I can’t believe I finally managed to work out the first part of Toramaru’s HCs. Thanks @inazuma-hpau for creating this wonderful AU and letting me write down the muses (what I’m still afraid to bring out though, ahaha). This is a half-blood!toramaru, gryffindor!toramaru and gryffindor!breaktrio version.
I hope you enjoy it.
“The boy who flew while standing” HDC’s Pt. 1
Toramaru is a half-blood born to a wizard father and muggle mother. His mother soon fell ill with a decease incurable by muggle medicine. His father, as a potioneer and Healer sought out to invent a potion that would cure her. It was a very advanced and complex potion and he had to resort to muggle science to complete it. He never got to see the fruit of his work, however, because just as he was about complete the final version, the cauldron exploded, firing up the whole place.
The young Toramaru was left alone with his sick mother. She moved from their neighborhood into a muggle one and raised Toramaru as a normal child. It was after his 11th birthday that he finally received a letter from Hogwarts – claiming that he was a wizard. His mother initially wanted to keep it a secret, having already put the wizarding world to past, and hid the letters from her son. She finally gave up after the tenth letter, as there seemed to be no end to them.
Toramaru go enthusiastic by the news. He was most excited about the fact that he could try flying on a broomstick. He had always wanted to try it since reading about the witches who flew on their brooms during Halloween. His only concern was that he would be leaving his mother alone. It was a tough decision for both of them, but Tae assured him that there were people who could take after her, while Toramaru promised to visit her during every vacation they had.
Toramaru’s mother contacted Nashimoto Nonomi’s family (who the surprised of the sudden contact after all the years) and they agreed to help Toramaru everything he needed for the up-coming year. They took Toramaru to Diagon Alley and even made sure that he arrived at the Platform 9 ¾ on time. Toramaru had wanted to buy himself a broomstick and a pet (a cat or kneazle) but couldn’t afford them.
His first-year uniform is pretty much a hand-me-down from Nashimoto family. Tae presented Toramaru with a box, which he found out was a wand. She told she had been keeping it by her all the years – it was his father’s old wand.
Toramaru had never heard of the houses before Nonomi’s short brief. At that time, he also learned that his father was a Gryffindor and hoped to be placed there. He didn’t want to become a Slytherin, because they apparently were very evil people.
One day during their flying lessons (which Toramaru was super excited about) a few Slytherin’s picked a fight with him for being an oblivious half-blood/mud-blood. They dared him fly on the broom while standing. Being a prideful Gryffindor Toramaru took up the challenge and before the Professor understood what was going on, he was already hovering a few meters off the ground while standing on the broomstick. He even managed to fly with it, but soon lost his balance and almost fell. Thanks to his quick reactions and agility he managed to catch hold of the broomstick before falling on the ground.
Due to the incident, Toramaru was nicknamed “The boy who flew while standing.”
The rumors of the boy who flew while standing reached the ears of the whole student body and the third year break!trio decided to do some scouting. Once they became clear of Toramaru’s abilities they informed the Captain and Head of House of their discovery, who approached Toramaru with the suggestion for him to join the Quidditch team. Toramaru accepted it with the excitement of being able to fly all day long, just like the witches from the books.
On the day, he went to watch the practice for the first time, he saw Gouenji doing chaser practice and was mesmerized. He wanted to become just like him!
Toramaru was confused during the first time he received an owl letter from his mother, but ever since they started to write to each other on a weekly basics. (they both wanted to do it daily, but knew that they’d only worn themselves out if they were to do it).
Ever since from his first year, Toramaru was often found in garden and yard being surrounded by cats. He fed the stray cats, but sometimes even pets gathered to get a share of the food. Due to this habit, his cloak and clothes were constantly covered in cat fur.
While Toramaru was a welcomed addition to the team, some (especially the 5-7th graders) despised him. They found him as a threat to their starting positions and he was often the target of their negative attention. This took a huge toll on Toramaru’s confidence and the boy started to act more reserved during practice.
Toramaru played during one game on his first year and scored zero goals. He kept passing the Quaffle to Gouenji and the other Chaser. He had the chance to play more games on the second year but still restrained himself from scoring goals. He scored the total of three goals that year.
