sometimes it’s hard to approach the girl given the slight twinge inside of her whenever she compares the girls slight similarities to Fiona. Her mother, her lost mother, dying there in her arms. There was always a strain when she thought of her, whenever she let her cross her mind. It wasn’t fair of Cordelia to compare the two of them - or perhaps she simply had the feeling that Fiona would like Sydney far more than she ever did Cordelia. although new to the academy lucrezia has known her whole life that she was a witch. she considers herself something of royalty, coming from a line that produced several power witches. one of her ancestors she claims was supreme. she opted not to go to the academy growing up. preferring to sharpen her craft on her own. she used her powers to her advantage all her life. getting what she wanted or eliminating what she didn’t want or who. she’s used her powers to further her family’s ambitions as well. the borgias now being one of the most powerful families in new york.  she’s vicious when she needs to be. but she’s never one for a power trip. she decided to come to the academy when it became public. she had hated the idea of hiding, of running. but now that the new supreme has opened up the doors to the school not just to witches but for the eyes of the world she feels like it’s a place she can belong. she’s come there for a new start, wanting away from the life she had crafted on her own, with her family. she wants to shed guilt and change. but old habits are hard to quit.

Madeline “Maddy” Valois -25-Sarah Bolger-Pyrokinesis-”Firestarter”

BIOGRAPHY

Born to Trevor Valois and Fleur Valois, Madeline looks like a young woman who had everything handed down to her, since her father was a lord in France. But everything ended one day when Madeline sat near the fire, finding it interesting and stuck her hand out, thinking that the fire wouldn’t hurt her, wouldn’t burn her. And she was right-for the fire crept up her arm and actually stayed there, making her scream and flail her arms around, trying to make it stop, thinking it was burning her arms. She clamped her eyes shut and wished it to go away, and when she opened it, it did-it went away. She swore she wouldn’t do it again, but years later, when she grew up and hid her powers from her parents, she broke it-but not in a way you think. 

It was a gala for some kind of organization, and Madeline was fooling around with the candles, running her hand through the small flames and giggling like a child. At her table, everyone ignored her except for one boy, who dared her to make the flame bigger. With a grin, Madeline waved her hand, and the flame got bigger...bigger to the point that she couldn’t control it. Fire alarms went off, everyone was screaming, and she ran off with the boy, but with one touch he died, burning deeply in the flames. Maddy screamed as the boy died, blaming herself as she ran outside, where the firefighters tamed the fire. 

Madeline wept for weeks, blaming herself for the fire. But her father knew. He knew his daughter was a witch and wanted to hide her from the rest of the world and also so she could learn her craft, so he sent her to Miss Robichaux’s Academy in New Orleans, but Madeline knew it would be a long time before she went back to her beloved France, her beloved Paris, as long as she cannot control her magic.

new orleans has long since been a haven for witches since the days of Salem when a coven of witches left behind that horror to find a new home. They thrived at their academy - named and presented with a front of being an elite boarding school. Instead, however, young girls are sent here to hone their craft and to seek out refuge from the outside world so that their magic might not be found out by the outside world. there are threats however without the brand posed by those who are left without knowledge of true witchcraft. Hunters who are hell bent on killing them all and the witches in the Ninth Ward once the truce between them is no longer respected. Witches must always stick together, especially in times of peril. Because when witches don’t fight - they burn.

B I O G R A P H Y;;

coming to the academy at a young age was extremely upsetting for Cordelia, given she was abandoned there by her mother. constantly keeping herself in the shadows of everyone else she chose the position of headmistress while her mother disappeared constantly. she was responsible for finding witches in the world and offering them invitation to the academy as a safe haven and as a place to hone their magic. she kept to her green magic for most of her life, trying to find relevance and a way to be important to her coven and trying to live up to the image of her mother the Supreme. 

it didn’t take long for the coven to come under attack and when she was blinded her Sight was one of the key things that helped them with the internal threats in their home. with her mother falling ill it was time to find a new Supreme and while the girls becoming far too arrogant for their own good Cordelia was encouraged by her mother figure Myrtle Snow to join in on the Seven Wonders - a tradition of sorts to find the next Supreme. Once she performed all the Wonders she found herself the New Supreme replacing her dying mother and becoming the leader she had never realized she was.

quickly she became the best Supreme the coven had ever seen. the royal blood in her veins makes her even more powerful but she hardly uses the power to her advantage. she fairly runs the school and has brought witches to the light letting the world know that they exist. the doors to the academy were opened and she’s hell bent on protecting herself and her girls from any threat that might come her way.

born in the irish channel in new orleans, to her mother who was always dabbling in something. she believed in voodoo magic, believed in the spirits. but she had no real gift. layla’s father had died the year she was born. and she and her mother were used to struggling. her mother was a beaten and worn down woman, always striving for a better life. layla had the same agenda but was a dreamer, always lost in thought, always searching for something else in her head. finding solace in old books left to her from her grandmother, family history. her mother’s obsession with the dark arts came more clear to her. not that she entirely believed in magic. but it made the days more interesting. at the age of 15 she discovered she had pyrokinesis. accidentally killing her mother by burning down the house. or what was reported as accidental, the details remain unclear. her deep research led her to miss robichaux’s academy. eagerly seeking out refuge. during her time there she’s gotten into some trouble, once another accident with her pyrokinesis with some people outside. one she thinks she’s cleverly concealed with her discovery of her resurgence powers. since that discovery she’s become overly confident in her ability. convincing herself that she is the next supreme. she’s determined to do anything to prove that.
