Vo der us isches de ad Westküste, die isch sehr ruuch, het vieu Wäue u bietet schöni Sunneuntergäng. Mitem Wätter heimer würklech sehr Glück gha, bis iez

Innerhaub mehrerne Täg heimer d Pancake-Rocks, Hokitika Gorge u Rägäwäuder gseh. Usserdem simer i däm Örtli gsi wo bekannt isch für sini Jade-Steine.

Via Haast simer inegstoche für Wanaka u Queenstown z entdecke

Mir si dr erst Bungyjump vor Wäut ga luege, aber gumpet simer nid.

Witer isches ar Ostküste entlang gange, dert hei mir Seehünd u Albatrosse bestuhnt. Usserdem simer uf d Suechi nach blaue chline Pinguine, leider ohni Erfolg.

So simer no meh wieder zrugg i Norde zum Lake Pukaki u Lake Tekapo. Bi dene zwöi tiefblaue See heimer üs fasch chlei wie in Kanada gfüehlt.

Mir si in Kaikoura glandet, wo berüehmt drfür isch das d Wale u Delfine nöch am Strand chö beobachtet wärde. Das chline Surferdörfli het üs sehr gfaue, oh wemer leider Rägätage hei gha. Ufere Waltour mitem Boot hei mir chönne Pottwale u verschidensti Delfinarte beobachte.

So isches cho, dass mir zu üsem letschte Stopp, Christchurch, si gfahre. Ei Tag isch zum d Stadt ahluege ihplanet gsi, die sisi momentan am wiederufboue vom Erdbebe. Dr anger Tag heimer gnützt zum d "hushautig" erledige, packe u Camper abgäh.

Iz isches auso sowit, Neuseeland isch bereits düre u mir si parat für Oustralie.

There we hired a kayak for one day and saw this beatiful Park.

From there we drove all the way to the west coast which is very rough. It has also a lot of big waves and awesome sunsets. The west coast is famous for the wet weather but we were really lucky and had, like on the whole NZ trip before, all day sunshine. Within a few days we saw the Pancake-Rocks, Hokitika Gorge and the Rainforest. Besides we visited the capitol town for the Jade stones.

Over the Haastpass we drove in to visit Wanaka and Queenstown. There we saw the very first bungyjump in the world but we didn't jump, it was too low for us. ;)

Further we went to the east coast and observed some fur seals and giant royal albatross. On the Otaga Peninsula we have searched some blue penguins, unfortunately we didn't find them.

In the middle of the South Island we felt like Canada because of the two deep blue lakes (Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo) and because of the highest mountain (Mt. Cook).

The second last stop was the small town Kaikoura which is famous for the whale and dolphine watching culture. We really liked the place but for our bad we had some rainy days there. Of course we went on a whale watching tour and were lucky to see a sperm whale and some different kinds of dolphins.

After one month of driving we reached Christchurch. We spent one day with sightseeing in the city, which is destroyed from an eathquake a few years ago. The second day we had to pack our stuff and to drop off the campervan.

Sadly New Zealand is already over, but the next country, Australia, is waiting for us!
