0: 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 -

Y/N L/N was a part of the Future Foundation, 14th division. While their twin sister, T/N who was the Ultimate Queen ( Originally Princess but a certain blonde already took the title ), was a Remnant of Despair along with the rest of their class.

It pained the twin to see their other being controlled by the strawberry blonde fashionista. Especially since they had to capture her themselves.

After running the program, Y/N decided to enter as a secret agent of the Future Foundation to help the two others when needed. It hurts knowing the truth but they were glad to see everyone before the tragedy struck.

Their dear twin sister was indeed a troublemaker and others even say she's ‘ evil ’ due to her cruel and awful personality, but of course as - not only her twin - her loyal servant ever since they were reunited, Y/N stood by the girl's side.

There was also another that they treasure, Nagito Komaeda,The Ultimate Lucky Student. Yes, even knowing how he is, he managed to make them fall for him. It was interesting really, since T/N isn't really fond of him ( Most of them don't ). But their was something about him that made them feel . . . Loved. Not platonically.

Y/N and their friends, their fellow survivors of the first killing game, had thought everything would go smoothly.

Sadly, that was not the case. That's the reason why I said ‘ first ’ after all. Y/N had failed to protect the Ex-Remnants of Despair from Monokuma's sick game. They could only think of him being the reason the virus entered in the first place.

Three trials. Three blackeneds. Four victims. It was awful. They hated the fact they had to go through another killing game. Now here they are, starving in two fruit-based buildings. Unfortunately, that was not the only motive the despair loving bear had planned.

1: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫.

“ Upuhuhuhu! That's right! T/N is an agent working for me! ” Monokuma announced to the eleven remaining students. Everyone's eyes widen as they all looked at the said girl with shock and anger.

She took a step back, almost stepping on the skirt of her dress as she clicked her tongue and gritted her teeth. “ Seriously!? You peasants believe him!? ” She asked with a glare.

“ How can we not? You're basically . . Evil! ” Kazuichi exclaimed, hiding behind Mechamaru to avoid the girl's glare. Everyone agreed with what he said. T/N was definitely cruel and awful, how did she managed to get her Ultimate anyway?

“ Silence! You shall not call them ‘ peasants ’! ” Sonia ordered with a stern look on her pretty face. The young queen scoffed, crossed her arms and looked away “ Isn't that what we call others below us, your highness? ”

“ I mean, as despairing as it sounds . . Monokuma hasn't lied to us ” Nagito pointed out, to which T/N replied - “ Hush, you hope obsessed freak! ”

But it seems like everyone seemed to believe it's true.

“ You asked for me, your majesty? ” Y/N entered the deluxe room of Grape House. There, at the desk, was their twin who's eyes were shining with anger. “ That damned bear . . Those peasants . . ” She began to curse under her breath as she stabbed a certain area on the map.

“ I will make him pay for ratting me out ”

The elder twin sighed and walked up to her, placing a blanket they grabbed from the bed over her shoulders. “ It is getting late, you should rest. Some sleep should give you energy for now ”

T/N whined but listened nonetheless. As soon as the girl plopped onto bed, she was out like a candle light. Y/N smiled softly and kissed her forehead, bidding her goodnight before leaving the room.

“ That devil shall not live to see the light of day . Not after she poisoned us with her thorns ”

“ A body has been discovered! ”

“ A body has been discovered! ”

Two. Two victims. One was a destroyed robot and the other was a stabbed with gunshots H/C girl. That's right. The victims were Mechamaru Nidai and T/N L/N.

2.1: 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞.

Nagito knew something was off.

The moment he saw his hope, Y/N, he knew that they were hiding something. And that something was indeed shocking. “ Ah, I apologise for not introducing myself earlier . . I'm Y/N L/N, the Ultimate Servant ”

That was a lie.

After completing the final dead room, he got his prize. It was files about them. Not only did he found out that Hajime was talentless and was a reserve course student, but his dear hope, his true love of his life, Y/N was not only talentless, but an agent of the Future Foundation.

He was upset but understood Y/N's reason. But for some reason . . He can't help but feel like he missed something.

2.2: 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭.

After the trial . .