Because first years were not allowed their own brooms, Kidou lent one of his brooms to Toramaru during practice and matches.
This became an essay... and I pretty much only covered his first and second years here, haha. I’m very well aware that his story sounds similar to Harry - since Toramaru is also a half-blood who was brought up not knowing he’s a wizard. Then there’s also matter with his flying lessons, but how else could I get him join the team on his first year? He needs to show is abilities, right?
The reference to Toramaru joining the team as a first year is because he’s considered “to be too young to be part of the team” in IE too: if it was the Football Frontier tournament, he couldn’t be participating.
There was no information whether potions were dangerous enough to blow up, which is why muggle science is added in.
While writing this, I came to wonder: Have you decided the Head of Houses yet? I kind of think Kudou would work for Ravenclaws while Hitomiko for Gryffindors - but I have not done any analysing on them so I can be off mark. Kageyama is probably a Slytherin?
I don’t know when Endou becomes a captain, but I feel like him as captain of his third year is very unlikely - seeing that there’s four grades above him... unless none of them plays Quidditch, of course.
I wish life would be nice on him, but getting on the team while on first year, Toramaru is asking to get bullied. Especially since he’s playing a position with multiple players on the team - not sole Keeper or Seeker. This is also refence to IE where he rather passed ball to someone than scored the goal by himself. Don’t worry, he’ll eventually overcome this habit.
As a Finn, I personally assosiate flying witches with Easter rather than Halloween. But I guess, that’s not the case in other parts of the world, haha.
I had trouble deciding between “a boy who stood while flying” or “a boy who flew while standing”. Eventually, I thought the latter one conveys the meaning better.
Toramaru is a precious child, who needs to be protected. First, I still wonder what am I doing!? Second, I guess I’ll go continue this.

Inazuma Eleven ☆ Harry Potter AU  |  https://inazuma-hpau.tumblr.com/
↳ A new side project in which sakka boys are qudditch boys in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
I was supposed to do adult things today, but a new project happened instead. *cough*
Inazuma Eleven Hogwarts Headcanons:
Endou Mamoru
Endou as an excited first year, running around on the train to Hogwarts trying to make new friends with all the first years and asking who is into quidditch.
“KUIDICCHI YAROZE” to just about anyone who says they enjoy quidditch.
Endou being sorted into Hufflepuff just like his grandfather, Endou Daisuke.
The Hufflepuff quidditch team not having won a Quidditch cup since his grandfather played for the team.
The Hufflepuff team always at a constant loss of quidditch players and Endou having to form a team from scratch when all the seventh years leave in his third year.
Endou charming quaffles as Keeper practise back before he could find people to play on the Hufflepuff team.
Endou receiving an old book of quidditch keeper techniques originally owned by his grandfather at Christmas as a present without a name. Turns out, his head of house Hibiki Seigou sends it to him.
The Hufflepuff team suddenly becoming better over a few months and none of the other teams can figure out how it happened.
A clumsy hufflepuff Tobitaka Seiya accidentally finds the Room of Requirements and the team turns it into the ultimate training room.
Even when the other houses look down on Hufflepuff, Endou builds their team to become the best defensive teams Hufflepuff has seen in years.
In fact, the best chasers from the three houses (like Gouenji, Kidou, Hiroto and Afuro struggle to get their quaffles past him).
Despite initially finding Endou quite annoying, many the other students who play quidditch befriend him - it’s kind of hard not to especially due to his personality and ultimate love of quidditch.
Gouenji Shuuya and Kidou Yuuto eventually becomes best friends with him despite them originally competing for the top of the class and rivalling quidditch teams.
Endou constantly bothering Gouenji and Kidou at the library.
Gouenji and Kidou forcing Endou to study otherwise he would not be allowed to play quidditch.
Break trio going to hogsmeade together.
Kidou Yuuto & Otonashi Haruna + Teikoku Kids
Despite Ravenclaw being the fitting house for Kidou Yuuto, he asks the sorting hat to put him in Slytherin due to his step-father’s expectations.
Everyone in the Kidou family/Kidou Financial Group has always been sorted into Slytherin. Just because he wasn’t born a Kidou, it isn’t an exception.
