@bookahlogy has pointed this out before about eye colors being weird, where one eye would appear as if it's shiny from the light, while the other remains more or less unaffected by it in the slightest. My suspicion was confirmed when I decided to take pictures of my character Yuri here, and she ended up being one of the victims of such an occurrence. I reported this bug to Anet, but I do hope this post will bring more attention to the matter.

i desperately wish gw2 had more food-centric lore. i think about asura food more than is probably particularly reasonable. they're sort of implied to like molecular gastronomy in the lvl500 chef quests which is fitting and makes sense, but surely not every asura is eating bespoke Pea Spheres day in and day out right? i think my favorite angle on them is a sort of 50s-80s american-esque food style where there's a huge emphasis on things being Convenient and Scientific, so you'd get a lot of absolute slop tv dinners and canned items that have labels boasting how they were nutritionally fortified and contained your day's complete vitamin intakes and so on. a lot of jellied things. i do also fully believe they would have + eat soylent.

SotO had so much potential at the start but didn't really seem to have direction at the end. I think what bothers me is that the last half of the expac, that which takes place in Nayos, feels so impersonal to the Commander. I really wanted a story that made the Commander/Wayfinder/Whatever come to terms with their highly traumatic past via having them get offered the position of wizard. Which would then make them think back to everything they've done and had to do to ensure the survival of not only themselves, but the entire fuckin' world, and whether or not a fresh start is worth erasing yourself, your memories, your relationships.

Finally, probably right before or even DURING the final boss fight, the Commander goes "nah, i think i like remembering my friends, loved ones, deeds, and experiences, even if those memories hurt they are what make me, me."