“ That's right! The blackened who killed T/N L/N and destroyed Mechamaru Nidai isss . . . Gundham Tanaka, the Ultimate Breeder! AHAHAHA! ” Monokuma cackled as everyone looked at the breeder, who seemed to be prepared for the up-coming punishment.

Despair was painted on everyone's faces, a few tried to hide it. But one let out the pain that was weighing their down, slamming their hands on their podium which surprised them.

Tears streamed down their face as they asked, “ Why did you choose to murder her!? Why in the brutal way!? ” Their voice cracked from the sobs that came after the question. They knew that the H/C haired servant would be upset, but it was shocking to see them break down so . . Easily.

But . . Come to think of it . . They weren't acting like themselves. They usually back Hajime up with no hesitation but during the trial, they kept their mouth shut. Like they're scared to say something wrong or spill information.

Gundham replied while looking away, “ Mechamaru did not deserve death . . But that daughter who's lord is a devil did. She was a demon and lived in the depths of darkness ” ‘ Y/N ’ 's eyes widen those words, their grip tightening.

“ That's right . . I deserved to die ” Everyone looked at them with confusion as they straighten their posture “ It's my fault they died . . ” Placing a hand on her chest, she exclaimed “ So pin the blame on me! ”

Then it finally hit. This wasn't Y/N . . This was T/N. If that's the case then . .

Nagito lowered his head and whispered, “ Y/N's gone . . ”

Knock Knock ** Click.

“ Y/N, you're here! Good news, I have an idea on how to prevent . . Huh? ” T/N turned around to see her twin that was wearing her clothes and their hair down like hairs. They looked identical to her. “ Why are you . . ? ”

They only smiled and gave her their clothes, a letter was placed on top of it. “ I actually have a plan of my own, dear sister ” T/N's eyes widen in sudden realization, “ You don't mean . . I will not allow it! Besides, that damned bear would know! ” She exclaimed, her eyes glistening.

Y/N shook their head and placed the clothes on the bed. After that, they put their hands on her shoulders with a firm yet gentle grip. “ I already took care of that issue ” “ But- ” “ Listen now my dear, you and I will switch and you will be me. It is fine, we're twins and I'll be here to take the strike ”

They wiped away her tears with their thumbs and kissed her forehead, “ They won't know because we look alike ” Y/N stood on the original position their twin was in as T/N hesitantly switched clothes. “ B-But what about Nagito!? Surely, he'll miss you! A-And I'm the devil here! I'm the demon! Not you! ”

Their smile saddens, “ . . . ” They knew how the pale luckster likes to pin the blame on his luck and himself. But they already wrote to him in advance. They hoped it would help him in some way. Y/N truly love the luckster just as much as they love their twin sister. But they live to serve their sister, even if it kills them. Even after knowing everything the other's don't.

Dodging the first question, they replied with closed eyes “ If the devil's your lord as they all curse your name . . Then I am a demon too, for we have the same blood ” As soon as T/N finished dressing, they pulled her outside and ordered “ Now go, don't look back and be free ”

The twin sister hesitates before turning away and acted like they had a normal conversation, holding back the tears as the cameras assumed she was the other. Y/N watched her leave before closing the door, leaving it unlocked and sat on the chair while watching the fire on the candle dance.

“ If the day comes that we are reborn once again, it'll be nice to play with you ” They could hear the footsteps “ I'm sorry for leaving you Nagito . . But until then . . ”

* Creak!

Glaring at the breeder, they asked ( sounding like their twin ) “ How dare you, you pest!? ”

Watching the execution was painful, like always. T/N handed the letter to Nagito before leaving the trial room “ . . They wanted you to have this ”

3: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫.

“ My Dearest Nagito,

I am guessing that T/N gave you this after revealing the truth, correct? But, that is not the point.

I know what you're thinking.

You're blaming yourself again, are you not? You blame your luck. You regret letting me get close to you.

But you shouldn't.

Yes, I have broken our promise. And I truly am sorry but I will never regret getting close to you. I'm sorry for leaving you behind so early.

And I know you may think you have nothing to live for but please, live and fight the despair.

That's what you tell me, right?

A daily reminder that you are not useless nor worthless, you are more than that. You're more than just a stepping stone. Don't be afraid to acknowledge that, even if you don't believe it.

