Not that SAXON RATLIFF ever thought of himself as the loyal kind, but he’s just been so uninterested in any girl other than you. Well, any one other than you. Understand that he would never admit that he’s a shit boyfriend; in every relationship before this, there was always a point where he’d wake up to realize how little he cared for his current partner. There was a whole twitter “exposé” at one point from one of the sorority girls he dated. Something about how much of a douchebag he was and that “he’s the equivalent to a community bike.” So with that in mind, he can’t help but be confused about his current predicament.

He’s away from you, on some business trip in the Outer Banks to close up a deal with some investors. Really, it’s more like a vacation; hot girls in the most scantily clad bikinis, (other) out of touch nepo babies on their week long vacation trip, and all the great restaurants, of course.

But get this, he can’t get his dick up. Like at all. Every time, he would bring someone back to his room, and bam! He’s got whiskey dick. Not that he could even fall back on that. Half of the time, he wasn’t even drunk. He’s never had this problem before. Rather, the opposite. Always needing another warm body. Always needing someone new. Which is why it’s such a perplexing experience to come to terms that he’s being haunted by you. From his wet dreams to any time he’s getting hard, it’s always about you, you, you.

So, maybe he needs to fuck you out of his system. Have his way with you on his bed, in the bathroom, in his car. And when that doesn’t work out, he figures he needs to go to your place; smell your sheets when he has you pressed into him, use your shampoo when he’s got you in the shower, eat you out as breakfast on your kitchen counter. Just anything to work you out of his head.

He thinks it’s finally working. He’s over at your place again, nose buried in your hair to smell that fresh shampoo as your legs dangle over his shoulders. Y’know, to really ram into your cervix. He swears he’s starting to feel that same sort of boredom he’s gotten with all his past relationships. Suppose that after today, he’ll be done with you and onto the next.

But, he makes a mistake. He kisses you. And it doesn’t feel like those “heat-of-the-moment” kisses. Matter of fact, it’s something much too foreign to him. Your nose is bumping his, and your lips are entirely too soft. How is it that the way he’s fucking you is so savage, but every touch of you makes him confront those weird butterflies in his stomach? How has he never noticed how you scrunch your nose? That you laugh with your whole chest? Or how your smile lines enrich your expression?

“Saxon?” You’ve got lilt to your voice that he can’t bring himself to snap out of. “You good?”

Somehow, you don’t even realize what you’re doing with your eyes.

“You have no idea what you’re doing to me, do you?”

“What are you talking about, you weirdo?” God, how is it that even your giggle is infectious?

He rolls his hips slowly, almost experimentally. He catches how you gasp a bit at that, rolling once more at a much slower pace.

“Please, babe, keep doing that.” Your legs are around his waist now, but he’s taking his time rocking back and forth, reveling at how your breath hitches when he circles your bud.

You’re kissing at his shoulders, hand massaging through his hair, and he doesn’t ever want to leave this moment. He whines at how you’re touching him. Soft, high moans that sort of catch you off guard. It makes you feel so good to know he’s enjoying himself though.

He’s kissing the nape of your neck, leaving deep hickeys in his wake. Then he’s at your lips again, gently. As if he’s scared he’s going to break you. As if all the time before he wasn’t going crazy on you.

“Ugh, I think I’m going to…” Saxon is rutting into you now, fingers still on your clit.

“Okay, fuck, don’t pull out…”

“huh?”

“Inside! Just cum inside!”

Your legs are tied around him, and you’re so tight that Saxon couldn’t even pull out if he wanted to. He’s so deep in you that he wouldn’t even be surprised if you told him your Plan B didn’t work out. He figures he would cross that bridge when he gets there.

For now, he’d rather enjoy basking in the heat of the sunlight to cuddle you with.

It was late into the night—10:30pm, to be exact, when Spencer arrived back home from a case in Dallas. The team had spent four grueling days catching the unsub and sleeping in highly questionable hygienic motels. The thought of the stale smell of cigarettes and grimy countertops made him shudder. All he wanted to do now was take a deep shower, kiss and cuddle with you, and crash into a deep sleep. 

He entered the threshold quietly, knowing your on-call schedule at the hospital for the whole month was taxing. He expected you to be passed out on the bed—dreaming of sunshine and rainbows but imagine his surprise when he noted the bathroom light open and the door slightly ajar. 

“Y/N, sweetheart, I’m home,” he called out. 

