Heeeeey!! It's been a while, huh?

Sorry about that, but med school has just been soooo time consuming and wasn't able to play even a single minigame. But I'm on vacation now and I'm free as a bird, haha.

So, I'll keep posting this because 1) I love Jake, obviously, and 2) I've been waiting for Moonvale since they announced it and I just can't wait! Fingers crossed we'll see our favorite hackerboy again.

As they booked the cabin in the woods to escape the sorrowful town they have lived in, the chaos never seemed to fade away. MC, looking at her phone in disbelief, waiting for Richy's message where he texts her he's okay, is trapped in making a strenuous decision.

He wasn't going back wasn't he? The memories flooded back to her like a relentless storm. The MC's heart raced as she relived the chilling moment when she witnessed her friend Richy being viciously attacked. The sight of him coughing blood, his eyes reflecting a mix of fear and pain, haunted her every thought. She clenched her fists, feeling the anger and helplessness surge within her. The MC's determination to seek justice for Richy burned brighter amidst the darkness of the town she was about to make a decision to go in.

Her mind told them to continue searching for Hannah. That's what she promised to Jake.

Her heart on the other way... It was screaming to her to go there. To be with them. It wasn't fair she was watching from afar how her friends suffered and were constantly exposed to the danger as she was powerless sitting at home.

The clock was ticking.

Tic.

Tac.

MC: Save me a bed.

Jessy: Whaaat?

Cleo: Are you coming in duskwood?

MC: You don't really think I would let you guys go alone.

Thomas: You sure?

MC: Of course. I'm packing my bags right now. See you there.

Lilly: Text me when you get in duskwood, I'll pick you up.

MC: Great

Lilly is now offline.

Jessy: See you soon!!

Jessy is now offline.

Thomas, Cleo and Dan are now offline.

She packed her bags taking the most important things she could think of and ran straight to the train station.

She got on the train and sat down looking at the window when her phone buzzed.

Jake is now online.

'You've got to be kidding me' she humbled.

Jake: You're not going anywhere.

MC: too late

Jake: Where are you?

MC: Two stops away from the destination

Jake: You promised.

MC: I don't expect you to understand. It's not your friend who died in the forest.

Jake is now offline.

'Great...'

The train stopped once in Colville when a face so strange yet so familiar walked in. After a few hours the phone rang.

Jake is now online.

Jake: I will be there too.

Jake is now offline.

Dan is now online .

Dan: Yo what?

Dan: That is something hackerboy.

She looked up from her phone straight at the mystery man. He smirked at her, standing up to get off at the next stop: Duskwood.

After she got off the train she looked around just to realise that the man was nowhere to be seen.

he disappeared.

Just like that.

'Hmm, that was strange" she whispered.

Lilly: Where are you?

MC: Just got off the train.

Lilly: Pick you up in front of the cafe?

MC: I'll be there in 5.

When she got there Lilly was already out of the car and ran straight to her.

"It's so good to see you!"

"Oh my goodness, same to you"

"We should get going, let's not let the others wait"

"Of course, open the trunk first, please"

After they finished piling MC 's luggage in the back, they left to Roger's Garage, where they would also meet the others.

Her head was full of thoughts. That man. The hut. Jake. Richy. What would the others think of her? The wall of ideas was shattered by Lilly when she broke the silence.

"Have you spoken to Jake in the meantime?"

"No... Not yet." I sighed.

"Well, you will soon" Lilly said with a sweet smile.

"Well, yeah I guess, I know he's mad but we have to continue the investigation."

Lilly looked at her smiling innocently, continuing to drive the roads that seemed so familiar to MC: this is where Jessy was attacked, this is where Dan worked, oh and this is where Jessy's brother Phil works. The town felt like home for a couple of minutes.

When the car arrived at the garage, a strange feeling surrounded her. She got out of the car and looking at the others she ran to hug Jessy.

"I can't believe you're actually here, MC."

"Me neither to be fully honest"

"I thought your hackerboy didn't allow you to be here" Dan said laughing.

"Oh well, I'm here, that's all that matters"

"So am I."

She looked around in the midst of jokes and chatter among her friends, a sudden hush fell over the group as a faint sound caught the MC's attention. With a quick turn of her head, her gaze locked onto the figure of a man, standing at the edge of the clearing. Time seemed to stand still as their eyes met, a mix of surprise and longing reflected in his expression. The forest around them seemed to hold its breath, creating a moment suspended in uncertainty and unspoken emotions.

"Jake."

"Hello, MC."

Her cheeks turned pink and her heart was pounding. She felt the eyes of her friends peeling off her skin as they maintained the eye contact.

That's how she met him 🤍

Imagine the story where the villain threaten Jake by choosing between saving MC from the death or saving the entire world from the virus that will damage their brain through radiation or something (cannot come up with anything but Kingsman reference).

"So what will you choose, hackerboy?" The villain mocks. "Save this woman of yours or the entire world?"

Jake clenches his jaw, his brain stop working since the moment MC said she'd involve in this mission.

"ANSWER ME!" the villain yells.

"In the end, you make me choose to save the entire world..." he trails off. "...or my entire world."

He stares at the screen which showing her in the dark room with him being told that wrapped by so many bombs, so many explosive things.

Just when Jake want to open his mouth and answer, MC cut him off, "Jake."

The sweet voice of her makes him falling one drop of tears, brushing his cheek that is covered by mud and blood.

"I have no idea if you could hear me or not, I have no clue what you two are talking about," she sniffles. "But if you are in the position to choose between me or the world..."

Don't say that, Jake says as if he knew what will the girl says.

"...choose the world."

Jake grimaces in pain as if every words that comes out from that sweet mouth of hers is slicing him, cutting him into pieces, tearing him apart until there is nothing left to harm.

"Because then I can go to the afterlife. And if there is a god, I will make him cry and beg for your forgiveness."

And then cut! I don't know what's next.

Alright, I contacted the group.

Thomas already contacted the number which was send to him.

I will give the number access to the chats now and will contact it afterwards.

I should make it short. A video call he smiles, knowing how impressive his skills can be.

Let's save the number first. Maybe I will know the name after saving it and I can take a look at the profile picture. I'm really curious who might be behind the number.

He realizes that he is litarally staring at the picture and shakes his head.

Ok, the chat between Jessica and Dan is over. My turn.

I have to make sure, that hiding my identidy has the highest priority.

In the moment he sends the message he bites his bottom lip.

Damn, that sounded a bit hard. I didn't mean it like that.

Why she wants me to choose a topic now? My last smalltalk is definetely too long ago.

Seriously Jake? You can't think of anything better? He shakes his head.

MC, I'm sorry that my words come out so hard and distanced. I really want to talk to you. You're so interesting as well and I already feel a connection between us but I can't open up to you. We don't have time for that.

So many thoughts crossing his mind but he has to protect his identidy. He must save the distance between them. It's too dangerous for him. And also for her.
