you.” Wyatt mumbled quietly making Greyson nod, Wyatt just threw his bag on the floor and slipped his shoes on and grabbed a blanket out of his bag covering him self after he buckled his seat belt.

Wyatt brought his legs up and curled up trying to find a comfortable spot to lay.

Greyson looked over from his book and saw Wyatt shuffling around trying to find a spot, Greyson titled his head thinking before deciding and he pulled up the arm rest between them and that got Wyatt’s attention.

Greyson gestured to his lap and Wyatt’s eyes widen in shock and Greyson slowly nodded making Wyatt slowly lay his head onto Greyson’s lap and letting out a sigh of relief how comfortable it was.

Greyson pulled the blanket up more onto Wyatt’s shoulder making sure it covered Wyatt completely before he picked his book back up.

Greyson let out a quiet sigh still confused how Wyatt wormed his way into his heart so face and makes him so soft, Greyson knows he has feelings for Wyatt he’s not obvious for what he feels and he knows Wyatt feels something back but he’s taking it slow as there is no rush.

Greyson is enjoying learning more and more about to Wyatt and becoming better friends before he tells Wyatt what he feels.

Jake looked over to the aisle across from him as he always sits across from Greyson and his mouth dropped in shock as he saw the scene in front of him, Greyson was willingly sitting next to someone on the plane and Wyatt is laying on Greyson, something that Greyson does not let anyone ever do.

“What?” Jason grunted feeling Jake smack his arm and he turned his head seeing what Jake is looking at and his mouth dropped in shock as well, “Holy shit.” Jason quietly cursed looking at the scene in front of him.

“Right.” Jake mumbled back still in shock.

Joe walked down the plane looking for a seat and he paused as he saw Greyson sitting in a row but the surprising thing was Wyatt laying on Greyson already fast asleep.

Joe slowly nodded and turned his head seeing Jason and Jake looking just as shocked.

Jamie frowned as Joe stopped walking and looked over Joe’s shoulder looking at what Joe is staring at and raised an eyebrow at the scene in front of him.

Jamie couldn’t say he was surprised seeing the two that close but it was still a sweet site to see.

Greyson felt eyes on him and looked up seeing a very shocked Jake, Jason, Joe and Jamie, “What?” Greyson grumbled not liking all of their stares on him.

“Nothing nothing.” Joe shook his head snapping out of his shook and contained walking but not before patting Greyson’s shoulder and Jamie followed close behind him.

“Nothing!” Jason squeaked and turned back around his seat pretending to focus on his phone.

Greyson just shook his head at them having felt them staring, he was aware they are all surprised he was letting someone sit next to him but he ignored them and went back to reading his book.

October 18, 2022

Greyson was sitting in his window nook reading a book and enjoying a rare off day.

Wyatt and Greyson were the only ones home as Joe and Sarah took Nate to school and were spending the rest of the day together out of the house.

Greyson heard a knock on his door and called out, “Come in.” He didn’t look up from his book as he knew only Wyatt was home.

Wyatt opened Greyson’s bedroom door and looked around the room slowly having not seen it yet.

“Hi Greyson.” Wyatt pipped up smiling as he walked over towards Greyson.

“Hello.” Greyson spoke softly back still looking as his book but could feel Wyatt standing next to him so he moved his feet and patted the spot next to him. Greyson fiddled with his ring as he focused back on the words on the page.

Wyatt perked up and sat down next to Greyson and curled up in a little ball looking out the window.

Greyson’s lips quirked up appreciating that Wyatt let them stay in comfortable silence.

Greyson has picked up quickly that Wyatt can yap like no other especially when he is around Ty and Greyson thought it would annoy him as he enjoys silence and being quiet but he hasn’t found himself minding when Wyatt yaps and he really appreciates that Wyatt can also be quiet around him giving him silence.

Greyson closed his book having finished it and looked up realizing Wyatt has been here the entire time and didn’t leave yet, Greyson noticed Wyatt has been sitting with him for a few hours already.

Wyatt had his head against the window and he was fast asleep with his mouth just slightly open.

Greyson’s face softened with fondness, fondness that was only growing more and more for the rookie as he continued to get closer to Wyatt.