A muffled groan answered his call. 

That alarmed him enough to drop his satchel and coat on the floor, feet clad in mismatched socks sliding across the wooden floor. The sight of you sitting on the bathroom floor, back against the wall, stopped his heart from beating—thirty second full stop—before it started beating again at twice the normal speed. 

“Y/N. Are you alright—“ he bent down to peer into your fluttering eyelids. “—did you hit your head? Is your vision blurry? What—” 

You raised your hand to stop his spiraling. “I felt faint from the heat, Spence. That’s all.”

His eyes widened in alarm as he tried to spot any external injuries. “Did you faint? Are you sure you didn’t hit your head?”

You shook your head, causing him to gasp with worry. 

“Don’t shake your head! Sudden movement can stretch and further damage brain tissues—we should, we should get you to the hospital!” His voice cracking at the end.

“No hospital, I’m alright Spence. I sat down when I felt dizzy so no head injury to worry about,” you smiled, taking in your boyfriend’s fussy hands, touching your face and head, and his face showcasing a variety of looks, all painting worry. “Plus, I’m a doctor. Pretty sure, I know what I’m talking about.” 

He sighed. “I’m a doctor, too, and your boyfriend, I have every right to worry.” Wrapping his arms around your waist, he brought you up to a stand. “Lean on me, let’s get you to bed.”

You hobbled to bed where Spencer fussed to situate you in. Having spent all your working hours doing the opposite, it was amazing to be the receiving end—especially from someone as dedicated and caring as Spencer. 

He rushed to bring you a cup of water. “Drink slowly. It’s possible that you’ve been dehydrated and it was exacerbated with your hot shower. Did you drink enough water today, Y/N?” 

“Yes, Dr. Reid. I drank plenty of water during my breaks,” you teased. 

“I sense you’re starting to feel better. The sarcasm is back,” he jested with a smile before replacing it with a look of seriousness. “I know you like your hot showers but do you think you could lower the temperature to prevent the fainting spells from happening again? I worry about you, especially when I’m out on a case. A study found that hot water increased heart rates by 32% and blood flow by 44%, which isn’t bad in itself but combined with your fatigue and resistance to drink lots of water, there’s a higher possibility of you fainting again and again.” 

You caressed his cheek before nodding your head. “Alright, I will, Spence. Y’know all this worrying for me will give you premature grey hair and that—“ ruffling his wavy locks “—would be a travesty.” 

He laughed, giving you a peck before stepping out of his work clothes. “I’ll take a quick shower, be right back and please, stay where you are.”

You watched as he entered the bathroom, leaving the door open just in case you’d call and he’d come running. Sliding down under the covers, you felt your exhaustion pulling you under to a state of in between reality and dreamland. 

Your last coherent memory was Spencer sliding next to you, cuddling you to his chest, giving you a kiss good night, and his sweet murmurs of ‘I love you.’

“Do you ever think it was fate that we met each other?”

Trowa looks up from his tablet, to where Quatre is sitting in the window seat, eyes fixed on something outside, with his elbows propped on his knees, a mug of coffee cradled in his hands.

“I suppose I’ve never really thought about it,” he answers.

“Wufei was telling me something. About the red string of fate. It’s an invisible, unbreakable thread that ties two people together,” Quatre murmurs, taking a sip from his coffee. “Linking soulmates together. To make sure they meet.”

Trowa considers this, noticing how the early morning sunlight is reflecting off of Quatre’s hair, making him glow. Considers all the things that had to happen for them to meet, big and small. All of the hurt, the loss, the longing that brought them to where they were now - sitting in their kitchen on a Thursday morning, sipping coffee and catching up on the news.

The notion of fate doesn’t seem so improbable.

“Maybe it was.”

so this is a really random poll (and my first one on this blog!) but it figures now that I've come up with a "good name" I'd be interested to try:

the abstract of the poll/challenge/idea:

1. I'm calling it "torokatober" from トロカト/torokato. no need to apply strict top/bottom dynamics, of course.

2. I do this challenge every year where I write drabbles every day of october for a particular character/ship. this time, 3x4 is my subject of choice

3. anyone who wants to join won't have to be limited by drabbles! that's just me. others can do whatever they want like longer or shorter fics, art, cosplay, model kits, gif sets, amvs, playlists, etc etc etc

4. if the poll gets good traction and interest, I can open a prompt suggestion form just so I won't have to come up with all the prompts myself 😂 but if the poll doesn't get any traction/we don't get enough prompts to fit 31 days, I can just fill it up on my own, dw XD

6. probably gonna use the hashtags #torokatober2024 and #トロカト１０月２０２４年 for collecting works. so even if no one's interested, I'll post the prompts and my own works there 😂

a/n: this was supposed to be a Saxon and locker room talk, but the more I wrote, the more it divulged from its original plot… maybe I’ll revisit that idea when I can write a clear enough story for it.