His sister, Otonashi Haruna however does gets sorted into Ravenclaw the following year.
She becomes a writer/ photographer for the Hogwarts school paper and hopes to become a reporter for the Daily Prophet someday.
Kidou becomes a Slytherin prefect in his fifth year and quidditch captain playing as a chaser.
Haruna comes to watch him at every Slytherin game, wrapped in a bundle of his brother’s Slytherin scarf.
He then later becomes head boy alongside Gryffindor’s Raimon Natsumi.
Kidou and Fudou Akio meeting each other for the first time on the train to Hogwarts in their first year.
After spending a good five minutes in the same compartment, he finds that his sarcastic and cynical peronality annoying and barely tolerable. He hopes that somehow he gets sorted into a different house to him.
Sadly for him, Fudou also ends up in Slytherin AND becomes his roommate.
Fudou purposely going out of his way to irritate Kidou.
After living with him for a few years, he realises Fudou is not that bad and not to mention a pretty good quidditch chaser.
However, he is not happy with the fact that he hits on his sister.
In fact, Kidou is never happy that a lot of boys at Hogwarts fancies Haruna.
Protective brother Kidou.
Needless to say, anyone who does ends up with a hexed body part.
Fudou Akio taking girls (or boys, who knows?) to the Room of Requirements for a late night rendezvous.
Sakuma Jirou and Genda Koujirou are both childhood friends of Kidou’s. When Yuuto was taken in by the Kidou family, Sakuma helped him ease into the world of purebloods (Kidou only being a halfblood). Despite his high potential of being a talented wizard, many of the other pureblood kids did not look at him on an equal level because he was halfblood.
Sakuma ending up in Slytherin alongside Kidou being sorted with the same reason of family expectation.
Genda instead ends up in Gryffindor. His family aren’t too strict about where he ends up as long as he does well in his classes.
Sakuma as a chaser for the Slytherin team while Genda becomes keeper for gryffindor.
They stay friends despite the house rivalry and enjoy playing against each other when their teams play.
Gouenji Shuuya
Gouenji not attending Hogwarts till his third year. He transfers from Dumstrang.
Tends to spend a lot of time in the library when he isn’t playing qudditch.
Constantly competing with Kidou for the best grades in their year.
Someoka getting pissed off at Gouenji for transferring and suddenly gaining a starting position on the Gryffindor qudditch team.
Although his dream is to play quidditch professionally, his father wants him to become a Healer.
Gryffindor Toramaru idolising Gouenji and aims to become just as great a chaser.
Sun Kids
Kiyama Hiroto, Midorikawa Ryuuji, Nagumo Haruya, Suzuno Fuusuke, Saginuma Osamu and Yagami Reina all grew up the Sun Garden orphanage.
They would always be isolated by the rest of the children who lived there as strange things would always happen around them - especially if you made one of them upset.
Because of their experiences at Sun Garden, the six of them decided they would stick together.
They enter into Hogwarts a year after Endou, Gouenji and Kidou’s year.
Hiroto figures out that since Nagumo, Suzuno and Saginuma would most likely end up in Slytherin and his step father being a Slytherin alumni, the best house for them to go would most likely be Slytherin.
Hiroto would probably have been sorted into Ravenclaw otherwise.
Obviously Midorikawa goes wherever his best friend will go and ends up in Slytherin too.
Nagumo always teasing Midorikawa telling him he should have ended up in Hufflepuff.
Yagami Reina wishing to go to Gryffindor deep inside, but decides she doesn’t want to be separated from the rest of the sun garden kids.
The Slytherin/Gryffindor rivalry as strong as ever as Nagumo always tries to go head to head against Gryffindor’s ace chaser Gouenji.
As Nagumo is a beater, he always aims to hit the bludgers at Gouenji.
Nagumo and Suzuno Fuusuke makes one of the best beater duos at Hogwarts next to the Fubuki Twins.
Saginuma Osamu becoming the keeper of Slytherin.
Yagami Reina becomes a chaser of the team and is the first girl in years to make the team.
