Blossom - what’s your favorite flower?

It’s pretty cliche but I’ve always loved roses. They’ve always been my number one flower.

Flowers - what’s the nicest thing someone has surprised you with?

I love to dance. The husband does not. I dance literally all the time, doesn’t matter what I’m doing. He surprises me every now and then by dancing with me in the kitchen when I’m cooking or if I’m just vibing out in the living room in the evenings.

Fun Facts - what’s something people would never guess about you?

That I smoke 🍃🍃. No one ever expects it or can picture it 😂 Apparently I don’t give off the vibe of a smoker nor do I look like one??? Y’all hear about me smoking way more than the people in my every day life. I just like to indulge in the quiet hours of the night and it always surprises people when they find out.

Meadow - do you prefer the beach or the woods?

The beach. The ocean is a part of me 😂 My family is from the east coast so I’ve always had a strong connection to the ocean. I could never stay away from her. She is my life force.

Music - what’s been on repeat lately?

It’s been a romantic weekend with the husband so there’s been a lot of baby making practicing music on. Specifically Some by Steve Lacy & Tú by Maye.

the monster(s) is a mystery and also a metaphor and also, at least in the eyes of Jamie the Main Character, irrelevant (u dont ask the centipede how it got in ur house u just get rid of the fucker so ur not terrified in ur own home) so it wont b talked abt much BUT

how they find out how 2 kill the monster sort of also explains how it exists almost?? so i cannot say. i will say that winter was sort of vaguely rightish when she said the bastards helped create it

what inspired them was i lov monsters and had so many ideas for them in my tiny lil headtop and i was like i want to do so many kind of monsters i have to pick one!! and then i said wat if i dont tho <3 and made a monster that can be anything instead. (”the author said u can be anything so i became a shitty little summer clone and a ball of limbz”)

ye at my old work i have story upon story. i worked at a tourist place where u showed ppl around old underground tunnels and just. ye. big scary.

i fucking love hotels i love the generic homeyness of them and how they r trying so hard not to be liminal spaces and also the pillows are always so fucking comfy and i like that the sheets are so crisp they make noise when u move

Suburbia: What are your writing habits?

sitting down to write and then Not Doing That, Actually, and Doing Something Else Instead, then immediately wanting desperately to write whenever i am away from my computer and cannot <3 thats truly it thats all my brain is so smooth no habits can fit in the grooves in there 

Minotaur: If you get writer’s block how do you deal with it?

usually it’s sort of an “only way out is through” thing so i just force myself to suffer and write utter crap and then leave it for a while and come back to it. music also helps sometimes too esp when i’ve left it for a while. i just listen to the playlists for my WIPs and then i get back into the Vibe 

Subterranean: Which poems/books/films/etc. have inspired you most as a writer?

obvi we all kno i go nuts for richard siken. i think maggie stiefvater’s writing is great. i am not a fan of st*phen king as a human being but i can’t deny i did learn a lot from reading his books originally. aaron sorkin the screenwriter absolutely rocks my shit and his smooth dialogue/fast paced banter is smth i always try to replicate bc it rocks