“You’re always so whiny and pitchy.” SAXON RATLIFF mutters in your ear. He goes on to mimic your moans, exaggerating the way your breaths are stuttered. You punch at him hard to get him to shut up.

“What?” He grins at your response, taking advantage of the wide mirror in front of you two, lifting your chin so that you’re forced to face yourself. “Look, you’re literally heaving!”

He has your back arched enough that you can see how your chest is moving to his rhythm. Your hands are placed on his bed post as he’s got your hair in one hand and your chin in the other. He’s got his hips pummeling into you, his own body arching over yours so that he can rest his chin on your shoulder.

“You’re like…” He’s chuckling a bit. “Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh!”

Your words were about to form a snarky comeback when he hits a particular thrust that makes you choke on your spit a little.

“Hey,” This asshole has the audacity to snicker at you. “Breathe, baby, breathe.”

Thank god you don’t go into a coughing fit. But you also curse whatever reverence is out there as your boyfriend leans back and straightens himself, stopping when you’re so close to your climax.

“You’ll need air if you’re gonna be moving, right?” His voice raising an inflection towards the end of the question.

“Huh?” And your voice does come out quite pitchy.

“Well, I’m not doing all the work,” He slaps your ass. Hard. “So, come on, back and forth.”

“God, you’re seriously a grade A asshole.” Yet you find your hips are already slapping back to him, your back arching to his pelvis.

His hands find themselves steady on your waist, only there to hold on to some stability and guide you to some sort of pace. Soon, your bedroom is filled with nothing but your wet squelching and a speed comparable to that of Ariana Grande when it comes to switching races.

“Uhh, fuck,” Saxon has long abandoned his motive to stay still, rocking into you as he palms your tits and enjoys how your ass bounces back on him. “Fuck, fuck, you feel real good...”

You’re so close, and you know he is to with how he twitches inside of you. You got him whispering into your shoulder, your name repeated like a prayer.

He’s calling you pet names in between his moans. “Let me cum inside…”

In usual Saxon fashion, he’s not asking with a “please” or a “can I…?” but masking his demand to sound like a request.

“Nooo,” You’re telling him unconvincingly. “Pull out…”

“What? You scared I’m gonna baby trap you?” He’s got a lilt in his voice, still teasing you when you’re both so close to finishing.

“Yes, don’t fuck around!”

“Yeah, maybe I will…” Saxon’s got his arm snaked around your waist now, thrumming into you all harsh. “Have a tiny me go running around…”

You’re yelling “Saxon!” but he feels you clench him at that notion.

“Yeah, and you’re probably gonna be calling for me just like that too.” His fingers are working magic on your clit, circling your bud in quick motions. “You know me… I’m a family man.” And boy, is he.

You can’t even respond, too focused on finding your end of the bargain. Your boyfriend is also stuttering in his movements, rutting faster to get to his arrival.

You reach your release before him, Saxon cumming right after and painting your back in white.

He falls on top of you, warm to the touch. You bask in the comfortable silence, deciding to ignore the mess that’s gonna need to be cleaned. Better to enjoy this quiet before Saxon catches his breath, right?

What a year…

I didn’t post a single bit of writing in 2023, though I did write, and so in 2024 I set out to post one thing every single week. I kept it up until mid March when my phone (which I write, edit and post on) shat itself real bad and I was stuck on a very old missing lots of functions phone for five long weeks. I digress.

Though, in the month of little to no phone I watched a lot of tv and in that was Bridgerton. I then found a meme on Google images, scrolled their tumblr acc on the browser until it made me make an account and—as they say—the rest is history.

Yes, Bridgerton is the reason I’m on this app, but I’ve truly found such a beautiful sense and array of community. I’ve never been able to connect with other readers and writers like I have here.

