My heart!!! 💙🌊🌞 lead me to this honourable sailor man 🌾🌾🌾
🗣️Gotilo tame gotilo gotilo gotilo,
Gotilo tame gotilo gotilo gotilo
Find him, O Find him, Find him, O Find him
… Nathi je majhama
One who isn’t pleased

Khali vavata dhaja ma
with flags of vanity,

Evo had no pravasi gotilo
O Find me such a zealous Seafarer.
Kanthethi ja tu ja dariye
Go, from the shore to the shallows

Dariye thi ja tu ja madhdariye
And from shallows to the sea…
Evo kon chhe khalasi mane kaidone
Tell me who could be such a sailor man

Ena tham ne thekana mane daidone
Tell me his name and address…
- so I don’t particularly like the final production on this but I love the opening and separate pieces of this folk song (Gujarati from the looks of it?) it’s so cute! So Gujji!

What goes on in a Baraat ceremony?
In an Indian wedding, the baraat is more than just a procession; it’s a vibrant celebration marking the groom’s grand arrival at the bride’s home. Today the Baraat culture has become popular with most weddings. The groom, often dressed in an Indian attire, typically sits on a horse decorated in an Indian costume, some baraats also see the groom arriving on a majestic elephant or in decorated vintage cars, and royal carriages.
Surrounded by family and friends, the baraat is a party on the move! The baraat symbolizes the groom’s journey to claim his bride, this procession takes place just before the wedding ceremony with dancing, music, and joy, The groom’s family and guests dance through the procession to the beat of dhols (traditional drums) or band that consists of tubas, bass drums, cymbals tabla, and trombones creating an electrifying atmosphere.
In North India, the groom arrives on a decorated horse, with the baraatis dancing to lively dhol beats.  Rajasthani baraats feature royal arrivals on elephants or vintage cars, set to traditional folk music.  In South India, the baraat is more understated, with classical music and the groom often arriving in a car.  Gujarati baraats are energetic, with the groom on a horse or jeep, and everyone dancing to Garba or Dandiya music.
The baraat symbolizes the groom’s joyous journey to the bride’s home with family and friends celebrating the union of two families.

to the anon who asked about india — it's not for beginners if how i were to say. india is a country rich in it's culture and tradition and mostly the bond we have with each other.
a wise man once said, "all indians are my brothers and sisters." i can't express this but please take it as your wish.
india definitely grew economically, industrially and educationally ever since india got it's independence. but we still need the debt of 3.1 trillion rupeess (?) from a country. you know who.
as long as i have been born in india, i agree with user boyfhee, the weddings is what i love about india and it's almost like a festival which starts from a month before.
india has various music genres — classical, folk music, punjabi, karnatic, bhojpuri, tamil, gujarati, you name it. and for the mocies, we have our own hollywood — bollywood, tollywood, mollywood, and more.
indian serial makers are the best, i dont know the name of the serial but it has almost 6 or 7 generations in it, dates back in 2013, the serial started and it's still going on strong. indian aunties love a husband who doesnt take care of his bhabi 🥲
in india, aunties have a love and hate relationship with each other and when it's festival time, we dont care, we talk and have fun like there is no tomorrow. and to tell about india, i think i need more than 3 months to tell you its history starting from cholas to navabs to british to the current ones.
i hipe this information about our country is informative but not as you expected ^^ if i have more to say, id definitely drop an ask into boyfhee. hehehe
this !!!!! to any one who's curious and wants to learn out us, do give a read. also i agree with the serials part omfg i remember miss gopi ... and agree with the aunties part too ><