Hiroto becomes a prefect in his fifth year and later becomes the head boy in his seventh year alongside Otonashi Haruna of Ravenclaw.
He plays as a chaser for the Slytherin’s quidditch team and becomes captain when Kidou graduates.
The six of them becoming their generation’s Marauders: Sneaking around the school, finding the secret entrances/ passageways, late night kitchen trips and giving themselves nicknames (Gran, Reize, Ulvida, Gazel, Burn and Desarm.
Fubuki Shirou and Atsuya
Their auror parents were killed by dark wizards at a young age and Shirou promised them to look after his younger twin Atsuya.
They both see Thestrals from their first year of arriving at Hogwarts.
Shirou knows he can fit into Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, but he decides that wherever Atsuya gets sorted, he gets sorted their too. He has nothing against Hufflepuff, but with his father in Gryffindor and his mother in Ravenclaw, he’d prefer either of the two.
Atsuya has his heart quite set on being in Gryffindor and wastes no time telling Shirou that Hufflepuffs are for losers and Ravenclaws are for swots.
Atsuya getting sorted first since A comes before S despite being the younger twin. Due to his bold, daring and often reckless personality, he gets sorted into Gryffindor with the hat barely touching his head.
The sorting hat spends a longer time on Shirou, debating to send him to either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. Shirou politely asking the hat to send him to Gryffindor, before he runs off to sit next to his brother.
Both the twins can play bother Beater and Chaser respectively. Their position for a game depends on which house they’re playing against.
Other
Tsunami getting sorted into Gryffindor. He loves the feel of riding wherever his broom takes him - normally over the Black Lake. He often gets into trouble, dragging an unwilling Hufflepuff Tachimukai along with him to detention.
Kino Aki owling Ichinose Kazuya every week as he starts his wizarding education at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in America.
When he transfers to Hogwarts in his fifth year, he gets sorted into Ravenclaw.
He is also the youngest player on the American representative quidditch team.
He co-captains Ravenclaw with Afuro Terumi where he plays as a Seeker. Afuro himself plays as a Chaser.
Their childhood friends, Domon Asuka and Nishigaki Mamoru both transfer a few years prior and gets sorted into Slytherin and Hufflepuff and both play beaters for their respective houses.
Kazemaru at one point is the Captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team. He is probably the fastest seeker the house has had in a decade.
Kogure is the school’s local prankster. His cunning and misleading trickster personality lands him in Slytherin.
Heads of Houses: Kageyama Reiji (Slytherin), Kudou Michiya (Gryffindor), Hibiki Seigou (Hufflepuff), Kira Hitomiko (Ravenclaw)
Kudou teaches Defence against the Dark Arts, a position which Kageyama wanted. Kageyama teaches potions instead.
Hibiki teaches either Arithmancy or Ancient Runes
Kira teaches Transfiguration or Charms
During their first year, one of the quidditch teams (Ravenclaw or Slytherin), uses a potion with the code name Aqua of the Gods before their quidditch games and they win all their games for the season suspiciously. Turns out the Aqua of the Gods is actually Liquid Luck and the team forfeit their Quidditch cup victory. The members of their respective teams are banned from quiddich for the rest of their time at Hogwarts.
As Endou was still in his first year and unable to play quidditch, none of the banned members of the team are known.
Not my complete set of headcanons there! But that’s what I’ll leave for now.
There are a couple of headcanons if certain people got placed in different houses (Ravenclaw!Hiroto, Hufflepuff!Midorikawa, Ravenclaw!Kidou ) and I probably may write drabbles and whatnot with them in the future!
Hope some of this sounds interesting :D I’ll be working on this project on the side while I try to sort out some adulting life things.

Inazuma Eleven ☆ Harry Potter AU  |  Magical Familiars
Anonymous said to inazuma-hpau: Could you maybe do a headcanon about the familiars that some of the original cast would own at Hogwarts?
I actually haven’t thought about familiars for the IE kids! Here are a couple of the original cast and the familiars they would probably have!