Y/N slowly opened their eyes, trying to figure out where they were and what was going on. But as soon as they sat up, they were pulled into a hug. “ Y/N! You're awake! ” “ T/N . . ? What . . ? ” Their gaze then landed on Nagito who stood beside Hajime.

Then it snapped, they hugged back and smiled “ So you did it . . I'm so glad ” They whispered as T/N pulled away and Nagito walked up to them. Tears finally streamed down his cheeks as he held both of their hands and leaned his forehead on theirs. “ You're here . . ”

Y/N kissed his nose, “ Everything's alright, I'm here, you're here, we're here. Safe and sound ”

Everything turned out to be great in the end. T/N slowly warmed up to everyone. They're working with the Future Foundation on Jabberwock Island. And all is good.

Arms wrapped around their waste as the luckster placed his chin on their shoulder, playing with the ring on their finger. With a content sigh, he says “ I love you ”

Yes, everything has it's flaws but nonetheless it was perfect to them.

It was all that stupid princess’s fault. If it weren’t for her, you wouldn’t have been going through what you’re going through right now.

You were slightly envious of the princess, she was basically everything you weren’t. That’s why you hated her, because of the fact that she was up to his standards.

You have had a crush on a boy for months, Gundham Tanaka to be exact. At first, you denied having any form of liking to him as you thought he wouldn’t be into you. Scratch that, you still think he isn’t into you.

That was because of Sonia’s mere existence.

You knew that Gundham had standards, he called himself ‘The Dark Lord’ for a reason. At first, you thought that he wasn’t looking for anyone to be with romantically- that was until you saw him hang out with Sonia more and more often.

That’s how you saw things of course.

Sonia met Gundham’s standards, while you were probably just a mere peasant to him. Sonia was definitely the girl Gundham was looking for, she was an actual princess after all- why not promote her to his ‘Dark Queen’ while at it.

This leads to where you are now, hunched over the toilet bowl and throwing up ‘Queen of the Night’ flowers. You hated this, you wish that everything would be over- you were sick of throwing up flowers for a boy who probably doesn’t even know who you are.

It really made you feel like trash, it made you realise how stupid you were for liking Gundham in the first place.

You were so close to not getting to the bathroom this morning, it took you a ton of effort just to leave the bed. Mikan had told you a while back that your state was getting worse; that one day either the thorns would be too much for your insides, or you’ll choke on the flowers you’ve been throwing up.

All this pain, pain that Sonia and Gundham would never understand. That pain just made you hate her even more. At this point, you were disgusted by her name even mentioned in a conversation.

Today, you had enough of this pain. One day or another, you would have to tell Gundham your feelings or you would die- and today was going to be that day (if you could even get out of the bathroom that was).

“Are you sure you want to do this? What if he doesn’t believe what you’re saying?” Mahiru questioned, grabbing fresh clothes for you to change out of your bloodstained clothes.

“Don’t say things like that!” Akane hissed, coming out of the bathroom with you in her arms.


You had asked for Akane and Mahiru to come to your cottage to help you out with today. You had told them both about you wanting to confess, and they were more than willing to help you out.

“I know he likes Sonia more than me.” You rasped, “But it’s worth a shot. If he does know, at least he’ll regret it if I died. It’s sort of like a death bed wish.”

“Don’t remind me that you’re dying.” Akane placed you down on your bed, “It breaks my damn heart that you are, especially over a man like Gundham.”

“To me, he’s not even a man.” Mahiru walked over towards you and Akane, “If he’s going to down right ignore how you’re feeling, that’s just being a coward! Men aren’t supposed to be cowards!”

“But what you said, how do you even know he even likes Sonia more?” Akane countered what you said, starting to help you change.

“H-He talks to her more then me.” You coughed, a flower falling onto your thigh, “He’s hangs out with her more than me. You saw them the other day right? They’re that close that they finish each other sentences!”

During home room the other day, you had saw Sonia and Gundham laughing while they were talking. At one point, Gundham was talking and Sonia had finished his sentence.

“You never know Y/N.” Mahiru assured, “They could just be best friends. To me, it doesn’t even look like he’s interested in her in that way.”