Modern Banquet Halls: For a more contemporary wedding, Mumbai has a wide selection of modern banquet halls equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. These venues are versatile and can be customized to suit any wedding theme or style. Incorporating Mumbai's Cultural Richness
A Mumbai Wedding Wonderland is incomplete without the incorporation of the city's cultural richness. Mumbai is a melting pot of various cultures, and this diversity can be reflected in the wedding celebrations. Couples can choose to incorporate elements from different cultures, creating a unique and inclusive wedding experience.
For instance, a traditional Indian wedding can be infused with elements of Marathi, Gujarati, or South Indian culture, depending on the couple's heritage. This can include specific rituals, traditional attire, and regional cuisine, adding a personal touch to the celebrations. Additionally, Mumbai's vibrant arts scene means that couples can include performances by local artists, such as classical dancers or folk musicians, to entertain guests and add to the festive atmosphere.
Practical Considerations for a Mumbai Wedding
Planning a wedding in Mumbai requires careful consideration of various practical aspects to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Weather: Mumbai's weather can be unpredictable, with heavy rainfall during the monsoon season (June to September) and high humidity in the summer months (March to May). Couples should consider the weather when choosing their wedding date and venue, opting for indoor venues or tents if necessary.
2.Transportation: Mumbai's bustling streets and traffic can be challenging, especially for guests traveling from different parts of the city. Providing clear directions, arranging transportation, and considering venues with ample parking can help alleviate some of these challenges.
Accommodation: For out-of-town guests, arranging comfortable and convenient accommodation is essential. Mumbai offers a wide range of options, from luxury hotels to budget-friendly guesthouses, ensuring that there is something to suit every guest's needs.
Vendors: Mumbai is home to a plethora of talented wedding vendors, including decorators, photographers, caterers, and entertainers. Researching and booking reputable vendors well in advance can help ensure that the wedding runs smoothly and meets the couple's expectations. Conclusion
A Mumbai Wedding Wonderland is a celebration of love set against the backdrop of one of India's most dynamic and vibrant cities. From its diverse venues and cultural richness to its natural beauty and modern amenities, Mumbai offers everything needed to create a magical and unforgettable wedding experience. By carefully considering the practical aspects of planning a wedding in Mumbai, couples can ensure that their special day is as seamless and enjoyable as it is beautiful and memorable. Whether it's a beachside ceremony, a garden reception, or a grand celebration in a historic venue, Mumbai provides the perfect setting for the beginning of a lifetime of love and happiness.

Exploring the Rich Heritage of a Rajput Shaadi
In the heartlands of India, where the sands of history shift with the winds of time, lies a culture steeped in tradition, valour, and honour. Rajputana, the land of the Rajputs, exudes a regal aura that captivates the imagination, and nowhere is this more evident than in the grand celebrations of a Rajput wedding, known as a "Rajput Shaadi."
Tumblr media
A Rajput Shaadi is not just a union of two individuals but a celebration of lineage, heritage, and age-old customs. From the majestic forts of Rajasthan to the palatial mansions of Gujarat, these weddings unfold like a chapter from a royal saga, weaving together the tapestry of tradition with contemporary elegance.
One of the most striking aspects of a Rajput Shaadi is its adherence to age-old rituals, passed down through generations. These rituals symbolize the sanctity of the union and pay homage to the ancestors who have paved the way. From the auspicious "Muhurat" to the elaborate "Pithi Dastoor," each ceremony is meticulously planned and executed, infusing the festivities with a sense of reverence and splendour.
The attire worn during a Rajput Shaadi is another reflection of the rich heritage that defines this occasion. The groom, resplendent in a traditional "Sherwani" or "Achkan," adorned with intricate embroidery and embellishments, embodies the grace and dignity of a Rajput prince. The bride, dressed in a vibrant "Lehenga" or "Saree," bedecked with jewels and finery, exudes the timeless beauty of a Rajput princess.
Music and dance are integral parts of the celebration, adding rhythm and joy to the proceedings. The sound of traditional instruments like the "Shehnai" and the "Dhol" reverberates through the air, while folk dancers regale the guests with their mesmerizing performances. These cultural expressions not only entertain but also serve as a reminder of the rich artistic heritage that thrives in the land of the Rajputs.
Feasting occupies a central place in a Rajput Shaadi, with elaborate spreads that showcase the culinary diversity of the region. From traditional Rajasthani delicacies like "Dal Bati Churma" to Gujarati specialities like "Dhokla" and "Undhiyu," every dish tells a story of culinary craftsmanship passed down through generations. The feast is not just a gastronomic experience but a celebration of abundance and hospitality, reflecting the generosity and warmth of Rajput culture.
However, amidst the grandeur and opulence, a Rajput Shaadi is also a deeply personal affair, characterized by moments of intimacy and emotion. Family bonds are strengthened, friendships are renewed, and new alliances are forged, all against the backdrop of a shared heritage that binds everyone together.
In essence, a Rajput Shaadi is more than just a wedding; it is a celebration of identity, tradition, and community. It is a testament to the enduring legacy of the Rajputs, who continue to inspire awe and admiration with their valour and nobility. And as the echoes of the festivities fade away, they leave behind memories that are as timeless and enduring as the culture they represent.
