This Loupé Timelapse is from the same session as the previous post, and heavily makes use of the "Replace" function, which is like an overdub with the feedback/regeneration of the loop set to zero, thus allowing to replace the sound previously recorded with what is being played. So what you hear is still 100% quite dry guitar. I'm in love with guitar loops. Who needs church when you can draw yourself a nice warm, fuzzy sound-bath? People are really catching on too, to the lofi chill hip hop beats to relax and or study to wave. I guess it might be being relegated to a stereotypical millenial thing? I'm basing that entirely on the joke made by Mr. Peanutbutter's one time girlfriend Pickles Aplenty on Bojack Horseman- where she says "Chill Lofi Hip Hop Beats To Study/ Relax to" is her favorite recording artist. She might be a stand in for millenials, or maybe shes representative of hipster culture, which I think makes more sense, considering the whole chill beats thing is such a coffee shop vibe. I think theres something about the loops that do the same thing or a similar thing- the warmth of the tones, the soothing nature of a little fuzz, and of course the repetetive quality. This loop, is a precursor to the Søl Søp song "Try to Find Out," which is also up on the soundcloud. Heres some trivia: thats my good Buddy Matt Edwards in the picture, formerly of the local metalcore band "Days of Rage." He doesnt do anything on the track, but we lived together for a year and this was my most recent good photo at the time of this upload. OK!