“What makes you think that?”

“It may be because I’m naturally observant, but there’s this vibe with them that feels like they’re only friends you know.” Mahiru shrugged, “I’ve just noticed from the start that Sonia isn’t the type of girl he’s into- to be honest, I think she’s hanging out with him because of his hamsters.”

“But it looks so different. Why are they that close if she’s just in the friendship for those hamsters.” You furrowed your eyebrows, looking down and picking up the flower that fell on your thigh.

“I said that was my opinion on it. But think whatever you think of it. Just remember, Y/N, there’s more then what meets the eye.” Mahiru finished up helping you get ready.

“As much as I hate to say it, I agree with Mahiru on that one.” Akane chimed, helping you stand.

“Hey!”

“What? I’m saying my opinion. Come on, let’s go and find Gundham and the others.”

You had chose the wrong day to do it, why did you have to choose today.

Currently, you were with everyone else at the restaurant. Everyone else seemed to have a good time, except you of course.

You had noticed that Sonia was sitting awfully close to Gundham, and you tried to brush it off. It was stuck in your mind the entire time everyone was there, you had tried to distract yourself by talking to Akane, Mahiru and Ibuki- but it only seemed to make things worse.

As you looked down to eat some food, that’s when you felt it.

You could feel the flowers coming through your throat. You stood and ran out of the restaurant, leaving everyone confused and shocked in their seats.

“Why aren’t you guys doing anything, you cowards!” Mahiru yelled as she rushed out of her seat and towards outside, Akane following her with a plate of food in her hands.

Mahiru and Akane walked outside to a horrifying sight.

You were kneeling in front of the garden, flowers coming out of your mouth without control. You arms were clutching your throat, coughing continuously as tears brimmed in your eyes. From a distance, you could see thorns slightly poking the skin of your throat.

Blood was staining your clothes and the grass around you as it seeped out of your mouth. It was all over your hands as you gagged and coughed.

“Get Mikan!” Mahiru screamed to Akane, who nodded and ran back inside as Mahiru ran to your side to try and help as much as she could.

“What happened to Y/N?” Kazuichi thought loudly, “She was acting strange- running outside and all that.”

”I’m not sure why.. But I do hope that she’s okay.” Chiaki replied with concern, “She looked more pale then usual, she has for a while.”

”Ibuki thought she was the only one who noticed!” Ibuki added, “Ibuki also noticed that Y/N hasn’t left her cabin in a while.”

“Maybe she got a bug or something. Something isn’t right with her in any way.” Sonia chimed in, “Like, something really isn’t right.”

“Maybe she has been cursed.” Gundham sighed, “But what would she be cursed w-“

“MIKAN!” Akane’s voice boomed and she slammed the door open, “IT’S Y/N, SHE’S DYING!”

“H-Huh!” Mikan turned around startled and starting to stumble towards Akane, “I-I’m on my w-way!”

Akane and Mikan rushed outside together, Mikan instantly going to Y/N after seeing the state she was in.

Mahiru’s clothes were covered in blood and petals, a gloomy yet concerned look on her face as she was pulled away from Y/N by Akane.


“Please Y/N.. Don’t die on us..” Mahiru whispered, tears filling her eyes, “I tried as much as I could to stop the bleeding bu-“

“Oh my god.”

Akane and Mahiru turned around to see everyone else on top of the steps, looking down at Y/N’s body and Mikan near them.

“What’s wrong with her? Why is she like that!” Sonia screamed.

“I am right, she was cursed-“ Gundham began.

That’s when Akane lost her cool, she couldn’t stand Gundham at this point. He’s the one bringing Y/N pain, if it weren’t for him you wouldn’t be dying.

“IT WAS BECAUSE OF YOU!” Akane snapped, pointing at Gundham, anger filling her eyes.

“What do you m-“

”IT’S BECAUSE OF YOU AND SONIA! YOU TWO ALWAYS BEING TOGETHER!” At this point, Akane was being held back by Mahiru. If it weren’t for Mahiru, she probably would’ve knocked him out by now.

“Akane, calm down please. Being violent isn’t going to help the situation right now.” Mahiru tried to calm Akane down, much to her avail it made Akane even more angry.