Endou Mamoru Endou has a tawny owl which his parents bought him as a present before he left for Hogwarts. He writes to his parents as often as he can and his mother sends him family cooking and baking because she “doesn’t want her growing son to go hungry”. He also sends many letters to his quidditch friends from the other eleven schools Ichinose Kazuya, Mark Kurger and Dylan Keith from Ilvermorny, Mac Roniejo and Teres Tolue from Castelobruxo, Rococo Urupa from Uagadou, Edgar Valtinas, Hidetoshi Nakata and Fideo Ardena  Beauxbatons Academy just to name a few. His owl often pecks him in the head when he feels exhausted because Endou ends up sending way too many letters around the world, tiring the bird out.
Gouenji Shuuya Gouenji has a moderate sized white/silverish cat which was the son of his mother’s cat. Every year when he leaves for Hogwarts, his innocent and carefree younger sister Yuuka has a massive breakdown on platform 9 3/4 - not because his brother is leaving, but because his cat is. As Yuuka is still a little rough with her love, she often pats, squishes and cuddles Gouenji’s familiar to the point of uncomfortability for the the poor cat, so he is happy to escape away to hogwarts with Gouenji.
Kidou Yuuto Kidou has a large screech owl which his stepfather had given him before his first year at Hogwarts. Although he has always wanted to have a cat, his stepfather had always said that cats, toads and frogs were all disgusting, dirty creatures and that all Kidou’s should have elegant, beautiful owls as their familiars. He doesn’t argue with his stepfather as Haruna’s own tabby cat took an immediate liking to him - often visiting Kidou at Slytherin and sometimes saying the night with him. Sakuma and Fudou have also mentioned at one point that his owl’s red eyes looks exactly like his does when he doesn’t wear his goggles.
Fudou Akio Fudou has a black cat with white streaks which he befriended in his younger days. Before Hogwarts, he used to play for a local quidditch team within the town. Although all of the team disliked or hated him (being the son of a known deatheater), they were technically not allowed to ban him from joining the team. They were, however, allowed to bench him at every game to stop him from playing with them. He was super frustrated being forced to watch from the sidelines while his teammates got to have all the fun playing, but he didn’t want to leave the team out of pride and not giving in to what his teammates wanted. During one game sitting on the bench, a tiny black kitten hesitantly approached him. Fudou, being the kind soul he was, gave him a little bit of the food he was snacking on and gently stroked him. Since then, the little kitten visited Fudou every week he was on the bench and after a few years came along with Fudou when he went to Hogwarts - he gained such a liking to him, he didn’t want to leave his side.
Fubuki Shirou & Atsuya They have two kittens obtained from the same litter.  Surprisingly both cats obtain the personality of the other sibling. Despite his innate talent to attract and instantly bond with any magical creature, Shirou’s light ginger tabby is always running off, stealing food from the great hall, climbing/knocking down things he’s not supposed to and cause mischief in general. He always goes missing the moment Shirou’s back is turned and Shirou ends up running around the school trying to find him.
Atsuya’s Russian Blue is more timid and shy than her brother. She’s always clinging to Atsuya, often hiding behind his legs whenever she comes across a new person. Although he doesn’t like to show it to anyone besides his brother, Atsuya absolutely adores his cat. He loves to cuddle it, rub his face against his fur and let her sleep on his bed.
Sun Garden Children
Despite the kids having their own familiars, because they spend all their time together, they end up looking after each others too. Kiyama Hiroto has a brown owl which he often sends letters to his step-father updating him on how him and the other sun garden children are doing.
Midorikawa Ryuuji, Yagami Reina and Suzuno Fuusuke all have cats. Midorikawa has a lazy half cat, half kneazle, often with an angry attitude which took a liking to him because he doesn’t force his familiar to do anything he doesn’t want. He just hisses and Midorikawa leaves him alone to sulk in all his angry furball-ness to avoid getting scratched.
Both Reina’s Siamese Cat and Suzuno’s White cat are both very spoilt cats and don’t listen to anyone besides them. They are often found lounging around on hot surfaces when the sun is out and demand good cooked premium meals like salmon - not the disgusting canned stuff bought from the store.