I’ve posted 15 new works, all now complete, onto Ao3 this year, across 7 different fandoms. Four of them were new fandoms I’d never posted/written before! This doesn’t even include the five chapters of repose (she still exists I promise), the drabbles on tumblr, and my beautiful darling smau Obligated.

I still have plans for a 12 days of ficmas and starting the week after that (around the 11th of Jan) I hope to start posting weekly again. Though maybe ficmas will clear out the drafts/vaults lmao.

Truly, thank you to all my mutuals, readers, fellow writers and anyone I’ve ever chatted to on here for bringing me such joy and igniting my love of writing in a way it hadn’t burned for a while. I’ve had a big year in my personal life, but I have valued and appreciated this safe space of joy more than you could know.

Love you all, and here’s to more writing and perfectly silly fandom joy in 2025. To my first real haters I got this year, thanks for letting me know I’ve ’made it’ as a writer lmao.

torokatober 2024 day 23/31 - family

He has a family.

The weight of it settles into his soul, warms him from the inside out. He’s spent his entire life forming makeshift families, pretending that he’d found where he belonged. That he’d found home. And while there were bits and pieces here and there, moments of belonging, of happiness, nothing compared to this. This knowing.

Cathy was his sister; their long-standing suspicions confirmed by a DNA test. He knows his name. He knows who his parents were. How they died. He has a birthday. Old family mementos that Cathy had managed to salvage and protect for all of these years. A resemblance to his father. His mother’s cookbook.

So many tiny, seemingly inconsequential things that he hadn’t had before.

And now he heads home, as Triton Bloom, born November 8th, AC179. Home to the family he’d found along the way, to the man with whom he’d secured his heart for safekeeping. He can already see it, the way Quatre's face will shine with joy for him once he tells him the news.

During the war, he’d wondered about the whereabouts of happiness. Now, he thinks he’s found it.

What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care about anymore?

Oh gosh it's been so long since I was a teenager. And there have been so many. It's less that I don't care and more that just, the obsession has faded and I don't actively ship them any more. Most of my old ships, I do still like, and under the right circumstances, I might be able to spark an interest again. Let's see, some things I was really into as a teenager...Buffy/Angel...Kunzite/Zoicite (Sailor Moon)...Zechs/Noin (Gundam Wing)...probably more, but those are the ones that stick out as being like super-ships for me.

2. Which ship would you consider your first one?

Mulder/Scully. I shipped them before I even knew what shipping was.

3. Your first fanfic was about which couple?

That I wrote? And actually published somewhere? ExR Les Mis fic.

4. Do you remember the first couple you saw fanart of?

Not really but it was probably something from Sailor Moon.

5. Have you ever gotten into ship discourse?

Nah, ship and let ship.

6. Did you use to have any NOTP or have one currently?

I have had them before and I have them now. In the interest of not hating on things I know other people like, I won't name them.

I read a Gong Shangjue/Gong Yuanzhi drabble while I was scrolling on tumblr yesterday. It's not really one of my current ships but it was a good little drabble!

9. Is there any couple that, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together?

I've been thinking about this question since I read through @lucientelrunya's answers, because I KNOW I had one but now I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Like these two people were so perfect for each other and it didn't happen and I remember being livid about it, but I guess I've since blocked it from my memory.

Also, not really "not getting together" but I'm mad that John Grey/Percy Wainright didn't get BACK together in Outlander. :|

10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?

Nothing I can think of off the top of my head.

11. Do you have any ship that, in the past, would've been considered normal but now you would be cancelled over?

I guess some of my ships from The Fandom Which Must Not Be Named would fit. Author sucks, but I do still like the characters/ship.

12. What is your favorite crack ship?

Changheng/Dongfang Xunfeng (LBFAD). Don't ask. I think I'm the only one here. It came to me in a dream once and now I kind of ship it.

13. What is the couple you read the most fanfics about?

Uhhhh...I'd say probably Zechs/Noin from Gundam Wing. I read a LOT of GW fanfic back in the day. Like. A Lot. Like everything that existed on ff.n with that pairing. Because we didn't have AO3 back then. Weilan (Guardian) is probably a close second.

14. What do most of your ships usually have in common?

ANGST. Seriously I'm not sure what it is but I have had a ton of immortal/mortal ships, which will, in most cases, inevitably end in tears.

15. What you absolutely hate in a ship?

Lack of communication. The number of times I've actually yelled at my screen because of relationship drama that could have easily been avoided by having one simple conversation is...too high to count.