”I DON’T CARE! HE NEEDS SOME SENSE KNOCKED INTO HIM!” Akane broke from Mahiru’s grip and starting to storm towards Gundham.

Grabbing him by his shirt, Akane looked at Gundham in the eyes and hissed, “You better make things right with Y/N. She’s been in love with you for the longest time, and you’ve been ignoring her for Sonia. So you’re going to make things right with her.”

Gundham was beyond shocked with what Akane said.

Y/N liked him too? She thought he was ignoring her for Sonia. He had to admit, Sonia was consuming too much of his time lately.

He knew that Sonia had a crush on him, he knew that if it weren’t for his Deva’s- Sonia probably would’ve never spoken to him or even have feelings for him.

But he liked you, he yearned to be in your presence every time he was hanging out with Sonia. He wanted to talk to you, to see if you had feelings for him too, but he knew that you probably weren’t interested in him.

But now, after knowing that you had liked him back and finding out the hard way, he had wished that he had spoken to you earlier about it.

He was going to when you first arrived, but Sonia was in the middle of talking to him and she moved towards him.

But now, he regretted every second he spent with her today. If he had spoken to you, you wouldn’t be in the situation you’re in. Because of that feeling, he had the urge to shut everyone out so it’s just you and him, and pour his heart out to you.

But he had to keep calm, like what Mahiru said, being violent isn’t going to help or change things.

“I will.” Gundham hissed to Akane, “I am now, get off of me, mortal.”

Akane complied, letting go of her grip so Gundham could walk towards Y/N.

“I-I’ve tried as much as I c-can! I-I’m s-sorry if it made Y-Y/N worse!” Mikan exclaimed sadly, looking over at Gundham with wide eyes.

“It’s fine, Mikan. I think I know how to get rid of this curse.” Gundham reassured Mikan as she slowly nodded and stumbled away from him.

“Y/N..” Gundham whispered as he crouched next to you, “I’m so sorry for this..”

“Why are you apologising?” You coughed, looking at him with dark eyes, “I thought you would want to see someone like me in pain.. especially when you have feelings for her.”

He realised the hurt and bitterness in your voice at your response, he didn’t want to admit it but what you said had broken his heart.

“My dear Y/N, why would you think that I have feelings for her? I get why you would, but if you were to observe my actions closely you would see that I have no attraction to her.”

“It didn’t look like that way to me.” Your eyes teared up as you started to cough up even more flower petals. You felt the thorns pressing harder and harder into your neck, making you gag.

“Y/N? P-Please don’t pass on.. it’s n-not your time. ” He was concerned, you could tell by the shakiness of his voice. That’s when you realised that he generally cared for you.

You kept on gagging, it was all too much to handle. You didn’t want to muffle out what Gundham is saying but your mind is starting to fuzz out.

“I-“ Before you could continue, flower petals fell out of your mouth along with blood, the pink staining Gundham’s hands as he placed them on your shoulders.

“P-Please.” You also realised that Gundham had broken character, that he wasn’t his usual ‘evil’ self, “Don’t leave.”

“I-I love you.”

Once he had said that, you could feel the thorns start to retreat from your neck and start to shrink down from your neck. You could feel the petals shrinking in your stomach along with the stem of the plant.

Your head was pounding, but you didn’t care. Relief felt through your veins as you looked up at him with teary eyes.

“So you weren’t lying..” You looked up and him and murmured as he took your hands into his, “You really do love me.”

“Like what I said, my dear Y/N.” Gundham pulled you close, whispering into your ear, “I love you.. and I always will.”

I’m gonna use this text post to type down first impressions of the new drv3 characters as I meet them? I’m putting these here just so I can see how they change as I watch through the game. under readmore for obvious reasons

