Seriously, no one else is going to say it? It’s been a good while since this movie was released, Hacksaw Ridge was a well made movie about a well-meaning religiously ignorant man. Let me explain, the movie is about a Seven-day Adventist who wants to fight in World War Two but he doesn’t want kill anyone because the Ten Commandments in the King James Bible says “thou shall not Kill” and the main character took that mistranslation to practice, of course in context the correct wording is “thou shall not murder” David kill Goliath, David did not murder Goliath. I only watch this movie once I found frustrating, I felt like the old man yelling at the TV screen hoping that someone with some biblical knowledge can explain to the main character what that Bible verse means. ive recently reignited my marvel obsession, and would absolutely adore some sort of superhero roleplay! im a sucker for cliches, so perhaps a hero x civilian, or hero x villain! i have a lot of ideas for this, and would love to dive deeper into them. im just begging for a scene where the civilian is patching up the hero (who they may or may not know is the city's hero). for this, i don't care what pairing we do or what role is assigned, i just prefer to play the female lead if we choose mlw! 

this one is kinda out there, but i would love to do a plot centered around an injured soldier falling in love with their nurse. i recently rewatched Hacksawridge, and love the idea of the angst that follows an injured soldier having to adjust to being in a hospital rather than the frontlines of battle. lots of angst, lots of comfort, lots of sweet moments. i have ideas for this too, but don't wanna give them all away!!

i am literally begging someone to do some sort of royal arranged marriage plot with me. i recently finished queen charlotte, and im dying to do some sort of enemies-to-lovers plot like charlotte and George!!

Main Character/s: Desmond Doss, Dorothy Schutte

My Overall Thoughts: Overall, this film showed just how brutal war can be, and it showed how terrifying it can be. It also showed how one man, Desmond Doss saved countless lives that many thought would be better left for the dead and how he did it all without using a rifle or other firearm. The film was brilliant and truly emotional and the way that Andrew played Desmond was truly extraordinary.

Warnings: Abuse, blood and gore, guns, brief nudity, explosions, fire

‘Do not look to him to save you on the battlefield’ and then he proceeds to save more than 40 lives off of that barren ridge, when he literally was the only force that was going to save their asses on that battlefield after the first battle was fought.

Over the course of what, two, three days he single handedly saved over 40 men from that hell-hole and even helped a few of the wounded enemy as well. But of course, they shouldn’t look to him to save them on the battlefield because he refused to weild, or even touch a gun. They never knew why he refused, why he couldn’t, he told them it was against his religious beliefs, which is still partly true, when the majority of the reason was because of his trauma and the abuse his father bestowed upon him from such a young age.

They mistreated him gravely because of his inability to pick up a rifle, it was war of course, and firearms are a big part of war, as is fighting and other serious things. But Desmond Doss was a hero, he saved so many lives and they realized the mistakes that they’d made.

Andrew Garfield portrayed Desmond Doss in such a way that he served his  sacrifices justice through his acting, because if you weren’t aware, this movie based off a true story.

‘With the world so set on tearing itself apart, it doesn’t seem such a bad thing to me to want to put a little bit of it back together’ that line is one of the things that keeps me watching this film over and over; those words hold so much power and so, so much emotion.

This film is fenomenal and I very seriously recommend that you watch it.

Hacksaw Ridge

Suggested by one of my bestfriends. He made sure I watch it by reminding it everyday. 😁😂 Glad I could Watch it. No need to review on the concept since it was based on a true story. Loved it, enjoyed it.

Desmond Doss's courage, faith and standing up to what you believe in was remarkable to have that sort of faith in a battlefield fighting all through t he night and making sure the soldiers were alive ,well No words. Simply a beautiful Movie itself.
