           AN  ETERNITY  of  silence  passed  between  beech  and  stone.  a  bountiful  wood  with  air  too-thick  to  breathe.  a  mist  that  disguised  the  hazy  symbols  that  lead  them  through  the  labyrinth;  a  place  for  monsters  to  turn  and  call  HOME.           and  he  is  the  WIND,  soundless  and  invisible  while  moving  through  the  trees.   he  left  almost  as  quickly  as  he  came,  a  mere  silhouette  among  the  tall  grass  and  fern.  none  would  bother  him   here.  he  who  ruled  over  the  BEASTS  far  to  the  southwest,  in  a  grove  long  forgotten  by  time.

     he,  sesshomaru,  glanced  about  the  unending  thicket,  the  coos  of  wild  foxes  alerting  him  to  a  TRESPASSER  near  by.  one  who  possessed  immense  power,  a  pure  power;  one  that  radiated  into  his  pointed  ears  like  a  group  of  ringing  bells.  it  was  in  the  ruins  he  had  followed  it;  a  temple  left  DILAPIDATED  and  destroyed  by  the  elements,  overgrown  and  green  from  years  of  neglect.  two  stone  guardians  stood  watch  over  the  remnants,  over  the  dias  and  the  pedestal,  and  the  spirits  of  the  greedy  day  still  swayed  there  at  dusk.  

  the  lord  of  the  west  stood  out  in  the  open  field,  glancing  over  fallen  pillars  and  broken  tiles  of  ancient  hylian  writing.  below  his  feet  was  the  etching  of  the  power  of  antiquity;  no  color  to  its  veins.   mere  stone.  a  MEMORY.          and  to  his  back  was  the  source  of  that  irritation.  the  ringing  that  had  drawn  him  like  a  moth  to  the  flame.  a  WOMAN  who  could  be  called  REGALIA  herself,  radiant  and  ethereal  in  every  sense.  mortal,  but  only  just.  his  silence  did  not  end,  topaz  gaze  finding  her  whilst  too  content  to  STARE.

POWERLESS, that was how Mccree felt as the Queen unloaded her heavy, emotional catharsis upon his willing ear.  There was nothing that Jesse felt he could do that could fill the void which had been created from a lifetime of EXPECTATIONS.  How could he?  The cowboy was literally from another world and besides that, could never hope to comprehend the burden someone in her position must have shouldered on a daily basis.  Her listing of travails was extensive from the loss of many of her friends to the abandonment of any semblance of a normal life to setting aside her conscience in EXECUTING a man of a crime…when beyond all reasonable doubt wasn’t quite established.  Even for an outlaw like Jesse Mccree, justice should always be thorough in its judgment.

Words proved impossible to come by so Jesse settled for holding the Queen’s hand, drawing circles on her palm, almost as if there were incantations imprinted on her skin to somehow ALLEVIATE the pain. Believe it or not, it was still a rather bold gesture for him to initiate the touch considering their status in Hyrule.  His forehead leaned against hers, trying to provide structure should she utterly collapse on him.  What can he say…..what should he say?  Whispering sweet nothings into her ear like a lover would....would likely prove ineffective.

The solution came when Mccree drew her closer when the cowboy began to hear the pounding of drums performed by Zelda’s heart.  From there, his gaze rose to meet hers, desperate watery gaze and with his human hand lifted her chin up so her eyes could not escape his DOTING stare.

wishlist: au where when link is older, like in his late twenties, he settles to a point where travel is no longer his only desire, instead finding stability and peace through discipline, as the hero’s shade instructed him long ago. in order to continue his studies in sword forms, he becomes a member / captain of zelda’s queensguard, spending his days constantly at her side as a guard, an adviser, and most of all a friend. the years make him more jaded and he learns to control his fear of public appearances, giving him an intimidating appearance befitting the captain of the queensguard, very much like a grizzled old wolf, but in private he’s still just as goofy as he always was. if anything, he’s actually more relaxed, always wearing a lazy, sleepy smile when he’s not in public.

his queensguard uniform is based on the hero garb, but in a silvery white, though for formal appearances he still wears the hero garb. he has gold adorned paldrons, and gold frames he can snap onto his gauntlets, belt, and boots. around his shoulders and draped to his left is a thick, deep green cloak, with black wolf pelt along the top, the wolf’s head in a snarl over his left shoulder. he keeps a bastard blade clipped to his belt at all times; while the sheath is decorative, the sword itself is as real as it gets, and is entirely prepared for combat. so, he looks ceremonial, but he’s actually ready for war at all times.

sometimes he takes his wolf form to sleep at the foot of zelda’s bed so he can keep her company when she has tough days. other times, when there are rumors of a threat on hyrule castle, he sleeps leaning back against a chair in her room, his hat pulled down over his eyes and snoring like a small thundercloud.

so this is something that i was entertaining the idea of for quite a long time and it is only with an inquire from @grishildr that firmly solidified it:

lunafreya has the gift of prophecy. random visions come to her. typically at night, i.e. the niflheim invasion, her own imminent death, noctis sacrificing himself, etc. just to provide some examples. hence how she was aware that both she and noctis will have to die in order for the darkness to be vanquished & the light to return.

listen, i try not to be cute. i also try not to be super good at graphics because i’m not but what i do try is to be the best possible human being to everyone on my dash and appreciate them regardless of how long they’ve been with me or not. recently, i’ve reached 300+ followers on this blog. why ? i have no clue -- i’m the shitlord of posting, i talk about my feelings and my ships like it’s going out of style ( also cause i’m hella edgy ) and yet still this community has treated me with nothing but kindness. and you want to know why  ? because you are all astounding writers, friends, and human beings ( i think, a little iffy on that last one ) -- so please ignore my half assed graphic that i made within five minutes time and a second glass of wine and please understand that: i adore you, i adore being here, i adore all the things that i have seen on the dash -- watching everyone be happy, laugh, write stupid jokes and just generally get along means so much to me. i come from such vile fandoms ( a few of you can attest to the nature of the DARP ) and just to see everyone just generally: HEY UR RAD is wonderfully refreshing in a way that just makes my heart throb.     for all my friends, old and new  -- for those that have been with me since the beginning of my journey ( holla @ u mass effect & borderlands ) to those that have recently, and probably regrettably tuned it.