Nagumo on the other hand has a rat. He loves how small rats are and how easily manageable they can be (unlike the cats the other 3 has) and not too boring (like Hiroto’s owl is). He often uses his rat as a guinea pig for all the spells he is trying out so on occasion his familiar can be seen a different shape, colour, object or animal. Often when his rat does go missing, the first people he blames are Midorikawa, Suzuno and Reina, but in reality, their three cats would be too lazy to even chase his rat.
… it’s actually Fudou’s cat that steals his rat.
Saginuma Osamu is one of the few people who don’t have familiar because he’s so sick of the other Sun Children’s familiars harassing him - Hiroto’s owl attempting to peck his eyes out, Nagumo’s rat biting his fingers and Midorikawa’s, Reina’s and Suzuno’s cats all scratching him all over his body.
Kogure Yuuya Obviously a toad. Just a common toad, nothing more special than the connection between Kogure and his toad. He loves to play pranks with his toad and is never without him. He loves letting his toad loose and causing havoc on everyone in his year group (the girls hate it the most), especially Ravenclaw’s Otonashi Haruna - probably because he finds her a challenge and she’s the only one who never lets him get away his pranks.
Tachimukai Yuuki As a muggle born wizard, Tachimukai is amazed by the concept of being able to even have owls as familiars or pets. The first time he walked into Eeylops Owl Emporium & Magical Menagerie he just about fainted from excitement. He asks his Tawny Owl to send letters home to his parents once a week talking about all his adventures in the wizarding world - despite his parents never really understanding what he's talking about.
Utsunomiya Toramaru Toramaru has a ginger cat with what looks like a few dark stripes on it’s back. His familiar is a lot smaller than other cats and was the runt of the litter he was from. Toramaru’s cat is a very energetic cat, often climbing on Torumaru’s trousers, cloaks, jumpers and occasionally a tree which he cannot get down from. As Torumaru’s cat is incredibly energetic, it gets tired just as easily and takes naps often - sometimes falling asleep in the strangest of places (sometimes in his school bag or in the hood of one of the Gryffindor boy’s uniforms. It was a slight scare to their goalkeeper Genda Koujirou, who felt the sudden wriggling in shirt as he tried to get ready for practise in the changing rooms.

This is the second part of my Utsunomiya Toramaru HDC’s for @inazuma-hpau. Due to NaNoWriMo the posting was delayed, but here it is! If you’re interested you can check the first part here. This is a half-blood!toramaru, gryffindor!toramaru and gryffindor!breaktrio version.
This was originally supposed to cover Toramaru’s third and fourth years, but as the information flow is already big, I had to move some headcanons to the next part.
I hope you enjoy it.
“The boy who flew while standing” HDC’s Pt. 2
Each year, at the start of a new school year Toramaru’s mother sent him a present to celebrate the start of a school year. On the first year Tae sent the third book of a storybook series that Toramaru had be waiting for. On the second year Toramaru received a new house-scarf that had been self-knitted by her. On the third year Toramaru received a new cape to his uniform.
The biggest surprise was on his fourth year when he received a brand-new broomstick from his mother. Toramaru was so surprised. When had his mother saved enough money to buy him a brand-new broomstick! Up until now he had always borrowed one from Kidou – who had them more than he could carry. Toramaru was moved to tears. His seniors and friends where surprised to see their cute junior cry, but eventually congratulated Toramaru. His mother truly treasured him, going as far as presenting him with a new broomstick while they were tight on money. Toramaru immediately send his mother a letter of thanks.
Because he was poor Toramaru never had enough money to buy himself a familiar. There was also the issue of his mother being allergic to animal fur. Somewhere in the middle of his 3rd year a tiger-striped kneazel became a regular at Toramaru’s feeding spot. The two of them quickly became fond of each other and Toramaru soon realized that the kneazel was following him around the school. A few times he discovered the feline sleeping on his bed.
The kneazel became Toramaru’s unofficial familiar, it was announced to the Head of the House, but he never took it back home due to family circumstances. He eventually took the kneazel with him when he graduated from school. Toramaru named the kneazel Little Tiger (Chibi-Tora).
Endou became the captain of the Quidditch club when Toramaru was in third year. At that time, there were some significant changes in the team composition and suddenly Toramaru was announced that he had become one of the starting members. While he was super excited of the news, inside his heart he was still afraid. He had stolen the position from his seniors and some of those who bullied him were still on the team. Toramaru wasn’t sure what to do.
