Gulfstream Aerospace Corp G600 | GVII | GA6C, N8ST. The G500 is, together with the G600, the successor to the Gulfstream V. In the summer of 2018, the device received its type certificate in America. The G500 is part of the G400/G500/G600 model range, the smaller G400 is still under development (delivery planned from 2025) and the larger G600 has been in production since 2018. The difference between the models is mainly in the length of the fuselage, type of engines, fuel stock and thus the flight range. The Gulfstream G400, G500, and G600 (GVII) are twin-engine business jets designed and manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace. The two larger models were unveiled on October 14, 2014 and the smaller G400 was unveiled on October 4, 2021. The G500 first flew on May 18, 2015, received its FAA type certification on July 20, 2018 and was first delivered on September 27, 2018. The longer G600 had its first flight on December 17, 2016, received its FAA type certification in June 2019 and was first delivered on August 8. The G500 will replace the G450 while the larger G600 will succeed the G550. Gulfstream G280 Long Range Private Jet

The Gulfstream G280 is a super mid-size jet that was first announced at the 2008 NBAA convention in October. It was manufactured in conjunction with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and was originally named the G250, before being renamed to the G280 sometime in 2011.

There are approximately 4 cabin configurations that can be set up with the G280. One of the more spacious configurations, allows for this aircraft to travel with up to 10 passengers and sleep up to 5. When it comes to range, this aircraft is capable of flying short distances, as well as transatlantic travel.

The maximum range the G280 is capable of reaching is approximately 3,600 nautical miles. While it's maximum cruise speed (or high speed cruise) is approximately Mach 0.84.

When you have a look at the baggage compartment on the G280, you will recognize its volume is approximately 120 ft³. This is said to be among the largest in its class for external baggage storage. When you actually compare the storage size / capacity to the G450, you can really notice a difference.

The G280 was meant to compete with other aircraft in its class such as; the Bombardier Challenger 350, Hawker 4000, Cessna Citation Sovereign & the Dassault Falcon 2000S.

Business Jet Sales in Dubai, UAE

With the Q3 General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) report scheduled to be released on November 17/18th. We have witnessed a lot of activity from our own observation / assessment.

Since October 12th 2021, the business jet market in North America has shipped / delivered approximately 50 to 60 aircraft. Europe and the Middle East / Africa has seen the second most activity with approximately 5 to 15 aircraft shipped.

With that being said, there has been a lot of activity in the Dubai area as of late. They city is currently running the 2021 Dubai Air Show, which commenced on November 14th and ends on November 18th 2021.

We will not be attending. However we do look forward to the announcements and developments that will be happening within the industry this week.

Gulfstream 4 | G-IV | GLF4, N383DJ. Gulfstream, in collaboration with Grumman, began work on the Gulfstream IV in March 1983 as a re-engined, stretched fuselage derivative of the Gulfstream III. The first GIV made its maiden flight on September 19, 1985. The model received type certification from the FAA on April 22, 1987. The G-IV entered into service with serial number 1000 in 1987 and was upgraded to the special purpose GIV-SP version at serial number 1214 in 1993. It was later redesignated G400 at serial number 1500. A shorter range variant was created based on the GIV and given the G300 designation in 2002. In 2001, Gulfstream began work on an improved version of the GIV-SP, originally designated GIV-X. It was later renamed G450. The G450 is lengthened 1 ft (0.305 m) over the G400 and shares the forward fuselage and larger cockpit of the G550. Production of the G450 began in October 2004, replacing the G400. The G450 has better performance and comes with the PlaneView cockpit with four 14-inch (355 mm) liquid crystal displays and a Head up display (HUD). For its size, the cabin is quite spacious providing work tables, ergonomic reclinable seating with arm rests and more. Florida, USA - Business Jet Sales & Deliveries

September has flown by quite fast and we have now entered into the first few weeks of Q4. With the North American region being the busiest in terms of shipments and deliveries. We have been able to identify approximately 80-90 private jets have been delivered between the end of August and the beginning of October 2021 (approx. 70-80 in the USA).

The state of Florida has contributed approximately 15-20 jets to that total. After observing this data, it appears that the overall region, is gaining more attraction as we close out the rest of the year. When it comes to turboprops, it appears as though the state of Florida was also able to move approximately 5-10 aircraft.

The third quarter shipments and billings report from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), is scheduled to be released sometime at the end of November. We look forward to that data as we believe numbers should pick up. However, we will have to wait and see once it has been released.

In the business aviation sector, competition is fierce and the Canadian aircraft manufacturer appears to have taken a step ahead of other market leaders with its Global 7500. But Gulfstream has benefited from the NBAA in Las Vegas from October 22 to 24, to present the G700, a jet that it presents as the best of the best of the industry.