(note that I do not have the game, I am watching playthroughs on youtube like a scrub)

akamatsu kaede: cute as heck both design-wise and personality-wise. A+++ protagonist, also very refreshing to have a protag whose talent is not either good luck or ??? or nothing? (finally insert red matsu joke here ehehehe yesss)

shuichi saihara: a really nice sidekick character so far? he’s cute and fairly friendly given the situation which I like. here’s hoping he doesn’t die early or turn into a dick like komaeda

shirogane tsumugi: interesting that they made her someone who designs cosplays for other people and not herself but?? I think that would make her more of a shsl cosplay designer than a shsl cosplayer? cause the word cosplayer implies you... wear the cosplays... I dunno that just kinda bugs me a little for some reason. other than that I don’t have much of an opinion on her yet

amami rantarou: other than his ??? status making him pretty much immune to early death and the fact that he’s the obvious fangirl-magnet character of this game, this dude honestly left zero impression on me? I literally almost forgot to include him in this post because I kind of forgot he existed

iruma miu: her design was my favorite leading up to the game’s release but literally the first line out of her mouth made me dislike her immediately. which is impressive considering teruteru is my favorite character from this series. her perverseness isn’t amusing like teruteru’s, pitiful like tsumiki’s or even fascinatingly out-there like yamada’s though. it’s just straight-up gross, and unlike those other characters the way she uses her talent just makes her less endearing rather than more. maybe she’ll change for the better later but as of now I don’t have high hopes for her. if she lives longer than himiko I might ragequit this game for a while

kokichi ouma: a little shit but a glorious little shit. his voice is unexpectedly deep but? it fits him well weirdly enough. I’m gonna be nervous around him during the class trials though

kiibo: his mannerisms seem not so much like a robot as they seem like a kid pretending to be a robot?? essentially seems like this game’s version of gundham except robot rather than cursed lord of darkness. I like him though and I hope the game doesn’t take that highly predictable route and instead does something more clever with him

[after this point I have no more english translations to go on, only the raw japanese version, so these following opinions are formed solely based on the characters’ voicework, sprites, and what little I can glean of what they’re saying]

hoshi ryouma: HIS VOICE?? IS SO DEEP?? GOOD GOD WHY IS HIS VOICE SO DEEP?? he seems chill and kind of like the brooding buff guy type... excepT?? he’s a tiny hamster man?? I don’t understand but I like it. he’s a cool cat. please don’t fucking kill him off early like all the other non-standard-designed characters spike I beg you

harukawa maki: she seems kinda shy and a bit standoffish? but not in the rude way, more like the “I’m just not good with people” way. I totally get that. we’re in this together maki. judging from promo art her role is gonna be pretty important so... I wish her good luck in this surreal killing adventure

shinguuji korekiyo: I wish I could understand him right now cause he seems downright intriguing. I can’t really get a good read on what kind of character he is from his voice and mannerisms alone. however the fact that his va voiced iyami makes his “utsukushii yo” significantly more unsettling to listen to

momota kaito: seems like a cool but also kind of dudebro-ey older type? I’m really curious as to how his talent plays into his personality and character quirks. he gives me vibes that are this weird mix between leon and hagakure. so far he seems cool, but I won’t be surprised if he does something dangerous and assholey out of either fear or selfishness later

toujou kirumi: gentle yet confident voice + polite speech pattern = instant like. her design is cool as heck too. she is a character who makes me feel safe and I feel she would have my back if I put my trust in her. her actual dialogue could possibly contradict that but for now, she puts me at ease. if she ends up being a culprit I will be sad, but that would also be quite an interesting twist

gokuhara gonta: hoooooly crap he takes gentle giant to a whole new level. and his passion for insects gives me even more reasons to compare him to sig? ohmygosh. I can tell a lot of people are gonna get attached to this character, myself included. which means I’m prepared to have my heart shattered into pieces later by these sadistic writers ;v;

yonaga angie: I had a feeling I was going to like her a lot and I was right!! her design is Adorable. her expressions are Adorable. and her voice is Adorable!! she seems a fair bit quirky (and semi-religious I guess?) but even without completely understanding her now I can tell she’s gonna be a really fun character. if she lasts long enough. *whispers while clasping hands together* please spike

monokuma: ah sweet monokuma, how I love to hate thee. your voice is somewhat jarring now that ooyama-san has stepped down, but in every other regard thou art the same old shitty monokuma

monokumas: some more eccentric shitty monokumas engaging in some more eccentric unsettling banter. so far monodam is my favorite because he is pretty much me throughout most of these games. monofunny is a close second. I’m neutral on the rest except for monokid who I kind of wish would just shut up sometimes