Greyson leaned over not risking getting up and waking up Wyatt, as he knows how important is to sleep as much as possible as rookie. Greyson grabbed a blanket and gently covered Wyatt.

He grabbed his phone and started going on it as Wyatt slept there peacefully.

It was the start of Wyatt always joining Greyson in his room with him. Joe, Sarah and Nate would start looking for Wyatt in Greyson’s room before his own.

Wyatt became one of the only people that is not Greyson’s family that Greyson willing spends most of his time with, even Greyson’s alone time started being with Wyatt too.

Wyatt was sitting in Greyson’s bay window with Greyson, something that happens very often now.

“What’s your middle name?” Wyatt broke the silence between them after a little while, he was just scrolling on his phone with headphones and Greyson was reading a new book.

Wyatt has been randomly asking questions the past few weeks he has know Greyson as he wants to learn everything about Greyson, the littlest things to the biggest things.

Greyson looked up from his book looking at Wyatt’s curious eyes, “Oliver.” Greyson answered fiddling with his ring.

“Oliver.” Wyatt repeated it softly, “Ollie.” He smiled sweetly finding a nickname for Greyson.

“No one calls me that.” Greyson shook his head. His friends have tried but he has always hated the nickname but for some reason it did not sound bad coming from Wyatt.

“Someone does now.” Wyatt softly spoke back his smile was extremely soft as he maintained eye contact with Greyson.

Greyson looked back down at his book trying to hide his pleased smiled, still confused why Wyatt makes him so soft.

“What’s your middle name?” Greyson asked trying to ignore all of the confusing thoughts going through his head.

“Henry.” Wyatt answered watching Greyson and saw him playing with the ring that is always on Greyson’s finger.

“Henry is a good nickname.” Greyson snipped back not looking up from his book but a smile pulling at his lips once again.

Wyatt smiled softly in response.

noticing

It was noticed very very quickly that once Wyatt officially met Greyson that Wyatt started following Greyson around like a little duckling.

From them driving together everywhere, their stalls ended up next to each other, always warming up together for practices and games, Wyatt yapping Greyson’s ear off and Greyson not caring unlike how he would he be annoyed if it was anyone else, Wyatt always stealing food off Greyson’s plate and Greyson not stopping him.

Tyler started calling Wyatt little duck just for the fact he literally follows Greyson everywhere.

Greyson walked into the locker room for early morning practice with Wyatt on his heels yapping about something and Greyson nodding along.

The two headed to their stalls next to each other and started getting ready for practice and were completely focused on only each other.

Joe smiled softly at the two and he’s noticed since Wyatt has joined the team he has seen Greyson a lot more happy and he knows how much time the two spend together now, he’s glad they have each other.

Jamie smiled proudly looking at Greyson and Wyatt and was extremely glad they have became so close and such good friends already and Jamie could tell they cared for each other quite a lot.

Greyson looked up from tying his skates to smile softly at Wyatt and he didn’t notice the eyes of his best friend, Jake smiled looking at his best friend look at Wyatt.

Jake could tell Greyson cared a lot about Wyatt, more than Greyson usually cares about people especially so quickly. It warms Jake’s heart to see Greyson so comfortable with someone else and he couldn’t wait to continue to watch Greyson and Wyatt’s relationship grow and develop more.

What's a common thing that greyson and Wyatt fight about

hm i would say fights between greyson and wyatt are very very rare, greyson may seem to be irritated at every one but he has so much patience for wyatt he truly doesn’t get mad at wyatt and wyatt just isn’t a person who gets mad very often and he’s so in love with greyson that it’s hard to even be mad at him.

but the rare times they fight it would be if one of them was hurt and trying to keep playing or sick and not resting and the other one is just worried for their boyfriend

Dose Greyson have any pet peeves

he does!

he can’t stand being in to loud of areas for a long time, like he can handle it as long as after he can go alone and get some quiet or put his headphones on (idk if that counts as a pet peeve!)

does not like loud chewers it grosses him out

he’s very judgy about other peoples tape jobs and doesn’t like when people are using like two whole rolls on their stick