The fear affected his practice and many of his teammates noted this and openly complained to both Toramaru and Endou, who was the captain. Endou, Gouenji and Kidou also realized how Toramaru seemed to be struggling with his practice and got worried. They needed to do something for Toramaru to overcome whatever was holding him back.
Before the break trio had managed to work on anything to help their junior, came the lessons of defense against dark arts. It was that lessons when the students were to learn their boggart, witness it for the first time and face it. Toramaru was slightly stressed over it, but being a prideful Gryffindor, he steeled his nerves and was ready to face it. What appeared before him went against all his expectations.
At first, he saw his father working around a cauldron. The man then turned his back to the cauldron to get something from the table. By this moment Toramaru was already crying lakes while mumbling something as fear took over him. An unexpected reaction happened in the cauldron and it started to emit strong gas while pouring harder. Toramaru fell on his knees, trembling in fear. He covered his eyes and just seconds later the cauldron exploded and his father along with it.
Toramaru didn’t appear to the training for two weeks and soon everyone realized it: Something had happened to him. Endou, Kidou and Gouenji became very worried and hoped that Toramaru wouldn’t quit quidditch completely. When they approached the head of the house to ask about their junior, they were informed that Toramaru had gotten special permission to leave the school grounds and visit his home.
It took weeks for Toramaru to recover completely. At first, he couldn’t fathom was exactly had happened and how come he’s in such situation. He was only sure of one thing, he had once again relived his father’s death. Eventually Tae admitted the truth behind his boggart. The young Toramaru had actually witnessed his father’s death – being a part of the explosion. It was a miracle that Toramaru had managed stay alive – his father had protected the young boy with his body. Toramaru had been in weak condition but he saw saved. His father had died on the way to hospital.
Toramaru was frightened at first, but at the same time he was glad to find out the whole truth about his father’s death. It triggered some unwanted emotions in him, but at the same time he came to realize what was the most important to him – his mother. He needed to do everything in order to cure him so that she too wouldn’t leave him.
Having made up his mind and somehow recovered from the trauma, Toramaru headed back to school. The next time he faced with his boggart, it wasn’t his father anymore. This time he witnessed his mother dying before his eyes. While it had cold sweat go through his spine, Toramaru had vowed it to himself. He would cure his mother.
Having overcome the matter with his boggart, Toramaru was to face another problem. He had skipped weeks’ worth of practice and the team wasn’t pleased with him (as he was still holding up to the starter position). Facing a dilemma, Endou suggested to play a mini two-on-two practice match, having Gouenji and Toramaru face against their other two chasers. The match was over once either side had reached ten points. There was one condition: on Gouenji-Toramaru team only Toramaru’s goals were counted.
Toramaru was troubled. His real nature was showing off too well in this match. He kept on passing the ball to Gouenji, who make a goal without second guessing, but soon realized that Endou was serious in this matter. None of Gouenji’s goals was counted. Toramaru had to get a grip of himself. He didn’t mind losing if it had been only him, but he was playing together with Gouenji. If they were to lose because of him, Gouenji’s position as the ace player could be at stake. He couldn’t hurt Gouenji’s honor and pride and made the boy lose because he was unable to score a goal.
Endou and Kidou watched the game from the sidelines, looking worried. It was true that Endou had suggested the game, but he hadn’t thought Toramaru’s condition to be this bad. He just hoped that it wouldn’t hit the boy too hard so that he would eventually quit the team. He had a talent for Quidditch after all. It was then that something unexpected happened.
It was like Toramaru turned into a completely different person. Without any warnings he flew forward as if his broom had suddenly turned into burst mode and he flew past his opponents and made a goal. Needless to say, the Gouenji-Toramaru pair made a comeback victory and Toramaru proved his worth on the team. At the same time he overcame his second trouble that year and in the upcoming matches he was seen scoring goals on his own whenever he had the chance.
It was often spoken that Toramaru had a natural talent for Quidditch. This talent bloomed into something even more fearsome once he started to practice seriously.
